Easy to use website

Easy to use website, e-ticket came through instantly. No trouble with the train or the ticket master, I just showed my email ticket (just make sure your phone is charged or print it off). Cheaper than the other websites and I had allocated seat numbers on both leg of my journey (I didn't ask for that and it was free!)

Massive savings made

I make regular trips from Scotland for the football in Liverpool, and have saved a small fortune over the last few seasons!
A couple of recent bookings have been affected by the rail strikes, but I’ve had quick & easy refunds both times.
Highly recommended.

Cheaper than Trainline

I first found traintickets.com via Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert back in 2021. He said the site was consistently cheaper than Trainline which it is like 90% of the time in my experience. They have the same mobile e-tickets and no fees (just the split-saving one, which is only 10% of the saving and well worth it for the huge savings produced). Bravo. Happy user!

Poor information from train companies NOT THE TICKET SELLER

I am editing my original review as it was the train company who gave me wrong information, traintickets.com have been amazing with their assistance in this matter, a matter that has caused me a great deal of distress and anxiety, however traintickets.com who I have used many times in the past without issue have been amazing in providing me assistance and support with this issue.

I would always recommend using train tickets.com as a way to purchase fairly priced tickets online

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry to hear of the delay to your journey.
I have emailed you to ask for some more detail, but from what I can see you have been given incorrect information by the station staff.
It looks as though it was the last leg of your journey which was delayed, by which stage you would have been using the last ticket in your split. Your existing ticket was valid on any train after 8.30am on the day of travel (see National Rail Enquiries for full restriction detail here: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/W5). The fact it was purchased as part of a split ticket has no affect on that.
You may be entitled to compensation from the train company responsible for the delayed service (in this case, GWR). Please contact us on support@traintickets.com and we will help in any way we can.

I have to go back to putting in all my details for every ticket I book, is there a way of saving my trip details for my bookings?

Frequent Traveller

As a frequent traveller to Edinburgh I usually have a few train sites on the go to search for the best price to match up with best time. However, I always come back to traintickets.com. I like the split ticket option they offer especially if I am departing from one station and returning to another. Prompt email delivery and tickets can be downloaded with ease.

I know a lot about train tickets

I know a lot about train tickets. What I really like about traintickets.com is how it displays the results, clearly showing the items selected, why these are good value and only charging commission based on the savings made. Yes, I know they get 5% on all tickets sold, but so do all the others. It's just their openness that very much appeals to me.

Had to book and pay twice

I booked the tickets a first time and never received them on email so i had to book them again at a higher cost

It would be nice to have an account to be able to view bookings for when emails are accidentally deleted.
Edit : 1 to 4 star due to knowing bookings can be retrieved by emailing
