My first time using this auction house and I’ll certainly be back… Great quality item, accurately described in the catalogue - extremely well packed, with very speedy despatch and delivery. More than delighted 👍

I have successfully bid on Vectis auctions several times in recent years. In any case, my package arrived safely, thanks to the careful packaging. I am also very grateful for the careful and correct filling out of the accompanying documents every time. :-) The contact from Vectis was correct and polite every time. All in all, I really appreciate the work they always do to a high standard.

As a bidder in the U.S, I won eight items in one of their recent memorabilia auctions using their online proxy, liveauctioneers, and Vectis is now, days later, attempting to cancel two of my winning bids (25% of the won lots) using the excuse "clerking error." The winning bid price on their own website matches my winning bid for each lot, so while I suspect the true reason to be that the price was above the reserve, but below expectations, it really does not matter. They're breaking their contract with me and so I refuse to settle the invoice for any of the items until I'm provided with a true and correct invoice that reflects the entirety of my winnings.

Be careful using this company as a consignor and do not rely on an expectation of professional competence on their part as a bidder, because they're proving to be dodgy AF and any group of simpletons that find auctioneering complicated or confusing should be actively avoided by anyone with integrity. Seriously.

This is aimed at people in the EU buying from Vectis.
There´s a lot of improvements to be done here by Vectis.
First is that the VAT already payed is not stated on the shipping invoice. In Sweden the customs and postal service will always go by what´s stated on the package.
That means I will pay VAT a second time as well as whatever customs charge. This is handled a lot better on Ebay and everything is taken care of on the website.
Also Vectis has incredible high shipping costs (which is not stated anywhere on their website as far as I can find)
On Ebay I pay about £40-42 for the same size item and through a private seller I payed £28 for a larger item that Vectis charged £80 with the same company Parcel Force. Vectis then states that the charge is for postage and packaging. So I´m paying somewhere inbetween £40 and £60 for packaging????
In the end I end up paying £140 extra for a £90 item.
Taking then into consideration that Vectis can never give exact content on for instance playsets that you can easly get from a seller on Ebay I´m having to stick with Ebay in the future.
If your from the EU I would say stay away from Vectis and stick to Ebay and Facebook groups.

My experience in Auctions the best way is to go and look at the stuff but if you're not able to look, it's a gamble. You can't expect the Auctions to count jigsaws to count cards when it comes to diecast if it's an individual piece they can do that, but one is a lot of models you have to go off the person who's putting it in nearly always the person who puts the stuff and believes it brilliant but sometimes they have overlook the little things I am collectorat myself. I work at a auction place by myself if you live outside the country you have to take that chance when you're looking online I think Vesta have a good website. It's a big Auction house. You've got to rely on stuff unfortunately it only takes one it does not care. It's just a job but that's running like one percent. one day I will visit there. I live in Ireland. I love the Auction days. Have a good look at the pictures. The only criticism I got on Auction day if you look at some further down the line got a bigger picture you have to wait till it up on the website for sale and then you've only got a few minutes to make your mind but I'm sure in the future you will correct them but you can look at the stuff the day before but always Auction day you take that last chance you have a good look you have to wait for Auction but that's only a little The rest. Unbelievable the work they got into it. I will always give them my five star it's obvious some of the people that buy from the Auctions. In my in my experience. I can understand that but it's an option you have to rely on the people that's putting the stuff in for most of the information for the amount or lots that goes in you can't expect hundred percent it's an auction for me. I would give you five stars for the work they put in and the staff of very devoted, but remember there's always at one percent that will let you down sometimes.

I bought from Vectis quite a few times. I would highly recommend this auction house. Very caring and helpful staff. Models are always packed very well.

I recently bid on 2 seperate lots in a Vectis auction. It was my first experience with them, and I was unsure how it worked. I need not have worried, even though I was out bid on the first lot in their "Timed auction" I did win my second choice. I received an email with a link to my invoice very swiftly. However, unfortunately I had an issue at my end and couldn't view it on my phone, so I emailed Vectis and told them. They replied very quickly and sent me a pdf version, and also a paper copy. I also asked about when I was likely to recieve my item, expecting at least a week or two before dispatch, given that the auction had quite a large number of lots, and it didn't finish until late afternoon. What great service! My item was packed and dispatched within 2 days. Why can't other companies match this performance? Well done everyone at Vectis! One very good company to deal with 5 stars just isn't enough in my opinion.

