We liked the cultural background we have received from tour guide and the ease of touring without getting lost and feeling safe. Did not feel time was utilized very efficiently. Lots of disconnection between the tour guides and the UME as UME is located in China, not in Japan. Had to readjust accommodation at every hotel to fit our family need despite of assurances from the company prior purchasing the package. On the last day, we had to pay out of pocket to extend checkout based on flight time. Overall, the chosen public transportation to different sites was not efficient. On the last day, they failed to send us clear instructions on the transportation to the airport.

Monchai was great from beginning to end. He is knowledgeable and personable, highly recommend him.

I discovered UME Travel accidentally while searching for southeast Asia tour packages.  I wasn't expecting much and was very cautious thinking the company could be a scam.  I sent an email inquiry and Amber reached out to me right away. Planning a vacation for a family of 5 (including 2 teens) can be challenging and there were countless revisions to our itinerary to ensure everyone's needs were met.  AMBER @ UME was so patient and took the time to address all my concerns.  Communication was always prompt and professional and when it came time to send a deposit I didn't hesitate!  My family and I are now back in Canada and our 16day Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand vacation was one for the record books!  There were absolutely no issues with the airport/hotel pickups, tour guides, accommodations, activities/excursions, food, etc.  I don't know how they were so organized across three different countries but UME Travel made our vacation dream possible. A big thank you to our tour guides Charlie (Vietnam), Channak (Cambodia), Monchai (Bangkok), Sam (Chiang Mai), and Lisa (Phuket).  This experience was only possible due to the personal element they created. I would happily recommend UME to anyone looking for a travel agency.  This company is 100% legit and far exceeded our expectations !

UME Travel did all the legwork like hotel bookings, travel arrangements (Domestic flights, Shinkansen, private van with driver and guide, entrance tickets…). I recommend this outfit especially for first timers to Japan. It just makes your trip stress-free and enjoyable!

Dan our Travel Advisor from the beginning until the end was terrific! The trip for 21 days went so perfect from underground trains to Bulket Trains to planes , drivers ! Always there always on time ! w e asked Dan for a private tour and that was exactly what we got! Two days out of the 21 did we join others which was an grest experience!Extremely professional guide Karen! She was wonderful, professional and so full of the history of Japan ! Such a joy and a perfect guide! Watson was humorous and knowledgeable! Our driver Miss Linea was so wonderful, kind, professional ! Our drivers in the Okinawa area were also great! The hotel, to the Onsen’s . A trip we soon will not forget ! I highly recommend UME Travel for an incredible trip!

I have travelled to Japan this summer with two of my children and booked the whole trip (including the flights) through UME Travel. Felix was my booking agent and everything was arranged perfectly with a lot of attention to our convenience. I am blown away by the level of accuracy and communication Felix has offered. The guides he booked were amazing and I had nothing to worry about during the travel, everything was arranged. I would definitely advise UME travel and in particular Felix as travel agent for a wonderful travel to Japan!

In general...Everything was an exceptional experience. I would recommend UME Travel to anyone, which I have already done. All questions were answered, Travel guides and drivers were phenomenal.

Amber was extremely helpful when planning our family trip to Japan. She was very responsive and open to our feedback, and had great suggestions. She was willing to help at every stage of planning, and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable and excited about our itinerary. The quality of the itinerary was excellent. It was very detailed, with changes noted diligently. There were pictures and descriptions to ensure everything was clear. She paired us with fantastic guides throughout out trip which truly made the experience much more memorable. We felt very well take care of from start to finish.

My first impression after Landing in Manila, Philippines was where is my transportation to the Belmont Hotel. All arrangement had been made previous , but failure to complete this task in the rain was extremely difficult. Kristel(JTB) failed this assignment twice in Manila, Philippines. My Cellphone was not performing at the time ,and I had NO internet(WIFI). This I thought was extremely important to pick-up a senior citizen celebrating this birthday for the first time in the Philippines. I was extremely disappointed in UME Travel for the first time. I previous travel to both Malaysia, and Thailand(for my birthday, and both times the transportation was perfect. This time these mistakes cause me additional fares,and uncertainty. I love a little adventure like everybody else, but not when I have to deal with pouring rain, Eva Wang(UME) was contacted and informed of these issues. I expect UME to compensated me for any additional expense. I think a few misstep will not "STOP" me from doing business with your agency. I hope that NEXT YEAR to do something else special!!

We completed our trip to Chengdu, China and Tibet with UME travel; our advisor was Mr. Dan Li. The service of both Mr. Dan Li and UME travel was exceptional. Due to floods at Nepal -Tibet border, our trip had to be rerouted, and Dan made it happen. He maintained excellent communication with us to craft the revised trip and we had wonderful experiences. We had previously traveled to Japan and Bhutan with this company, and Dan has been our advisor on all of these trips. Each of these trips have been flawless and truly memorable. Many thanks to UME travel, especially to Mr. Dan Li.

