I'm livid with their service

I'm livid with their service. I ordered a power washer, lawnmow trimmer, and timber floor on 07/03 and was told it'd ship out straight away. Days passed with no delivery, so I rang them. Turns out they couldn't get the timber floor, i said no problem I will pick different floor that’s ready to go no update for few days turned out they had trouble with it also The replacement finally arrived, When it finally turned up on Tuesday at my house the power washer was damaged 🙄. I rang and was asked to emailed photos this morning and they ring back no phone call so I called again was put through to the department but no answer i hung up and rang back but now they're ignoring me. Horrible service, won't be shopping with them again."

Great company with fantastic customer care

The delivery was incredibly quick, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. Dermot handled an issue we encountered promptly and truly went above and beyond to resolve it for us.

Brilliant After sales service

I recently bought a chainsaw from Toss Bryans and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The price was very competitive, but what really stood out was the service afterwards.

I had a small issue with the saw (likely my own doing!), but the team sorted it out quickly and without any hassle. The aftersales support was absolutely impeccable.

It really does pay to shop local and deal with people you can trust. Fair dues to all the staff in Toss Bryans – a top-class experience from start to finish.

Great customer service

I’m very impressed at the efficiency of the customer service at Toss Bryan’s. I received a delivery of a Conga Robot Vacuum cleaner and it was faulty. I telephoned to report it and was immediately sent out a replacement cleaner which is working perfectly.

Bit of a joke

We have had three different attempts at delivery of our shower set, each time missing parts. The first delivery came in torn boxes with other peoples names on them.
After many emails and phonecalls and several weeks and different deliveries, we thought we had everything sorted. On the day of shower installation we realise as well as the previous errors, there was also no shower valve included so we are now looking at a hole in the wall where our shower was ripped out, with no new shower for at least a few days. Everyone seemed lovely on the phone but now waiting to speak to staff for the fourth time about an error, it is clear there either isn’t much care taken with orders or knowledge aboht their own products. Beyond frustrated.

Kerbside delivery ans poor communication - avoid

I ordered two tumble dryers. After ordering I immediately contacted the company to ask them to take away the old appliances on delivery. Reception left a message with the white goods department and said someone would call me back. No one called back so I called again and still no one returned the call. Delivery arrived and they would not take away the old dryer. The store have offered to come and collect the appliances separately. Additionally when delivered it was only kerbside delivery so he left both dryers outside in the rain. One was for my elderly mother who couldn't lift it. Kerbside delivery for white goods is ridiculous. Will never order from this company again.

Beware - Items out of stock!

Ordered a shower tray online on 4th Nov. Was notified on 6th Nov via email that the item was not actually in stock when we ordered it (this information was omitted from online when ordered). We were informed via email the item would be due in on 17th Nov so contractors were booked for that weekend. On Tuesday 18th Nov after hearing nothing we emailed again confirming the item was due to us. We were emailed back and told the item did not arrive and they hope to receive it on 19th/20th Nov and that the person we were dealing with would be off so she would ask her colleague to follow up on this the following day. We did not receive any correspondence the following day despite us emailing for an update. We then rang direct to Toss Bryan's and the woman told me she saw our emails but didn't respond and that she'd get a manager to call me back. The manager called me back to say the item still had not arrived and it would be at least another week, and that he probably could have gotten us another shower tray type sooner but not by the end of the week at this stage (don't know why this wasn't offered to us sooner). We then got in contact with Chadwicks Nenagh who saved the day and were able to overnight order us the same shower tray and we received it within 24hrs for a lower price. Very disappointing from Toss Bryan's, I expected more.

BEWARE.

Extraordinarily bad customer service!
Utterly frustrating.
Beware - out of stock items.
Beware - refunds promised for those out of stock items, but not actually refunded, even 2 months later!

As a consumer, I try to give my custom to local Irish companies and usually have a good experience.

However, there are those who simply do not seem to understand that treating your customer with basic respect is crucial if they are to retain the goodwill of customers. We all make mistakes. Basic good manners and communicating in a timely manner is all that's needed to make things better when they have gone wrong.
This company does not to understand that.

I ordered online and paid approx €550 for a tumble dryer. Received an email the next day from 'Keith' to say it was out of stock and after several emails and a call to the company I was told by the section manager, Trish, that it would be a couple of weeks before I could expect delivery. She offered me a similar item, slightly cheaper, that was in stock that they could deliver in a few days, plus €30 refund. She was pleasant to deal with and I accepted that compromise. I confirmed our agreement including the model number by email to 'Keith'.

True to her word, Trish had arranged the replacement to be collected yesterday for delivery to me and the item turned up today, Tuesday, unannounced.
Wrong item - not replacement as agreed.

I called to speak with Trish but she was not at work today, so I asked for 'Keith', the signatory of the emails. Ages hanging on phone waiting for him. No answer. I phoned and spoke again to the receptionist and asked her to get a message to him to please call me and, as she asked, I briefly described the issue. I then quickly emailed him alerting him directly of the issue. No response.

After some time having not heard from him I called back and spoke to the same female receptionist who, when I asked when he'd call me, just kept telling me he'd call me as soon as he could, as soon as he'd figured out what had happened.

I tried to make my point that 'as soon as' was as long as a piece of string, that whatever happened I had been mistakenly sent the wrong item and I wasn't very interested in what happened at their end, only in how they'd resolve the problem and I needed Keith to tell me what that solution was and how long it might take.

