A proper little gem right on my doorstep.

We won a night's stay at the Lamb Inn in at a charity event auction in May 2026 (they had kindly donated a night's stay for 2). We live in Congleton so it was unusual to stay in a b&b in my home town and we weren't sure what to expect.

Suffice to say it was of the best places we've stayed at in a long time.

Jan and Guy were perfect hosts, the room was excellent, bed very comfortable and it had a beautful modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of lovely touches to make you feel at home and lots of attention to detail with Lamb themed mugs, coasters and even toilet roll stickers 😄.

Breakfast was also a highlight with a range of hot and cold food options sourced locally. The full English was delicious.

Absolutely lovely find. The hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Every little attention to detail had been thought of (including additional black facecloths for make-up removal). The quality of all things (bedding, tea/coffee/biscuits, shampoo/conditioner/body wash etc). was very high. The breakfast was immense and excellent. They even lent me hair straighteners, when I had forgotten mine. Would highly recommend! ❤️
