Records to your door.
Well first time I've subbed to this over a year but gotta say things have improved tremendously. Admittedly there wasn't much to my tastes from a musical stand point, but then that's part of what having a mystery box is all about. For the price I paid this was good value and was fun to unbox. Packaging was excellent and everything was wither new or in great condition. I got my first sub within days of ordering and too about a week. Correspondence can take a few days but Peter is extremely helpful with his responses. Looking forward to seeing what next month brings.
Still waiting for my refund!
First couple of boxes great, included things like ac/dc, eurythmics, u2. A great way to build my collection and add some classic albums to it. Then I feel once they’d started to get my money they stopped caring about what was being sent. I started to receive albums that were clearly someone’s unwanted tat that they’d been struggling to get rid of. Things like Hipsway (?!) a Broadway show called “pump boys and the dinettes” and a saxophone album by someone called Tommy Smith. Not to diss these artists but these were clearly bottom of the bargain bin items. After my first two boxes, I didn’t receive another record that was worth the money (and I do mean this, I added up price on discogs) so cancelled my subscription. I’d like to add this was after contacting the retro to tell them i was unhappy with my boxes. They agreed that the items I was being sent were strange based on my genre selections and promised an improvement which never came so I cancelled my subscription.
Then the following month I was charged for my subscription that had been cancelled. I informed the retro of this 20 days ago and am still waiting for my refund. It’s not good enough!
Really wanted to love this service but until things massively improve I suggest you avoid!!
Brilliant subscription
It was a lovely surprise to receive my package.
They got the music choices just right. Two of the artist I hadn’t heard of but the music is great so thank you for broadening my music collection!

Got my first box
Got my first box, and was delighted with all three records. I like the idea of not knowing what's in the package and to be honest only one would I've picked up myself so I would've missed out on the other two.

No response…..
The service is good up until you have a problem. No response via email. Responded back on social media Initially then nothing. Still waiting for a refund after two weeks for a subscription I cancelled.

Vinyl Monthly Subscription
I have received 2 shipments from The Retro Store team and both have been excellent. The packaging was great protecting the Vinyl's and it was a great surprise to see the selection inside no disappointments at all. Having the option to select your preferred Genre is great, keep up the good work guys. looking forward to Augusts offering.

Poor customer service
Poor customer service, and not responsive to my emails requesting to cancel subscription (because the button through website isn't working). They continued to bill me and sent out another box.
I also received a duplicate vinyl in one box that I was sent from the previous months box!
Wouldn't recommend.

Best gift I have had in ages!
I was bought a 3 month subscription to The Retro's cassette club as a gift and loved it so much I carried on the subscription myself. It's the perfect way to try out new music from the genres you love, and makes you listen to albums in their entirety. I would highly recommend this to any music lovers!

Perfect Gift Idea
Brilliant idea, great for gifts for friends and family who love comic, vinyls and all sorts. They are also really accommodating, got in touch with them to ask a few questions and for help and they were amazing. They offer one off buys as well so if you wanted a simple gift you can do that instead of a subscription. Cant wait to give them to my friend.

Seriously, do not even bother
Thought I’d give these guys a go as I am a heavy vinyl enthusiast and wanted to increase my collection with regular additions. I signed on to the yearly subscription in January expecting to receive 3 good vinyl albums each month fitting within the genres I selected that were somewhat worth the value I paid for on my subscription. What came on almost each delivery were most composed of ‘greatest hits’ and not even really fitting within the genres of music I chose. On one occasion one of the vinyls was warped as well and when promised a replacement I didn’t receive it until after the following months delivery - also another non chosen genre type vinyl. After now having had 4 months worth of experience I requested a refunded via email at the start of May, which still hasn’t been provided - it is now 4th of June. My advice would be to steer clear of these guys who are clearly too understaffed to properly provide good customer service and responses within even a weeks time. They do not provide the value of what you’re paying for it, stick to buying what you know you’re getting.
