Information harvesting
They took my first d/d then 2 weeks later, asked for copies of all drivers license , front back , v5 copy every page , proof of address ( utility bill) ncd proof , my license check from online . Never been asked for this in 35 years . Don’t know why other than harvesting personal information . This should have been asked for before the quote , now I’m being charged almost half the initial premium to cancel . Now taken a d/d “AFTER THEY CANCELLED” the insurance .also now an additional charge of 35 pounds from the finance company( covea) 90 pounds of charges NOW! , and they cancelled . Not me . Now today , I have received another late fee charge of 25 pounds from close brothers finance on direct debit because I cancelled the direct debit to protect my account from them taking a direct debit whilst my complaint was looked at . Green insurers instructed
Close brother brothers finance too late and this is why I incurred an additional 25 pounds late fee on top of the failed direct debit attempt

I can reassure you that we were not trying to harvest any information from you and the information requested was solely for the purpose of validating this policy. There are some rare occasions when our insurers ask us to get more information from customers. This is usually when the information provided does not stack up or doesn't match other data that they hold. It is in your own interest to ensure that we have an accurate policy record, as without this there can be problems in the event of a claim.
I hope all this makes sense? It is really important to provide correct information on an insurance quote, as by pricing each policy on the basis of correct information, we are able to keep prices as low as possible for everyone.

Easy to follow but the only issue was the price was more on the website compared to the comparison site even though I bought this insurance via the comparison site

Hi Jayna and thank you for taking the time to leave your review. When you get a quote on a comparison site, the price is guaranteed for 30 days, so long as you do not make any changes to your quote. The reason for this is that if changes are made, then the quote will be re-run against the prices for the date when the changes were made. As insurance prices change all the time, it is best to take the time to get everything as you want it to start with rather than altering quotes afterwards. I hope this explanation helps. Very happy with this company
This company came up on an Internet search when I was looking for learner driver insurance for my son. The website forms were quick and easy to complete. The price was reasonable for a month’s insurance. I made a mistake with my son’s email address and I had to ring them the next day. The gentleman was really polite and helpful and sorted it out straight away. My son downloaded the app and all his documents were on there. Easy to use and understand. Happy customer.
