All Time For You Branches Nationwide and Independently Owned. Time For You provides properly screened and vetted self-employed, part-time casual domestic cleaners to private households. The tasks performed would typically include normal household cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, washing down paintwork, cleaning toilets and bathrooms (and depending on franchise areas) ironing. However it is you the client who gets to determine the tasks performed each week enabling you to get the cleaning that gives you TIME FOR YOU! We clean your home so you don’t have to! Be careful

Firstly, in my opinion, they treat their cleaners as if they own them and they are a business resource, not human beings. Our cleaner was brilliant, but unfortunately poorly treated by them.

Secondly, be very careful with this company and read the contract carefully.

I am not allowed to disclose what has been said to me by Time for You, including what action they have taken with other clients to enforce contracts, but one may infer how far they are willing to go based on other reviews.

Note: this is a genuine review, I just don't want to provide my details as I've already discussed everything with the local branch, and I don't want any further communication from them. I also don't want any risk of reprisal from head office. I'm happy to prove that I was a customer to Trustpilot, if necessary.

Didn't show up the FIRST THREE TIMES!

We are extremely disappointed with this service. We made it VERY clear from the beginning that our ONLY requirement was punctuality and consistency. We both work from home so we have to work things around cleaners. Despite this, after a good first clean, the cleaner failed to turn up three times in a row, once due to 'diary confusion', once cancelling at the very last minute, and once simply not showing up at all (no communication). Each time we rearranged in good faith, only to be let down again. This level of unreliability is completely unacceptable, wasted our time, and showed zero respect for the client. We have cancelled our contract and would strongly caution anyone who values reliability to look elsewhere.

To be fair though, the office had good communication and refunded us quickly. We were asked kindly for a 'fourth chance', but come on... they were lucky to get even a second or a third chance. The only thing we wanted was a reliable service, and they fumbled the first visits. :(

I have reached out to your local office and the business owner Don Lyon is truly regretful that a catalogue of unfortunate events has led to a really poor experience which is not something which is strives for and an experience which should never have happened.

He has a Cleaning Manager, Szilvia, who deals with the day to day but Don will step in when occasionally something does not go to plan to try and take steps to make things right for his clients.

Sadly, in this case, he was not in the loop until l your patience had understandably run out and he believes he could have resolved the situation had I been given the opportunity earlier.

After being let down three times, it is understandable that you lost confidence and wanted to cancel and we can only say how sorry we are that it came to that point, because I know we had the potential to provide you with the reliable service you asked for.

Don has also asked that I add a personal note from him:

" I never take the loss of a client lightly, even after 12 years in this business, it still hurts. I am grateful that you acknowledged our communication and refunds were handled well, and I truly regret that we did not get the chance to restore your trust and deliver the consistency you deserved."

Thank you again for your honest feedback. I will continue to use experiences like this to strengthen our systems and make sure we give every client the reliability they expect from us.

Not good

One cleaner turned up with her daughter, who was about 14,charged me for 2 hours cleaning for one hours work! Another cleaner drove into my front wall,disappointing, she drove off! Another cleaner broke my microwave & shower! Cleaning was very poor,not up to my standards !

Brilliant experience

Just an exceptional service. My account managers, Tish and Jack, are incredibly customer orientated and you can see that this profession is their passion. Communication is fantastic and they have high standards in the way that they operate and the service that they provide for me. My actual cleaner, Michelle, has literally improved my life! She offers a quality clean, every time, and goes above and beyond in so many little ways. I don't know what l ever did without her!

First impressions are important.

Have never employed anyone to provide house cleaning services so have no comparison. However, initial meeting was informative and helpful. Contact was made by possible cleaner who will come next week and provided everything works out and we are happy then all systems are go.

I understand this is a national company operating through local franchises. My comments are based solely on my experience with the Newcastle upon Tyne branch.

Before signing a contract, I would advise caution. The agreement is for a minimum term of three months (quarterly), during which the company charges a commission, and you pay the cleaners directly.

