I suppose I did all the work. I filled out an online form then provided my credit card. The real test will be what happens if I have to file a claim.

My experience was good
My experience was good. All three people helped me. Customers service skills are very high. Nice to talk to friendly staff and not a voice AI generated. Whilst I cancelled before start date I received my money into my account. I also received confirmation in the post

Poor Customer Service Experience
Car insurance taken out recently through Money Supermarket, which made an assumption on the market value of my (recently purchased) vehicle with nowhere to correct this. Contacted The Green Insurer, who told me that there would be an additional premium to increase it. I raised a complaint, as I would not have taken out the policy at the increased price, I was asked to provide screen shots from Money Supermarket to prove I was unable to correct the value, which I did, they admitted there is an issue, but would not waive the fee which I think is poor customer service. It was cheaper to pay the additional fee than pay the cancellation fee and go elsewhere so I had no choice but to pay it, but this is a poor first impression of the company. It's a shame, as the staff have otherwise been really friendly and have tried to help as much as possible.

Hi Vicki. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience. I’m sorry that you have found it so frustrating. When you buy a policy through a price comparison site, we take the information that you input and that they assume to provide the quote. Once you click through from them to our website, you are shown the information and can amend anything that is not right. Unfortunately, we don’t have any control over Moneysupermarket’s quote engine, but we do give you the option to review and amend anything that isn’t right before you take out the policy. As an insurance broker, once you buy your policy, we set an insurance contract in place with an insurance company (the most competitive one on our panel) and you agree to the contract with us. Any changes to your cover from thereon in, will most likely result in a change to your premium, which the insurer decides. We did contact the insurer in your case to ask them to make a free change for you, but they declined. We also contacted Moneysupermarket to make them aware of the issue you encountered, but they too believe that they had done nothing wrong.
My advice to anyone is to check your information carefully before you take out your insurance contact, as changes after you buy are likely to result in a change to your premium.
I do hope that your experience with us will be happier for the rest of your policy and please do contact us if there is anything we can do to help.