Well, while I was speaking Madam High & Mighty got up on her high horse, shouting all over me and refusing to listen, and then told me she'd cut the call if I continued swearing at her! I asked what swear word I'd used and she told me she wouldn't repeat it. Funny that....she'd suddenly morphed into the Virgin Mary! The fact is, she could not repeat my swear word as I did not swear, though I was certainly somewhat irate, mostly as a result of how she was handling my call, and had even earlier in the call acknowledged to her that I was frustrated, apologised for that, but was not irate with her!
So, she cut the call.

I again emailed Keith and alerted him that I would complain to the managing directors if I hadn't heard from him by close of business today.

Needless to say, hours later and Keith has not called me, nor replied to any of my emails.

After several phone calls, most unanswered, and several emails over several days I've got now got a big lump of a tumble dryer that I do not want and is in my way!

To make matters even worse, I've just become aware that a previous refund promised in September has not hit my bank!!!

This company now OWES ME over €1000 FOR OUT OF STOCK GOODS that they could not supply and REFUNDS PROMISED BUT NOT DONE!!!
It almost looks like a dodgy business model.

I have emailed the managing directors as listed on their site, Tom Bryan & Lourde Bryan, requesting full refunds (€1027.90) are sent to my bank without further delay.

Utter waste of time, if not actually something far worse!

UPDATE
TUES morning call from Dermot. He said refund of €468.95 for the item not supplied in September was refunded yesterday (wow, coincidence?)and would be in my bank on Wednesday!
He suggested sending another dryer. I declined, asked for the thing that's here to be collected and a refund sent to my card. He said the driver would give me cash! I said I did not want cash so he undertook to refund to my card as soon as our call ended. It would hit my bank on Friday he said!

Email refund notification for the original September item. Dated today - not Monday! Nothing re the present €550+ owed.
THURS
A person called Tom calls to say he'll collect dryer 4-6pm Fri & will give me cash. CASH. Aaargh! Tom is the MD, does a neat line in sarcasm, characterising his own company as the worst on earth, full of awful people etc etc. Not very funny, as it's true!

NO MONEY HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY MY BANK.
No surprise there!

STILL OWED €1027.90.

WHY INSIST ON GIVING ME CASH - not refunding to my card?

Poor communication

Love to leave a 5 star but the level of communication re. delivery was very bad..
No notification of despatch or delivery message..
Truck just arrived outside the door..if we hadn't been home the item would have been left out on the pavement...
Luckily the courier was very helpful..

Excellent Service

I recently purchased online from Toss Bryan in Fermoy and from start to finish the service was excellent. Keith kept in touch with me throughout, letting me know there was a slight delay with my order and then updating me again once it arrived. I really appreciate this level of communication – it makes such a difference, as there’s nothing more frustrating than having to chase up companies for updates. Thank you Keith and all the team at Toss Bryan’s – keep up the great work!

Messy experience - poor customer service

TL;DR Website descriptions unreliable, communication around delivery/collection very poor.

Ordered two items (Jul 27th) - the company contacted me (Jul 28th) and advised one item was out of stock and would be delayed and the other would be delivered in 2-5 working days. I acknowledged that was no problem.

The company advised they would let me know when product was being dispatched. They did not. When I emailed to ask for an update (Aug 6th) I did not get any response.

Aug 11th they emailed to ask for my phone number to provide to the courier company, I sent this on, and the courier rang the following day to arrange delivery for Aug 13th.

When I unpacked my order, one item was significantly larger than described on the website. I contacted the company to request exchange for an alternate product or a refund.

They apologised 'Sorry for that', and offered to send a replacement, and to collect the old product at the same time the new one was being delivered. I agreed and asked that they let me know when to expect delivery/collection so I could work around it.

Aug 15th, with no prior warning, a truck turned up to collect the original order. I let Toss Bryan know and didn't receive any acknowledgment/ response.

21st Aug I emailed again to ask for an update. Received a response saying the replacement had been dispatched, that the staff member would get in touch with the courier and get back to me. He did not.

22nd Aug, with no prior warning, truck turned up with replacement order.

For the past 5 years, I've been trying to buy from Irish businesses rather than multinationals. I don't expect perfection nor do I expect an Amazon-style minute-by-minute tracker - but through all of my dealings with Toss Bryan, I felt like they didn't care about me as a customer at all. I asked for information on shipping, and collection so many times, just so I could organise work and child-minding if necessary, but they never sent any tracking information, or let me know what day the order was dispatched so I could estimate when it would arrive.

I don't mind if products are out of stock and delayed, or that the website description was incorrect so the initial delivery was wrong, but the number of times they said they would notify me about my order dispatching, and then didn't follow up or respond to me was very disrespectful.

If you work outside of the home or work from home and have scheduled meetings, or if you have kids that need collecting from school/activities, I wouldn't recommend ordering from Toss Bryan.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Ordered a white hob online, 5 days later (after my email), they inform me that it was out of stock and they'd send me a stainless one . I emailed back saying no way, to just refund us. They did not. I receive an email informing me that Dpd was delivering this WRONG order . I rang Toss Byran . Put on to many people . They told me to refuse the order . I work nights so I could not. I emailed DPD ,stressing to cancel this WRONG delivery.
We are waiting 17 days for this refund. Disgrace. I notice I'm not the only one they've done this to judging by the reviews.
Money grabbers, quick to take our money , slow to send it back. Il be reporting them to the consumer board if no refund in the next day. This is something that they do it seems. Not even an apology.

Went down to see the shop after seeing their competitive prices online. Excellent service. Lawnmower arrived the next day fully serviced and fuelled. Will definitely visit again