Please be aware that the cleaners may not be professionally trained or experienced, as many are just starting out. The onboarding process is conducted electronically, and everything may appear well-organized and professional — including a home visit — but you will not be given the opportunity to trial a cleaner before signing the contract.

Once signed, you may be assigned a cleaner (who they will claim is “perfectly matched” to your needs), but in reality, the cleaner may be entirely new to professional cleaning. While you can request a different cleaner each week, success with this may vary. Although you would initially be assured day and time of your choice for house cleaning, it might not work out due to frequent "sickness" and "shortage of staff/cleaners".

Even if you are dissatisfied with the service, the company fee for the full three months remains payable. To be fair, every business has to start somewhere, and over time they may be able to recruit and train better cleaners. I genuinely wish them the best.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We aim to be as transparent as possible about our service model: clients pay cleaners directly for their time, and a separate management fee to us for vetting, insurance, and ongoing support. Our agreement does include a minimum term, which is clearly stated at the outset and reiterated in our Terms of Business before any payments are taken.

Regarding cleaner experience, while many of our cleaners are experienced professionals, some are indeed newer to the industry. All cleaners are reference-checked and interviewed in their own homes as part of our onboarding process. We always encourage open communication if a client feels a cleaner isn’t the right match, and the franchisee will do their best to resolve it swiftly.

We appreciate your acknowledgement that businesses grow over time, and your fair-minded wish for future success. If you feel there’s more we can do to address your concerns directly, please don’t hesitate to contact the franchisee or our head office team at headoffice@uk.timeforyou.cleaning.

I’m have found a great cleaner through Sam, and she is fantastic at arranging cover if my cleaner is away, or if I need a new cleaner. Time for you has definitely saved me hours of searching and a load of stress!

Reliable, personable and trustworthy cleaning

I had Matt call me almost immediately to hear my cleaning needs. Within 3 days he had arranged a cleaner which was brilliant. Since then I have had Matt check in with me and arrange cover cleans for when my cleaner was on holiday. It is such a relief to have regular reliable cleaning in my busy house and I feel that Matt oversees it all so well, it feels so personal. I’d highly recommend

Terrible experience

Terrible experience.
Too much damage too little interest or accountability.
The actual house cleaning was fine, but had to let them go after 6 visits due to multiple damages to contents and wall and perception of shoulders being shrugged by the franchisee.
Probably best to for another cleaning franchise.
Response to response: I explained that I am a tradesperson! There's a difference between lines a hoover brush makes and the scratches that were ingrained into my velvet bed frame (which are still visible), and if a customer having to spend 1.5hrs with a sponge, a hairdryer and a brush to try and minimise the damage is acceptable then fair enough, or the lines over my skirting and wall. I told you to forget it as I'd basically had my fill and although you state you take damages seriously, my perception was you took minimal interest. Not as much as an apology, but if you believe you did your up most then that's ok too, it's not my business. Let's move on, hopefully we can both learn some lessons here.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m pleased to hear you were happy with the cleaning you received from our cleaners.

Regarding reported damages, as a company we take any damages very seriously and do have insurance cover for such events. During your service with Time For You you notified us of two instances:

1- You requested with the cleaner that they use your hoover to make lines on your bed frame-out with the standard scope for cleaning. On the 24/6 you complained that making lines had damaged your bed and spoke to your local franchisee on the phone. During this conversation you said it was fine once you went over it with a sponge and fabric brush, so no further action was required.

2- On 12/7, three days after your 6th visit (9/7) you made us aware of black marks to your stair skirtings. The cleaner hadn’t touched these for a couple of weeks prior, as you requested this task to be done on a monthly basis. This damage therefore doesn’t appear to be caused by any actions of a Time For You Cleaner dusting your skirtings. However, we did offer to investigate further if a trades person was to say otherwise, to which you replied “forget it” to your local franchisee.
