Fraudulent service - AVOID

Good value quote and easy to book with a breakdown provided at the time of booking. This is just a rebooking service with no inventory or responsibility for the agreement itself. However the breakdown is not available again anywhere. When we came to collect the car from the actual rental company (Avis in our case) there was no record of us having already paid for a child seat and without the breakdown I had no way of proving it. So we were charged again by Avis for the same car seat. Not Avis’ fault.
On raising this fraud with Uber we were originally told a refund could not be provided. After 2 weeks of back and forth we are being asked for unreasonable levels of proof to continue the dispute. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from a globally trusted brand that we will never use again.
We will be escalating the matter further.
Avoid like the plague.

Absolutely horrible service

Absolutely horrible service. Customer support won’t read your messages and keep sending AI generated responses. I was even transferred to another “specialized team” and got a response 12 hours later even though my case was time sensitive and I mentioned that.

My situation: reserved a next morning car rental (it was almost midnight so a couple hours before the ride). While purchasing there was only noted I should have a credit card with my name on it. AFTER paying there was a big red tab saying they will charge $1,000 deposit from that credit card. Paying for a service which costed me $52 I didn’t expected for that bigger fee later. It is highly unprofessional to mention that AFTER payment. Just one hour after the payment and customer support keep saying me I cannot cancel my ride without fee because “it’s less than 48 hours before pickup” - even though there were lots of cars available for pickup and I JUST reserved so that uber cancellation fee works very interesting….

If you really need to rent a car and Uber is the only option – WALK.

Yes we have used Uber Gober on 9/9 we caught a uber ride from Thirrioul to Wollongong Australia 🇦🇺 the train 🚆 had someone kill themselves on the train tracks at North Woollongong we were sat there for quite a while and longer than Town Hall Station 🚉 or Wynyard or Central Station 🚉 and we thinking what is going on and we heard a message all alight the train 🚆 but we heard other messages before and we got off the train 🚆 and asked what was going on? The woman at the train station said there had been a fatally at North Woollongong station so I asked if we were going to have buses 🚌 instead yes she said. But I thought this might take a while so thought I’d look for a local bus stop! But a woman asked anyone going to Wollongong station would you like a lift ! Yes please thank you ❤️ But we thought it must be her husband or partner but when we got into the car a local lawyer and the other woman who booked the ride. So when we offered her money 💰 she said thank you. But when we got to Wollongong station the driver double parked on Crown Street and the two woman jumped out of the car 🚗. But I have big feet and shoes so it took me a while to get out of the back seat of the car I grabbed my bag but left my Phone ☎️ on the back seat! I caught up with the local Woman and she did not know the other woman she was inside her apartment by this time! I messaged Uber when got to a local restaurant on the young woman phone and left Three phone number and the restaurant phone number! I tracked my phone on Find my phone or other device on My IPad to an address in Towradgi and no one called me back on the phone numbers I gave them ???? And the next morning I tracked my iPhone to Dapto Xray place so I messaged Uber again no response from them??? I went myself to where I could see the car 🚘 parked silver Camry Toyota? But no one responded to my messages ??? My phone battery 🪫 died of low power 🪫 so I drove there and I asked a lovely woman hairdresser she showed me the house the driver and a dog that was attacked so as we came to the house the driver was standing on the driveway and I asked him if he owned the Silver Camry across the road yes he said and I asked him if he found a iPhone in the car yes he said I was going to call the police 👮? What about Uber I asked? No and we have been waiting for 3 very long months now NO RESPONSE FROM UBER SUPPORT OR Other people from Uber???? They are as useless as Booking.Com Con ??? Take your money 💰 hard earned cash 💰 but no service or responsibility??? Both companies Or Trust or LLC??? If we could give a negative star rating both companies would get minus ➖ 20 stars 🌟Why is Uber not responding or responsibilities terrible company management And allowing people to write reviews on Google reviews????

