I've just read the reviews on here - a year too late - but I can't believe the response on 24 Oct 2024 from The White Lighthouse to a customer review. You don't care about TrustPilot reviews? Well, what a way to run a business, and to make it so public?! Complete disdain for the views of customers and potential customers.
I had an issue with you last year. I purchased 2 lamps 19 Jan 2024, returned them, have proof of delivery back to you (which I sent to you) but never received a refund. I emailed several times, called (can't leave a message - again, what a way to run a business), posted on Facebook or insta (can't remember which) to try to get a reaction. Nothing.
Your treatment of customers is clearly questionable so for you to say 'a company is made up of people' whilst also saying anyone who leaves a negative review is unhinged is a little hypocritical. I'd love to hear from you and maybe we can discuss my refund?

I loved the website and ordered two table lamps. I then went on and ordered some cushion covers. I had a list of other items I planned to order. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. It’s such a shame as the items were lovely. The two table lamps arrived, there was one shade missing. You call and a recorded message says to email them (you can’t speak to anyone and you can’t leave a message). I emailed, I was ignored. All they had to do was send me another shade out to resolve this. I have since opened a dispute with payPAL, they are saying proof of delivery is evidence it was delivered. I did have a delivery but the shade is missing. They have still not responded to any emails. I’m not a complainer but I am big on principle. This company have zero customer service and if something goes wrong they just blank you. They’ve blocked me from their Facebook now - what kind of company does this? I am guessing they didn’t have the shade, they still don’t have a shade to send me so just thought they’d rip me off instead for £65. I’m going to start small claims court next if I don’t get a refund via payPAL. I’m just a normal working mum and really begrudge wasting my time with chasing this but now will proceed out of principle. They may be Belfast based, but they are still part of the UK in terms of the small claims courts. Awful company.

Found this website while looking for a ceramic pot. So glad I did. My first order arrived within a week and the items were exactly as described on line. I have just received my second delivery and this arrived in less than a week. Totally in love with.my bench table for the hallway. Just waiting for the Marston jug to come back on stock

I ordered a few little bits from the company, and they were delivered within a week. The items are lovely and of good quality. Must admit that I was a little apprehensive after seeing some of the reviews on here, but I can genuinely say that I am perfectly happy with both the service and the items. Thank you

The order was slow to be dispatched (I ordered on 11th November and only received today). I didn't email customer service on a couple of occasions and they responded within a reasonable timeframe.

I didn't look at the reviews on Trustpilot until after I'd ordered and was expecting not to receive the items or for them to be damaged; however, I was pleasantly surprised. The items I ordered were in good condition and I really like them.

Only thing that could be improved is the speed of receiving the order.

Delivery was 2 weeks late. No way to contact, also payed a fortune to return. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

Faulty lamp and no later response to my email to exchange for one in good condition. Was told to pay to send it back… when it was their misdoing in the first place! Happy to take this review down if they can improve on their customer service, as right now I’d not recommend their company at all.

Glad I didn't order from here. Had an enquiry about an item I wanted sent an email. 9 days later no reply managed to get it elsewhere cheaper. They make contacting on social media no existent so email is the only option which is ignored!

Placed an order and received acknowledgement. A week later still nothing from the company so emailed them. Didn’t receive email back so emailed them again, nothing emailed again , nothing. Phoned them as it states open 8am to 8pm no answer and wasn’t given the option to leave message. I then read the reviews on trust pilot! After reading these I contacted pay pal explained situation, I also email once again the supplier and mentioned I had contacted PayPal. Well would you believe it I got an answer that the product was leaving them on Monday. I went back and said ok I’ll take the product they then came back and said sorry PayPal have taken the money back and that they (supplier) won’t be supplying me any further orders!!! I wouldn’t want to order from them again,
It’s funny that as soon as I mentioned I had contacted pay pal they were answering my emails.

Like the majority of reviews, I ordered an item of furniture in July and it never arrived, despite four emails. I tried calling several times and no one picks up and you’re unable to leave a message. I can’t understand how or why this company is still in business. PayPal had to refund £299.

No communication from this company after i placed an order and the item didn't arrive. No response when I emailed them. Had to get a refund through PayPal.

This is a scam organisation who kept my money despite me returning their poor quality product. I tried to reach out over a period of 3 months but received no response. They owe me £42

This company stated that they were indifferent to bad reviews so here goes. Ordered the Sag Harbour coffee table which arrived after a delay of over a month, due to shipping difficulties which we accepted however it was appallingly inadequately packed and as a consequence was badly damaged but not beyond repair. We were offered £60 as a reduction which was not acceptable. Increased to £100 but we still felt this to be inadequate. Unsatisfactory correspondence over it being collected for refund with the company refusing to offer anything other than DX collection with an 8am to 6pm collection window even though the issue was of their making. When we suggested that they might not like to receive a bad review we were told they were indifferent to bad reviews and furthermore were not prepared to offer a replacement coffee table. Judging by the other bad reviews on here a company to be avoided inspite of their very glossy Insta page.

If I could give less than one star then I would.
Ordered two items, both very substandard quality. Cheap 'made in china', no worth the box they arrived in. No customer service whatsoever! When I attempted to return the items they were sent back to me - at my expense. Royal Mail stated "undelivered business shut" The white light house company are now £350. better off! The biggest scam is the ONLY positive reviews are the ones that they have written on their own website. If only I had read the trust pilot reviews before I placed my orders. AVOID THIS COMPANY - AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!

Please Please Please void this company and dont buy anything. Not retunding full amount of the product and return delivery ( as it was delivered demaged)

Was in a shock how bad this company is in all aspects

Item arrived Damaged, emailed no response. Escalated to Paypal. They wanted me to pay for the returns, its a very large item!! So now im stuck with a broken item and £60 down. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!

Everything is wrong with this company, I'm surprised they are still trading!!.... I've had a unfortunate experience with them (reviews left some time ago) .

I took them to small claims court where they lost the case and had to pay me back a small amount for the item & instructed to collect said item.

They paid back amount in coins eg 2pence' s & 5 pence' s in a bag like something from slot machine...... . Sad but probably trying to make a point.

They also collected the item which they broke into pieces in front of my home (caught on camera) ....which happy to share .

My experience was atrocious.. it was not a big purchase but I felt it was worth the bother for others to take note
I donated the coins to charity.

While I had a delay in my order I thought having almost been put off by the other reviews I would write one. I had to contact customer services and they replied prompty, the issue was resolved instantly and the good arrived in 2 days. I am delighted with the unit.

Pawtucket Rustic Decorative Stool....appalling junk in a flimsy bashed box on arrival. No refund even when sent back and received by them( via tracking) Now having to seek legal advice.Avoid this deceptive 'company'.
Cannot be rated even for. one star in reality.
