Horrible!! I (thought) I was purchasing a physical book and received nothing. No where during my purchase was I advised I was purchasing a digital book and not a real book. In fact, in the company’s FAQ section, they deny that they sell ebooks. I emailed them and they said it was an ebook and I told them there was no link to download and ebook that I was asked for my address to have ship. First and only time I’ll deal with this fraud company. Notifying PayPal of the fraudulent transaction

Bait and switch, thought I was getting a paperback they sent a download link for a fricken PDF file. There goes my $10

I purchased a book from them as a Christmas gift for someone around Thanksgiving. I waited aa few weeks and I received nothing. I contacted Customer Service and they replied back saying it was an "e-book." I checked their website's "About us" page and checked the product's listing page and not one thing mentions "e-book."

I reached out to them again with screenshots showing what I found and they said they will not issue a refund despite their misleading website.

They don't say that it's an eBook, but then refuse a refund when you don't want it. Avoid them.

Same experience as everyone else... NOWHERE did it say I was buying an ebook.
Call be oldfashioned, I like the feel of an actual book. Why would I want to read a book on my phone?

This is a scam!!DON’T BUY FROM HERE. FRAUDULENT!! SCAMMERS Fraudulent company. They send ebooks even though their website states they are physical books and they do not sell ebooks. They have refused to send a refund for a book that I ordered and never received.

Fraud. No product delivered. And their name is an attempt to cleverly announce it ‘thedomcheck’ = ‘the dumb check.’ Do NOT send them any money. They ought to be criminally convicted of financial fraud.

If I could give zero stars I would! Wish I would have read reviews before ordering. Like others, thought I was purchasing a hardcover book but when did not receive, I reached out only to be told I purchased an ebook. I reached out again wanting a refund (never downloaded the ebook - need the physical book) and was told again that I purchased an ebook. When I argued that their website states they only sell physical books not ebooks and that I wanted a refund, I was ignored. Now they will not respond to me at all.

I ordered a book from Moonbokers and was told shipping was free and it would be received in 7 to 10 days.
When I had not received it in that specified amount of time my request from the library had been fulfilled, so that was the book i read. I got in touch with customer service. He said it was an eBook and a link had been sent in my original confirmation. I do not do eBooks, and nowhere in the ad for the book did it state that it was an eBook. Why would I have to wait 7 to 10 days and why would shipping be even mentioned as being free if it was an e book? Since I had not downloaded the book I asked for a refund which of course was denied.
Rechecking the website there was still no mention that it was an eBook. Rechecking my original confirmation there was a link which said download your order. I had taken that to mean just the confirmation, so had never clicked on it and just waited for it to be shipped.

Wow. I’m glad I found this site before I placed an order. I actually live in San Diego (where the business is supposedly located) and thought that I might try to actually go to the store. When you googled the location, it just looks like an apartment building; there is clearly no bookstore there. I wish companies like this didn’t take advantage of people because all it does is turn us back to Amazon. *sigh*

Thought I was buying a hardcover book and instead it was a digital book which was not indicated anywhere I was shopping. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. THEY ALSO REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND EVEN THOUGH I NEVER DOWNLOADED THE BOOK. I wish I had reviewed them before I gave them my money.

They are also going by Moonbokers. DO NOT buy from this "business". It's a scam.

Yet another person duped into believing I was purchasing a real book. It may be legal but it is certainly unethical.

I thought i was buying a physical book. Received the email with a download code. Immediately emailed the customer service. Their customer service Refund policy clearly states that Refunds are possible. The customer service address is:

I have never got my book, was in January

Sent ebook when it was clearly advertised as a hardcover book

As in the above review, I,too, was duped into believing this was a hard copy of a book, with no other indications.

Scam and fraud. Been waiting since book was ordered 2/19/25 to receive. Finally investigated and see I am not the only one duped!
