I've read the reviews and I think the experience depends on the individual caravan owners.
We booked a caravan at Craig Tara (owned by Rona Mitchell) and it was lovely. Rona replied to our booking request within a few hours and even gave me a phonecall to explain everything.
Accomodation itself was lovely and the refundable deposit was received 7 days after our checkout.
The booking site is easy to use and my experience has been lovely, but like I've said, read the reviews and judge by individual sites/ owners.

We booked a 3 night break in Wigbay…
We booked a 3 night break in Wigbay caravan park in Stranraer, on our 3rd day we discovered the passenger back window of our car was shattered, 30 minutes earlier the landscape gardener was strimming the grass and we believe the strimmer dislodged a stone which hit the car window, we informed receptionist and she contacted the owner of the park who’s answer was “it could have happened anywhere” the car hadn’t moved since the day before so that wouldn’t have been possible, we had to pay Autoglass £115 to replace the window, I’m sure the park would have liability insurance to cover things like this happening.

How awful - and we're sorry to hear that you seem to have had a very unsympathetic reaction from the park owner. We'd recommend that you put an official complaint in writing to them to claim the Autoglass bill.

We stayed in this caravan from 11/08/2025 for a week, 3 adults and a teenager, our stay was amazing, the caravan is pristine clean, the beds are very comfy, very modern, and has everything you need, like home from home, Tamzin has thoroughly thought out what is needed and has gone above and beyond to provide in the caravan, and also games for children, which is a lovely gesture along with out door sports gear, foot ball, tennis rackets etc etc, Tamzin is lovely and very polite and makes booking extremely easy and stress free,
The caravan site is perfectly positioned as it is very close to the beach, the retail park, high street, super markets and also the train station, in my opinion its perfect for a holiday.
I highly recommend staying in this caravan and caravan site
10/10 from a very happy family thats had the best time.

We never went the owners email is invalid his phone number was disconnected and he never answered till sat at 2.30 how could we take an 8 and 4 year old in the off-chance it was a scam I would like my money back the girl in your office said he was a bizzi man all he had to do was text and say he would send messages how to check in so angry

However, our Customer Service Representative was able to successfully contact the property owner by both phone and email, and the check-in details were provided several hours ahead of the scheduled time.
We’d also like to reassure you that the owner is a verified advertiser on our platform and has been listing with us since 2022. His advert clearly confirms his identity and legitimacy, and there was no indication of a scam or reason to believe the booking was invalid.
We regret that this led to your decision not to proceed with your stay, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you have any further concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team directly.

Not being computer literate I asked my daughter to hslp with the booking. it was completed in no time. Confermation of booking was quick.
I shall use ukcaravan4 hire again, providing my daughter is available to assist.
