I have been a student at the Seasons Art class n Congleton for nearly three years. The group is very well run by Stephanie and Alison is a brilliant teacher. I have learned a lot and my art has improved immensely. The camaraderie in the group is terrific. We welcome new members and support each other as we tackle a new challenge every week. Can’t recommend the Congleton group enough

Congleton Seasons is exceptional. I would recommend it to everyone regardless of ability. It is a welcoming space where you can develop your skills and make new friends. Steph is the organisation supremo; the quality of paints and supplies needed for the course are of excellent quality. The course itself is led by award winning artist Alison Stafford, whose enthusiasm and expertise is outstanding. I have been on several courses and enjoyed them all. Even as a returner there is always something new to learn!

I started Seasons Art Classes in Waltham Abbey in 2023 and have to looked back since! It is not just an art class. It’s also a place to meet amazing people and socialise. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. Learning different techniques of drawing and paining in different media is an added bonus. The co-ordinator Anita is amazing. The teachers are very knowledgeable. No two terms are the same. We have different subject matter as well as a variety of techniques to try.
It is an amazing three hours where you can forget your stressful life and just relax. We are given guidelines to try techniques that we have learnt. It is a very relaxing fun environment to learn a skill and make friends. I am very happy to be a part of Seasons Art class.

Great course , learned a lot but again there were a few subjects that I personally thought were a bit of a waste of time but saying that I really enjoyed myself, met some lovely people , Jen is a down to earth teacher and Anita is a lovely person , works very hard and couldn't do enough for you and I wish them all the best for the future

Love my class in Congleton. I have attended for 2 years now and am returning again next term. There is a great variety of techniques, mediums and styles. Great opportunity to try things that probably wouldn't have done otherwise. We are all encouraged and supported so well by Steph and Alison. It is a lovely social atmosphere. Really look forward to each week.

I am thoroughly enjoying this beautiful course. Anita and Jen are amazing teachers. I didn’t ever think I would be able to draw or paint, but with their dedicated guidance, patience, support and knowledge I have achieved some not too bad art! 🤪Our group is so friendly, each one so supportive. We have been very spoilt with delicious 😋 homemade cakes 🍰 I have a busy summer, but really looking forward to joining again in January. I have learnt so much as a new starter and excited to return in the new year. I look at everything so differently now, shades, shadows, colours etc. Thank you Seasons xx

Great value for money, just completed my 1st course at Waltham Abbey. Completely stress free and enjoyable. No pressure to achieve perfection just encouragement and gentle guidance. Ps there’s always cake or biscuits… bonus

I joined season art class in Waltham Abbey 3 years ago and I found every time the class full of surprises in what we are given to produce in our art work. I love especially pencil/graphite as, with no colour, I can produce stunning work and acrylic as is so forgiving and the experience is fulfilling.
The group is also fun. The present teacher is experienced and knowledgeable. The manager is so welcoming and kind to all. But most of all is 3 hours dedicated to myself and doing what I always liked but left closed in the drawer. I've just booked for the next term. Anna

I found it interesting learning to use different mediums and drew and painted things that I probably would not have thought of doing before.

I started with Seansons Art Class Congleton in Sept 25 as a complete beginner and loved it so much I signed up for the January season. Steph is super organised and helpful and Alison is a great teacher. The lessons are always fun and interesting and often not what you might be expecting.
Would recommend giving it a try if its something you've been thinking about - I think you'll love it!

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I first started at The Seasons Art Classes in Paignton, but the experience has exceeded all my expectations. Although I enjoyed art back in my school days, I hadn’t done anything like this for years until I finally decided to join the classes in September 2025.
I enjoyed the initial 12-week course so much that I signed again in January 2026already for another round! The teachers are incredibly friendly and supportive, creating a wonderful, low-pressure environment to explore different techniques and styles.
Whether you’re looking to try something completely new or—like me—are picking up a brush again after a long break, I can’t recommend this course enough. It’s been a fantastic way to reconnect with a hobby I thought I’d left behind!

It had been many years since l had attended any kind of art class. It may feel like a daunting experience turning up on your own and not having a clue what to expect.
I cannot recommend The Seasons Art Class highly enough. If you want to explore your creative site, meet like minded people, have inspiring and caring art teachers, this is the place.
A friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere where you will discover many different artists and painting techniques.

This is my third season at The Seasons Art Class in All Hallows church hall in Allerton. I retired to care for my Mum and so life was busy for a good while but when she passed early in 2025, I had no idea what I was going to do with myself. The class was recommended to me by a friend and even though I live in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, driving over on a Friday morning is the best thing I have ever done.
Ruth and Heather run a very well organised ship. A warm and friendly welcome is always guaranteed and this promotes a morning of art in the most lovely company.
I haven’t drawn or painted since school at 18. At 61, I was a little apprehensive that I would be out of my depth. I need not have worried. With Heathers skilled guidance, encouragement and positive feedback, my confidence has grown and I absolutely love the sessions. I now love all the different methods and techniques and for 3.5 hours, my head rests and I become totally absorbed in the days project.
If life admin gets in the way of being able to attend Ruth sends the work sheets for us to try at home.
There really is nothing to be improved upon and I highly recommend it.

As a journalist and teacher, I found this experience incredibly fulfilling. After many years of working with deadlines, procedures, responsibilities, worksheets, and meticulous planning, it was a pleasure not to have to worry about performance.

I have come to realise that there is an artist within all of us, and the real adventure lies in having fun and discovering a medium in which you feel at home. This journey allows us to reconnect with the childlike wonder inside us. It is not only a technical and artistic exploration but also a profound inward journey.

I was really nervous starting an art class as I’ve never been able to draw even the simplest of things. I can’t believe that I can draw! (certainly not the best but ..) Heather is a great and patient tutor and Ruth is very encouraging. I’ll certainly be going back for the autum term.

I didn’t know what to expect when I joined the class but I very soon felt at ease. It felt really welcoming and there was no expectation of prior skill or knowledge. Heather and Ruth are a great double act with Heather doing the teaching and Ruth the organising (and providing the tea and biscuits!). It’s good to use the different types of media which are all provided and I think under Heather’s tuition everybody produces some artwork they can be proud of. Heather and Ruth always find something positive to say and the group are very positive about each other’s work. It’s a lovely 3 hours every week!

Good tuition and friendly inclusive atmosphere. Enjoyed art at school and haven't done any for many years. Doesn't matter about level of ability Seasons art class has good easy to follow lessons and is a good way to reconnect with like minded people. I attended winter session in Liverpool and signed up again for the spring session.

This is my second term in Allerton art class Liverpool. Ruth and Heather make you feel so welcome and everything is explained throughly and advice given for different perspectives . I’ve missed a couple of classes for personal issues and Ruth makes sure I do not miss out. Would thoughly recommend and I’m signing up for next term

The Seasons Art class is one of the highlights of the week - a well structured course with nice people, talented and supportive tuition, and first rate materials. The weekly 3 hour sessions always race by!

This is my third year at Seasons Art Class in Waltham Abbey. Since the first term, I have loved every week. I have learnt so much ( after not really doing any art work since school 50 years ago). We have covered so many different styles using different medium . I have produced many pieces I didn’t ever think I could achieve with the help of our fabulous tutors . Also, I have met some very special , lovely friends at the classes who I can honestly say have given me a new lease of life and a lot of laughter. We also socialise at art and historical exhibitions and evenings out too. I hope and look forward to many more years learning with Seasons Art Classes .
