Old stock sent
I purchased a fragrence from this shop . The manufacturing date was 04/2022. Expiry 04/2027.
I emailed them that I was not happy about receiving old stock that only had one more years usage . I asked if we could reach an amicable agreement to resolve this .
I also sent them a picture of the box with the relevant dates printed on it
The reply I received stated nothing would be done as it was within the usable date range . No apology for sending old almost expired stock out .
This was my first purchase from them. It will also be my last .
They have contacted me to change my review a few times. I'm unwilling to do this as it is a 100% honest review.
Whilst I applaud their charitable work. They have mentioned this a few times to me in emails and on here . They are running a business. I am a customer who made a complaint. So I don't see any relevance in them mentioning their charitable work. I worked for forty years in large charitable organisations. But it has no relevance to my complaint. If their concerned then I'm happy for them to donate the cost of my item to a charitable cause . This for me, has never been about the money . But about the principle.

We have replied directly to the customer on two occasions to address the concerns raised.
In our initial response, we explained that the fragrance supplied has a manufacturing date of 04/2022 and an expiry date of 04/2027. As this falls well within the manufacturer’s stated shelf life, the product is fully in date, compliant, and suitable for use. For this reason, we advised that we were unable to offer a refund or replacement.
We followed up with a second email to further acknowledge the customer’s disappointment. We apologised for the frustration caused and clarified that, as retailers rather than manufacturers, we do not control specific batch allocations. We also explained that expiry dates on fragrances are often regulatory guidelines and, when stored correctly, perfumes typically remain wearable and maintain quality for years within (and sometimes beyond) the printed date.
Additionally, as all proceeds from The Islam Shop Ltd go towards charitable causes and our team consists of volunteers, we are unfortunately unable to offer discretionary discounts or refunds where a product remains fully in date and compliant.
While we understand that not every purchase will meet personal expectations, we also recognise that in rare cases some customers may seek goodwill gestures or discounts despite products being fully compliant and usable. We operate transparently and consistently in line with our policies to ensure fairness to all customers.
We have not asked for the removal of this review and have remained polite and professional throughout our correspondence. We stand by our service and the integrity of our business.

Extremely Concerned about the sale of a Shahadah Flag
This is a revised version of my previous review, which was unfortunately removed. I feel compelled to clarify my position in full to avoid any misunderstanding.
I first came across this site in 2017 and was deeply disturbed to find they were selling a Black and White Shahadah flag. The Shahadah, when presented in this particular form, is closely associated with extremist ideologies and jihadism, movements that have caused tremendous harm and violence worldwide. The sale of such a flag is highly irresponsible and troubling. It suggests a lack of awareness or concern for the pain and suffering caused by these movements.
In response to my original review, I received several claims that I feel need addressing:
Confusion with a Rival Store: I was accused of confusing this website with a competitor, "The Islamic Shop". However, this is not the case. The accusation seems to deflect responsibility and shift blame to another store, which I find unprofessional and misleading. Even if there were a mix-up (which there wasn’t), there’s no need to bring up other business.
Concern about Timing: I was asked why I’m raising this issue now, given that my concern dates back to 2017. It's important to note that this website didn’t have a Trustpilot page in 2017, which is why I am bringing it up now. Regardless of when the review is posted, the sale of this flag is a problematic issue that transcends time and should be addressed.
Clarification on Religious Violence: I understand that the response emphasized that no religion inherently promotes violence. My intention is not to criticize any religious beliefs, but rather to express my anger regarding the sale of a symbol directly tied to jihadism. Regardless of its broader historical context, the association with extremism is significant enough that such a product should not be sold.
Providing Evidence: To support my claims, I have used an archived version of the website from the Wayback Machine (Internet Archive), which clearly shows an image of a Black and Silver Shahadah product from April 10, 2017. I distinctly remember it being marketed as a Black and White Shahadah flag. If you would like to view the evidence, please visit Imgur and type "/user/Smoova" after the Imgur URL (as trustpilot do not allow URL's in reviews). The evidence screenshot is on my profile named Smoova.
My pressing questions are:
Why was the Black and Silver Shahadah product specifically marketed as a Shahadah item on your website, considering the controversial associations this symbol carries?
Why was the Black and Silver Shahadah product listed in a way that could easily confuse it with a flag, given the clear design and size typically associated with flags?
Can you provide any details about the product’s origins and the context in which it was designed and sold, given that it does not appear to be a traditional Saudi Arabian flag for example?
In conclusion, my primary concern is the sale of a product that is closely associated with extremist ideologies. I urge the business to take responsibility for the potential harm they may cause.

Cancelled my order
Placed an order. A couple of days later I got an email saying it was out of stock and they had refunded me. It will take 5-7 days to get the refund. The item is still listed on their website. I can't trust that they even have the items they advertise for sale so I do not recommend buying from them.

Highly disappointed
Highly disappointed. I ordered an item and the wrong item was sent out. After emailing, they insisted the correct item would be sent out. This was in November and it is January now. I emailed them to ask where the item is and no one has bothered to email back.
Just really disappointing.

A Nightmare Experience
I would write my experience of buying a Quran from Islam shop.
On 16th December 2023 I bought a lafzi tarjuma Quran in Urdu from Islam shop online.paid by debit card.
On 17th was informed order recieved
On 18th recieved a msg it will be dispatched.this in response to my email.
On 20th dec recieved a msg it has been dispatched.arrive in 3to 5 days
Finally arrived on 23rd dec and to my surprise a completely different item Quran was dispatched.after numerous emails they still did not answer whether they have in stock the Quran ordered.
The different item was returned
It took me all the afford and hassle and time to repack and reach the EVRI a days job.
Finally after they received it they acknowledged that the required Quran was not in stock
Why is it still on the website and giving customers misleading information and wasting the time and money of a professional doctor like myself.
Takes ages and ages to respond no empathy.
All I can say is What a Nightmare Experience
