First filing got kicked back because a document was missing. I found out from the county, not from them, and I was pretty unhappy about it. What happened next is why I'm writing this. A consultant called me the same afternoon, told me exactly what had been missed and that it was on their end, re-filed inside the deadline, and then called me again a week later without me having to chase her for it.

I want to be fair here because the person who signed me up was good. She knew the county, she knew the deadline, and she got the paperwork in on time. No complaint about any of that.

Then nothing. Six weeks, no email, no call, nothing. I understand these things sit with the county for a while. I'm not expecting a result in a week. What I expected was somebody to tell me it was sitting with the country.

I called three times. Left a voicemail twice. Nobody called back. On top of that I couldn't work out what I was actually being billed, because the site talks about no fee if you don't win but I'd been signed up on a monthly plan and nobody explained how those two things fit together. It got sorted eventually. By then I'd already decided I wouldn't use them again. It wasn't the waiting, it was being left to guess.

Everything happened by email. Forms came, I filled them in, forms went back. I never spoke to a person and I never needed to. I got a reduction and it was smaller than I'd hoped but they never told me to hope for more, so that's on me. I'd use them again if I couldn't be bothered doing it myself, which honestly is why I used them the first time.

Appeal went in and came back reduced, about six hundred a year. Took roughly eight months, which I gather is normal for the county and not their doing. Nothing went wrong. I also can't tell you a single thing about dealing with them, which I suppose says something.
