Avoid them like the plague.

Booked a holiday via a travel agent working for them, had very little issues with the lady herself, I wanted to change the date of my holiday in the end it was decided between myself and the travel agent that it would be best to cancel and re book the holiday, the travel agent then left the company for whatever reason and I was left dealing with the "boss" he seemed like he would be willing to help me out, talked a good talk. He told me he issued the refund, then he started ignoring messages, phones calls and emails. Then some woman started messaging me on his behalf. It took me 5 weeks to get my money back after being in touch with TTA so much about the situation, the refund ended up being short and that took another week to be sorted amongst ignored emails, calls and messages. As soon as he realised he wouldn't be making money from me he just ignored my messages and fobbed me off to a lady that I had never spoke to before.

I booked a holiday through a rep who advertises on instagram. I wanted to go through a travel agent so that all stress was taken from the holiday as it was just me and my 2 young sons travelling ( both with additional needs). Unfortunately this didn’t happen as the rep then left the company before our holiday date. Once we arrived at the airport after a long flight our transfer that I had booked and paid for was not there. We waited a while and it did not turn up. My children were tired and overwhelmed so I had to pay for a taxi in the end. I tried contacting whoever I could but no one was replying to emails or messages. They had put completely the wrong date and time for the pickup of the transfer as I got messages from the transfer company the following day saying they were at the airport waiting for us. We got to our hotel to be told that the pool was closed till half way through our trip. The staff member said that the travel agent had been informed of this to pass information to us but this had not happened. During the holiday I tried chasing this up to complain and to also ensure our return transfer would turn up. No one responded to me. The rep who booked it did try and help but as she had left the company said wasn’t much she could do and gave me the contact info for travel 1st however no one responds!!

Do not book with this company, do not trust their website reviews or promises of a personalised customer focussed service. There phonelines have not been working for several months, the only way to communicate with them is via email and they do not respond. The initial booking of the holiday went smoothly via a remote rep advertising on fb and we did feel they had secured us a good value deal . However company has a high turnover of remote working staff so when you need to communicate with head office, ask questions, pay remaining balances, deposits, make any changes, you spend weeks trying to get a response to emails. Our holiday ended up being cancelled without authorisation 4 weeks before due to fly, without any communication from them, because they panicked when I enquired about making some changes. They had taken so long to get back to our enquiries about options that the time frame for any refund was going to be missed so they just cancelled it!! I raised a formal complaint, only receiving any sort of communication from them once we left a negative Trust Pilot review. They put in writing that we would receive a full refund of the holiday and our additional costs (carparking, seats) within 28 days and asked that I update or remove the review. 28 days has now passed and we have received no refund so have now taken the matter to the Travel Network Trust. We have had a horrendous and stressful experience with this travel company. I rarely leave reviews but would hate for anyone to go through what we have with them. They have caused us so much Stress, time consuming emails and continuous dissapointment

Travel 1st are always very professional when replying to queries in a very timely and helpful manner. I always know I will receive an excellent level of service from them and know they are on hand to help at any time.

Update on complaint with travel 1st.
Lee Ashton who I believe is a director, (He refuses to provide his position in the company or contact details of His solicitors) Mr Ashton Attempted to recall all of his emails that he sent to me, regarding this complaint, and their error in booking the totally wrong holiday destination, at 5am this morning , and delete them!! what are you trying to cover up Mr Ashton,? you are destroying evidence that the courts require.

Great company to deal with, excellent communication throughout and can’t do enough to help you. We used Lee for our first cruise with MSC and he was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I booked a weeks holiday for 2 with Travel-1st. They beat the prices of the companies and it felt like the exact same process in terms of booking. I even got an update abou the place I had booked had building working 50 metres away and was given the option to change which we was both glad of. Would highly recommened, Lee Ashton did a great job.

Greg, Lee and the rest of their team are so helpful. Always going out of their way to help out as much as they can even out of hours. Constantly beating quotes and such an easy plain sailing process. Love working with these guys ☺️