They do not even know what they are selling and just lie about complete items without taking 5 minutes to check.
what i bought was advertized as complete.
(Decipher, a Collection of "Star Trek Trading Card Game" Trading Cards. Vendor states as complete although unchecked)

I e-mailed them and asked if they could say it was complete or did any kind of check and the reply was:

(Usually, we do not state that a collection like this is complete, but the vendor has assured us that is the case.  Unfortunately, we are not able to check the collection, as there are hundreds of cards per binder.  It is for all of the Star Trek CCG made by Decipher Inc.)

a max 10 minute check would confirm 40% is missing because all the set names are written on the binders. I have sent 2 messages asking for a clarification but no answers after 3 weeks and therefor i write this review.
i will never believe anything they write.

A huge thank you to everyone involved at Vectis Auctions for their incredible work on selling my childhood dolls and accessories recently. I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish the whole process was straightforward, incredibly well organised and so professional. Their website and timely communications were excellent. They did all the pre-work - they advised on saleability, they did all the research, finding the dolls’ names, identifying each one’s original clothing and any rare items, they catalogued everything in great detail and arranged the items into different lots to maximise their value. I was so impressed with the two lady auctioneers who were on camera for many hours on the day of the auction, they weren't daunted by the huge number of lots they had to get through, they gave the same care and attention to all the lots equally, right to the very end and they managed everything so well on the day. It has been a real pleasure to get to know the auction process with Vectis, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and I will certainly contact them again if I decide to sell any more items. A very satisfied customer.

I had a small issue with my online account, I contacted the Admin team by email and they were so helpful, and quickly resolved the issue. I also like the fact that you can telephone them and actually speak to someone without having to go through an automated system, everyone I have spoken to is friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service is key, well done!

Had a few wonderful ‘lots’ of bears from here. Great service. Very reasonable postage unlike some. The lady auctioneer’s were spot on with descriptions. Thank you 🤩

I like Vectis particularly the staff, but now the once brilliant web is is just as bad as everyone else, and presumably they paid someone for this "upgrade" The no personnel viewing of lots is a big incentive to not bid the phots do not tell the whole story of condition or completeness of the item. Such a shame Vectis is now just like everyone else.

Whilst my recent review about the changes to their website have been resolved I'm afraid I have to comment on their service again. I was following the auction on 20 March and Lot 518 came up. This was a model I was particularly interested in and I made a bid of £35. This was winning the auction and as the auctioneer brought his hammer down another bid of £40 flashed up on the screen. The auctioneer's comment it was 'far, far too late' but someone whispered something to him and he accepted the bid and moved onto the next lot. This gave me no opportunity to increase my bid and I thought was pretty bad practice for an experienced auction house. I complained to Vectis by email the same day. To compound the situation after 16 days I haven't had the courtesy of a reply let alone an apology.

I have been with Vectis for years but recently it has gone seriously downhill.
I put some antique dolls in for sale and didn't hear anything for months.I kept ringing and emailing and they still didn't put the dolls in any sales. I wondered if they had lost them and asked for them to be returned. No response. I was considering legal action then suddenly received a letter saying they were in the next sale. 8 months later!
There was no communication about prices so the estimates on them is pathetic. I'm worried I'm going to lose bigtime.
I am no longer a customer. I neither buy nor sell with them after a happy relationship for years. The packing is no longer as good as it was either. I've had items damaged on two occasions. It's a shame but there's lots of other good auctions around.

IT team was great from start to finish extra help along the way from showing me how to bid (on the more confusing new site) to how to pay invoices. All my questions and answers have been answered almost immediately. One downside to the bushiness is the lack of knowledge the new catalogers have feels like a group of newly employed younger workers... how ever i still have had an enjoyable experience. I would of gave this a solid 3.5 how ever the IT guy really pulled it out the bag.