I'm a female driver who was sexual assault by another female driver. I reported it to Uber they deactivated my account for sexual miscoduct. I am a victim of falsely being misclassified with fals allegations. Uber is a scam with there policies and rules. They take riders and driver money. They held my funds when the deactivated my account. Uber is a scam

This company is literally scamming

This company is literally scamming. I have literally been put through hoops just trying to get my money. I made sure I prepaid them, And when I was not able to pay an extra deposit that was not expected. They said that they could not return my money, even though I never got the car. They use companies such as pay less, budget and Avis. They trick you by giving it to another third-party cart rollers that’s one way how they delay in giving you your money.

The new Uber Corporate money grab game is…

The new steal implemented by greedy Uber Corporate is the “bait and switch”. 4 ride types appear. 3 ride types are 10-12 min out. 1 ride type is more than double the price but only 4 min out. Once you choose the 4 min to pick up, Uber app adds 8 minutes to the arrival time. Bait, and switch. This happened multiple times past 3 days. Do not trust the “pay for short pick up time” does not exist, and you pay the price. Total BS

Uber did me wrong

I worked for Uber and completed over 400 trips in 2 months for them but I truly wish I had invested the time working for someone else or doing something else. Uber is handsdown the worst company to work for.
They take over 60% of the fare the rider pays but in addition they do not care about their drivers and our safety on the road.
On November 10th, a Rider vandalized my car by putting white paint all over my black seats. I notified Uber about the incident the same day but a week later, they replied telling me that they did not approve my request because I failed to send the cleaning fee request within three business days which is inaccurate as I notified them just hours after the incident. I called to follow-up 3 times, with each call lasting about an hour, but I get the runaround everytine. Now, it's just impossible to reach customer/driver service to even follow up on my complaint/request. Almost 2 months later, Uber just ignored my request and show no concern nor empathy about the sad/ hate driven occurrence. They told me nothing substantial let alone a compensation for going through the trouble of removing white paint on my black car seat so my car can continue to be available to make them more money. THE WORST.

On 11/30/2024 you took money from me. I never asked for an Uber. I never asked for that request. I asked only once. And it was recorded twice. And I was surprised that it was deducted from my account with my debit card with a company called Pappara. I want my money back, please. The amount is 220 Turkish liras.

Awful

Awful. Kept being delayed then different drivers used. Eventually they cancelled it with no explanation and didn't even let me know! Never again. Deliveroo all the way from now on.

Cancelled within an hour of booking, received no refund

I was unaware the credit card needed for the booking had to be a physical card and I only had a digital one. They have no cooling off period and they only made it obvious and clear after you made the booking that you needed a physical card, so I immediately went to cancel the booking and received no refund, even though I cancelled it within an hour of booking it. Absolute scam, will never use Uber again.

Terrible dealing with customer service

Terrible dealing with customer service. As someone below has mentioned, take money..link you up with a terrible company (this case car Italy), long staley but didn’t end up getting the car due to the company - Uber failed to recognise their error and didn’t refund money.
Best to go with direct company’s who are trusted such as europcar, hertz etc etc.

Uber rent service took my money when I…

Uber rent service took my money when I made a booking online then when I went to collect car booked, the partner company didn’t give me the car illegally , for illegitimate reasons. Apart from this hateful and fraudster behavior from the phisical rental company Autovia srl , Uber rent, via online customer service, denied to refund the money of the car that I booked with them on their application and then didn’t get it.

It s like if you go to to buy a good:
1) you pay~
2) you don’t receive good in exchange-

It s a theft.

Be aware!!! Don’t use Uber rent ever!!!!!

I wish I could give 0!
Rented a car 2 years ago before it became Uber car share. Unfortunately had an accident, did all the right things let them know, organised a tow truck and went on a payment plan to pay off the costs (over $2000 worth)
While waiting to commence said payment plan they sold my debt but I ignored as I already had a payment plan in place. Paid everything owed within 6 months thought that was it until now 2 years later I’ve got this invoice from July 2024, I have no idea where it’s come from I haven’t used nor contacted the business for a year. I’m getting text messages from said debt collectors for unpaid debts that keep going up each day???? Never using something like this again.

Worst Experience Ever!

A year ago, my friends and I rented a van through Uber Carshare. The van was old and not in the best shape. Upon returning it, we were told we were liable for some pre-existing damages. We disputed these charges, but we still had to pay a portion, and the matter was closed. Now, a year later, I've been charged again! I'm attempting to contact them, but there's no response.