This is the second tour we've booked with UME based on the exceptional service and tour we had in Thailand. The same level of comfort and service was provided by UME on our 2-week tour through Japan. Ivan was able to customize a family-friendly tour with conveniently located 4-star hotels throughout our stay. The hotels were wonderful and included an onsen, which was a nice perk. All hotels were near a train station, too, which we didn't have to use thanks to the private car service. The tour guides we had throughout Thailand were exceptional; they were local residents and were able to provide an in depth experience for us based on their lives there. In Japan, the tour guides were hit or miss. Most were not Japanese, so they didn't have the same level of expertise and engagement as we had hoped for. Our tour guide throughout Kyoto and Osaka saved the trip because she was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the places we visited and was great with our daughters, too. We would use UME again, perhaps in a future travel to South Korea, but I'd be interested to learn if the tour guides there would be local. Ivan and UME are super responsive and aim to please, which is why we continue to give them 5 stars.

We had an incredible experience with UME Travel for our trip to Japan and South Korea. From the planning stages all the way through the trip itself, everything was organized extremely well and made traveling through multiple cities feel easy and stress-free.

Gary and Ivan were our main liaisons and were amazing to work with. They listened to what we wanted from the trip and put together an itinerary that gave us a great balance of sightseeing, unique experiences, food, culture, and enough flexibility to really enjoy each destination. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and we always felt like we had someone available if we needed help.

The guides were one of the biggest highlights of the trip. In Japan, we had the pleasure of spending time with Jaycee, Megan, and Momo, and in South Korea we were guided by Ricky. Every one of them was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. What we appreciated most was that they didn’t just take us from one attraction to another. They shared their own local perspectives, explained the culture and history behind what we were seeing, introduced us to things we probably would never have experienced on our own, and made us feel much more connected to the places we were visiting.

Those personal interactions made a huge difference and turned an already amazing trip into something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

UME Travel put together a 15-day tour in China & Cambodia.
UME Travel tour guides were very knowledgeable regarding the history of the sites visited. All tour guides were very accommodating and knows how to provide assistance to a senior individual like myself in navigating anciant stone steps. The assigned drivers were just as friendly and helpful.
Lunches selected were excellent and provided insight to local cuisine.
The hotels were acceptable.

The tour was excellent and our tour guide Monchai was AMAZING. Everything was amazing and it wasn’t too hot. The activities were exactly what we wanted. I would rate this 10 stars if that was an option. Would highly recommend 👍❤️

As a single parent, planning trips for 3 teenagers can be challenging. We wanted to visit Japan and Thailand, but had no idea where to start or what to do. Carrie and UME Travel made this experience incredible and beyond memorable for my family! Every day was full of activity and we were able to take advantage of every single minute on our vacation. The guides, like Cris in Tokyo, Ms. A in Bangkok, and Lisa in Phuket, were knowledgable and kind, and provided us insight on every single event we participated in. My children adored them, and were completely engaged and excited for every new day. We would have been completely lost without them. Everyone was responsive and patient, and helped us feel comfortable during our journey. That meant everything to us. The memories we created will last the rest of our lives, and I can honestly credit Carrie and UME Travel for giving me that joy I was able to share with my children. I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Japan with my husband, son, and daughter, visiting Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. I cannot say enough good things about UME Travel and the incredible team that made this trip so memorable.

From the very beginning, the planning process was exceptional. I worked with Dan for almost a year to customize our itinerary, and he was always professional, responsive, and willing to help. He patiently answered all of my questions and concerns and always made me feel at ease, even when I was nervous as the trip approached.

One of the things I appreciated most was the flexibility. This was a private tour, and UME Travel accommodated our schedule and preferences every step of the way. We chose to have some free days in Tokyo so we could explore and shop on our own, and the team was happy to tailor the itinerary to fit our needs. They were also very flexible with destination changes, drop-off locations, and other last-minute adjustments throughout the trip.

Our guides were fantastic. In Mt. Fuji, Kiran adjusted one of our planned stops so we could get a better view of the mountain on a day when visibility was limited. That change made all the difference and gave us one of our favorite memories of the trip.

Yuya, our guide in Kyoto and Osaka, went above and beyond for my husband and son, rearranging part of our itinerary to take them to a special anime location they were excited to visit. That extra effort meant so much to our family and made the experience even more personal.

David, our main contact while we were in Japan, was outstanding. He constantly checked in on us, provided updates, and made sure everything ran smoothly. It was reassuring to know he was always available if we needed anything.

The transportation arrangements were flawless. Every driver was punctual, courteous, and professional. They ensured we never felt lost, escorting us directly to the correct bullet train gates and meeting us when we arrived at our destinations. Their attention to detail made traveling between cities completely stress-free.

Three generations from ages 14 years to 75 years , from Alberta , Canada .Carrie has put in many hours of researching for us for hotels , tours , places to eat .Carrie provided a guide and a driver . Everything everything was just wonderful . The family of ten has made many memories from this Bali holiday and the credit goes to Carries patients and understanding of our needs .
