Outstanding Experience with Thermahome

From start to finish, Thermahome were extremely professional and supportive throughout the entire process of installing our solar panels. As someone who had very little knowledge or experience with solar energy, they provided all the information I needed in a clear and reassuring way.

Every question I had was answered quickly and thoroughly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them. The way they explained everything made the decision easy and gave me complete confidence in moving forward.

Knowing that the solar panel system could be installed and would help reduce our yearly costs made the whole process even more worthwhile. Everything Thermahome did was carried out to a very high standard, and their customer service was exceptional from day one.

They are a company I would highly recommend, and as I’ve said, they supported me with every single question I had along the way.

Our consultation with Brian was brilliant, no hard sell whatsoever, really down to earth and very informative.

We were called the next day to book our installation in for the following Thursday. Scaffolders arrived on Wednesday, as we were informed and were very friendly and polite and erected the scaffolding quickly. Installation took place yesterday and the engineers all arrived on time and were very professional. Installation was completed to a very high standard. Very tidy job.

Overall support has been excellent and I can’t fault Thermohome in any way at all.

Excellent all round service. The initial consultation was overly ambitious as to how many panels would fit my roof and even after the survey I lost 2 further panels but the addition of a larger battery has enabled me to get the best system I can fit. Installation was delayed to suit our availability and then overran by a day. All was completed to a high standard with the exception of a battery which turned out to be faulty. This was replaced promptly and the system now works well. Overall the support has been excellent.

Multiple telephone calls to confirm a free assessment appointment (where they insisted my husband attended - is this 1920?) Had to block their number after cancelling, because they continued to call. I fully expect them to turn up in person at the previously arranged time, to apply pressure. Do not engage. Hard sell = no sale!
Update - thankfully nobody turned up, but 3 phone calls to confirm the appointment, plus one after cancelling the whole thing, is far too many. It’s not ‘a call to confirm the appointment’ at that point.

It’s a real shame to have to leave a negative review, but after weeks of no contact I feel I’ve been left with no choice. While the equipment itself seems fine, my experience with Thermohome has been very disappointing.

The surveyor who came out was pleasant, but misinformed me that the works wouldn’t affect my new build warranty. I’ve since discovered this is not the case—my roof, loft, and electrics are now excluded from warranty.

We had also agreed for the battery to be installed at the back of the house, but while I was away on holiday, the installer advised my mum (who was providing access) that it should go in the attic. Because there was no key for the attic, they forced the loft hatch open, leaving it dented and damaged, surely if something is locked with no key, you would revert back to the safer, less damaging option. To make matters worse, they left packaging and rubbish in my loft instead of clearing up.

Communication has since been poor. Everyone was quick to respond while I was paying, but once I raised concerns—such as damage to the external brickwork—I received no reply. When trying to set up my system to import and export along side my Octopus tariff, I discovered I didn’t have manager access to my own system. I contacted the manager listed on the Sunsync app and was informed he no longer works for Thermohome, so I was told to contact Pete. Pete was abruptly and dismissive, telling me I was “probably wrong” and that he’d get someone to call me if I explained it all via WhatsApp. I did this on 29/08 and I am still waiting. I also emailed and phoned customer care, but they stopped replying as well.

In the end, I had to go direct to Sunsync for help. For all Thermohome knows, I could still be sitting here unable to use my solar panels efficiently because nobody got back to me. That doesn’t give me much confidence should any future issues arise.

After paying just under £10,000, I feel like Thermohome’s promises of excellent service have amounted to nothing. The sales team are pushy, the scaffolders and installers were careless and caused damage, and the directors I’ve dealt with have been unhelpful and dismissive. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Very helpful, quick and tidy install and Darren was not just helpful in getting all the info required in an understandable way but also checked back after to ensure all was well, even while he was on holiday.

Harrison was brilliant with the appointment for solar fitting, explained everything very well, excellent , very happy with everything.

I never really considered getting solar panels before, but that completely changed after speaking with Harrison from Thermohome. Their solar panel designs are the most aesthetically pleasing I've seen-they blend perfectly with the look of our home. Harrison was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, walking us through the benefits, He clearly explained how the system works and showed us how much we could actually save on our energy bills. We're already seeing a noticeable difference in our monthly costs. I'm so glad we made the switch, and I highly recommend both ThermoHome and Harrison if you're curious about solar!

Aggressive sales tactics by sales personnel. "Sign the contract now or lose the discount and face long fitting times".
Solar companies mostly offer a
Comparing and debating, it was a terrible deal offered for what a roof can offer in terms of energy outcome. Again, with sales tactics, they would take advantage of people who may not have the depth of understanding in the solar market or the chance to compare.

Top quality products, efficient, polite and helpful installers. Not everything went according to plan, but the after sales service were brilliant and sorted everything out to my satisfaction.
