Reading the absolute sea of red one stars on this company trading as Clear Business and all wishing no stars could be given with very similar experiences to my own.

Do not entertain this company under any circumstances whatsoever. An absolute nightmare.

Run a mile

Run a mile. Do not sign up with them. Undoubtedly the worse service I have ever had in 52 years. They lie, they cut you off mid call when you complai, I was overcharged for first 10 months of my contract. I have sent well over 50 emails and called well over 50 times to complain. I have spent literally hours on what should be a very simple Internet contract. The sales guy that missold me will not return calls or emails. QUITE SIMPLY THE COMPANY ARE TERRIBLE

Disgraceful Company

I have 2 telephone lines, originally from Unicom, now from Verastar which operates through the trading name Clear Business - CB). In early October CB announced that they were going Digital. On "D" day my phones stopped working and as at today 24/11 still do not work. CB however are still managing to charge me for those lines. it is impossible to have a meaningful conversation with anyone (other than the telephone operators, Verastar/CB put up defensive barriers , The only time I had a person rang me was when I threatened to report then to OFCOM, and now he is hiding.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR ITS TRADING ARM -CLEAR BUSiNESS
I will be contacting OFCOM

Clear business water account 957690

Clear business water account 957690

Despite Clear Business help desk confirming that this account was closed on January 31 when we left the property, we are still receiving invoices. Clear Business have been provided with land registry details of the new occupiers and details of the liability of the vendor relating to the month of February.

The only recourse now it appears is the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman.

Absolutely awful company - avoid

I wish I could give this Company no stars!! We finally got an account in our Company name 24th May 2025, however we have been chased incessantly for overdue payment from the previous tenant despite advising them for 1 year that we are the new tenants. No one responds to emails from either Verastar or Clear Business they only speak to you by phone so that they can deny receiving the call and what has been discussed. They sent someone out last week to cut off our water - they where sent away without doing that! I cannot get anyone from either of these Companies to take ownership of this issue and sort out! I have complained to Scottish Water - they don't want anything to do with it. Complaint with Scottish Public Services Ombudsman is in progress.

DO NOT USE

I have written several bad reviews on here. This is 1 company I wish I had never heard of. It is disgusting that they get away with treating people in the manner they do. My issues started when I left my business over 3yrs ago and is still on going. I have as is legally my right issued them an invoice not just for the refund that but for my time, costs & interest. Whilst I have had limited correspondence from their so called customer service department we still have no resolution It would appear the only words the customer service team know and O quote "we are so sorry I will personally make sure this is dealt with' guess what out of around 20 different people not one of them has manged to resolve the issue or issue the refund due. BTW the only company that supposedly takes 3 months to write a cheque, that even after 3 months still never arrives. My papers are now prepped for the Small Claims Court, not that I expect anyone to turn up but hopefully with a Judgement against them I might finally get my money owed

Not a great Company!

We deal with Clear Business (was Kinex), absolutely shocking company! Customer service is terrible, cannot get through, keep getting cut off then they don't even bother to come out! The questions they ask are ridiculous, all in all a very frustrating experience. Crackling lines, phones and internet going off. Would not choose to use this Company again.

The very definition of a 1 star…

The very definition of a 1 star company. Terrible customer service, constant lies and now my contract is up I get to be bombarded by these “people” phoning constantly. If I could go back in time I’d erase this company from my awareness.

I just read they are moving their company to Romania and demanded their uk staff move. I’m sure that’ll maintain their high standards lol. Their staff aren’t the sharpest tools but that still seems a bit mean.

my experience
A card machine sales person called me in October
(also known as Inspire payments Clear Business and
Verastar) the sales person patiently explained
That my per transaction chargers would be nil
We spent quite a few days making sure
I was happy with the contract..
we went over it to get it right
But when I get my bills
That is not the case. They put into the contract 4p per transaction not nil
Nobody pays that much. And the sales person told me nil zero
But it’s a year and a half contract
also watch out there maybe a roll over
in the contract

Please do contact me, I have not yet received any information from you further to my previous review.

I have now endured more than 11 years of being persued for a debt for which I was never liable by Unicom/Verastar.
This is for supposed fibre broadband to an address than still does not provide fibre broadband. It is a cut and shut situation, and yet still I have been pursued by your agents and subsidiaries despite my many written explanations and rebuttals. This is impacting my life to the point where I can't tolerate it any further. You have been cited previously for misselling and investigated twice on national radio. You were fined in 2018 for this practice. Please contact me so we can settle this matter. Siobhan McManmon. You have my email.

Your original bill for a service I never asked for or received was £48.00 and has been inflated to greater than 3000%.

You need to fix this.

Really one word comes to my mouth is…

Really one word comes to my mouth is clown's.... Rented a garage without any water supply back in 2019 for a year and now got a letter with 1158$ bill for what? For water even unit doesn't have water supply and it's impossible to deal with them...waiting for the court date now and for all that stress they will pay...why they have 0 star reviews ? On other fraud end is that it supposed to be clear business but received letter from different company? You will burnn
