I bought a vehicle from Vertu Doncaster in October 2023.The vehicle came with a one year vehicle mechanical warranty and a three year wheels and tyres warranty. One week after purchasing the vehicle it developed an intermittent misfire. After numerous conversations with the salesman and Service Manager I was told to take the vehicle to various garages within the Bristol Street Motors group to fix the fault under the warranty. After 8 months, three seperate garage visits ,360 miles travelled, three days off work and no car it was diagnosed as a faulty Turbo.Vertu warranty was contacted by Vertu in Bolton who after 2x visits finally managed to diagnose the problem only to advise me that I was not covered.After reading the warranty Booklet/paperwork thoroughly it was clear that the vehicle was indeed covered. I contacted the warranty company (same company
Vertu) who told me that I had been given the wrong warranty booklet at point of sale and they would not cover the £1900 repair. I contacted the salesman and complained that I had been sold a £15,000 vehicle with a turbo that needed replacing and the warranty that I had been given did not cover me and some how i had been given the wrong warranty booklet??? Mis-sold or something dishonest ? .The Service Manager said he could not do anything and basically I have been left with a £19,000 (finance)vehicle I cannot drive.I have contacted the Motor Ombudsman and I would warn anybody thinking of buying a car from this group DONT!!!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Vertu Honda (Doncaster). I booked my Honda Jazz (15 plate) for some routine work, just to replace the rear brake discs and pads due from an MOT advisory I received in May.

At the time of booking I was offered a free complimentary 'vehicle health check'. I dropped it off at 10.45am and was told it would be a few hours. I received a call around 12.30pm from an advisor with a rather unpleasant surprise that the mechanic believed the front discs and pads were actually in more urgent need of replacing than the rear ones. I was advised that the discs were 100% worn and was asked if I would be happy to go ahead with this work which would cost another £373. I was also advised that the mechanic tested the clutch fluid and there was 4% water in it so this would need replacing, at a further cost of almost £50. In total the bill was likely to be around £800 which is quite a significant increase from the £373 which I had originally agreed to.

My vehicle was serviced in May and at that point it was indicated that the front brake discs were measured at 20mm and my car had passed its MOT with no issues other than the advisory on the rear brake discs. I have always had my car serviced every year, including a major service with Vertu Honda in Doncaster in 2023 which I believe should have covered the clutch fluid so I was surprised that the clutch fluid tested was 4% water.

I didn't agree to the extra work and instead decided to seek another opinion. The advisor was clearly not happy and tried pressuring me that I would be going against the mechanic's advice to not have the front discs and brakes replaced. When I returned to collect the car, I was shown the health check sheet and advised again that the front discs were 100% worn. It stated the discs were measured at 18.6mm when they should be 19mm as mimimum. I was also asked had I seen the video yet? I didn't actually receive the video until the next day (due to an IT problem on Honda's side), when I did receive it, it was somewhat unclear and most of the readings shown were difficult to see without slowing down the video considerably.

After collecting my car I came away from Honda feeling pressured, concerned and anxious. I then took the car to 3 independent garages, all of them checked the brakes and clutch fluid, one of the garages even showed me the measurement in the workshop of the front discs taken with a manual measurement tool clearly showing them to be 20mm. I was also advised by all 3 independent garages the clutch fluid was fine and this should be done again during the next routine servicing.

Along with marking both as red (urgent attention) the health check sheet further states there is damage to the front wheel arch and front bumper. I was aware that the vehicle has a 1cm scratch at the very edge of the arch, likely from a curb brushing and a very small dent on the front probably from a stone chip. Both of these scratches were present before I purchased the vehicle 5 years ago from Honda in Barnsley and neither was noted in my previous services. I don't feel this was relevant to mark as an 'amber' issue. I am concerned that if my insurers (in the event of an accident) were ever to ask to see my service history from Honda on my vehicle this could jeopardise my integrity and position if they were to read that I had damage on my vehicle. When I phoned to rectify this incorrect information and offered to forward some photos so that the system can be amended, my response was met by the advisor that they are unable to amend it on their system or add a note on.

Overall my experience was very disappointing and I am unable to recommend them based on my experiences. I will not be returning here in the future.

Collected our new Honda EV today, the service from my initial online enquiry, test drive, ordering and collection has been so smooth it was hard to believe, Ajay was a pleasure to deal with and we cannot thank him enough, excellent friendly customer service at its best.

Took delivery of Honda zr-v today, from walking in the showroom to order a car via Motability I must say Mr Ajay Singh was brilliant in talking me through Whole process in a professional manner from start to finish. On collection day Ajay talked me through all the settings even paired my phone for me, in addition Ajay had made sure there was a FULL tank of petrol which took me by surprise, what a thoughtful young man and a credit to Veru Honda at Doncaster.Finally I would like to add all the staff I had contact with where very polite and very helpful 5 * rating is more than warranted.

We’ve just bought our second car from the Honda dealership (Vertu) in Doncaster. We’ve had two great experiences buying cars from here over the past four years. The salesman Ajay was professional and extremely helpful showing us all our options to purchase. We never felt pressured to make a decision and felt that we were given time to explore all options and change our minds along the way. We collected our car and were extremely pleased with the process which made it feel special for us. I would highly recommend to others that this car showroom is well worth a visit. Ajay Singh helped me to choose the new Honda vehicle I wanted to lease. His manner was very professional but friendly and put me at ease. He took me for a test drive which made me feel this was the car for me.
He spent time on the day of collection setting the car up with connection to my phone which was most helpful. He also took time to show me where every thing I would need to use was.
If I wanted another car in the future I would definitely request for his service.

I would not recommend Vertu Honda Doncaster because when I purchased the car it was advertised that the tax was £180, when I got there and after I had paid for the car I was told the tax was over £500, a small body panel is loose near the front drivers side wheel arch, which I noticed when cleaning it, one of the front tyres has barely 4mm tread left and the other side has no wear, so I have to buy another tyre to even the wear, not even any floor mats, I had to purchase my own, and no good will offers at all even after paying nearly £30000, I will not use vertu honda at Doncaster

Had a very positive experience with Vertu Honda dealers in Doncaster. As we live in Shropshire we did the whole choosing and buying procedure online. Quite nerve wracking!
The staff were exceedingly helpful and reassuring through the whole process which gave us the confidence to proceed.
Visuals and information on each stage were clear and upfront.
All that was promised was carried out to a very high standard - the bodywork, valeting, attention to detail, optional offers.
Our contact, Shaun, could not have been more courteous, helpful, understanding and informed.
We took delivery of a car which met all our expectations and was a real delight to see at last.
