Okonomiyaki recipe was really delicious, very good quality ingredients, in a good state when arrived, clear instructions, delicious meal

Have used Cookaway a few times now and cannot fault the food we are able to produce using the delivered ingredients.
The experience is targeted more to the cooking and creation aspect (compared to, say, reheating/replating of other businesses). I'd suggest the timings are a little out for inexperienced home cooks and so give yourself a little longer :)
There is a slight restriction to the menu choices but (for now at least) better to do something well than have a lot of things done badly!!

The ingredients arrived right on time. They were beautifully packed and very fresh. I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. The two of us shared a wonderful meal and we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to cook something different. Cookaway gave me confidence.

This has been a gift for my Husband for his birthday and we have loved making them together and the food is absolutely delicious.

The ingredients are authentic and often ones we haven't used before. They come in recyclable packaging and are clearly labelled.

Recipes are simple to follow and the schedule is great to show when you should start doing each section.

Love the addition of the Spotify playlist to accompany the dish and I find the notes about the chef really interesting.

I had the Greek CookAway box and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The ingredients arrived super fresh, beautifully packaged, and clearly labeled, which made following the recipe really easy, even for someone who’s not a confident cook!

The dish itself tasted amazing. Portions were generous, and the instructions were clear and well thought out. It felt like a real treat but still had that homemade feel.

Yes, it’s a bit pricier than your average meal kit, but for a special night in or a dinner party, it’s 100% worth it.

As a busy mum of two, cooking can feel like a hassle — especially with new recipes. The Cookaway made it so easy! We tried the Vegan Spanish Paella kit and loved it. Everything was delivered to our door: fresh ingredients, spices, and a simple recipe card. It felt like a mini restaurant experience at home, with zero stress or mess. Highly recommend!

Loved my box! It was really simple to follow, and I love the little touches like the Spotify playlist and an introduction to the Chef. I got to create the chicken katsu curry, and it looked and tasted delicious. I would definitely order from them again to explore more of their cuisines.

We are regular users of recipe boxes and were really impressed with the Cookaway box and experience. The quality of the ingredients delivered was top notch and absolutely everything required was delivered down to oils and seasonings. Instructions were plentiful and clear, and the addition of access to an accompanying music playlist was a fun plus! Food was delicious when complete
Great idea for a special night in or dinner party

My boyfriend loves cooking so this was the perfect at-home date night experience. We ordered the Malaysian Chicken rendang and it was amazing!! The experience from start to finish was great. Easy to follow recipe cards and fresh, delicious ingredients. Highly recommend.

Our son-in-law loves cooking. It is his relaxation after a very busy, stressful day’s/week’s work.
Therefore we decided to give him a Cookaway meal for his birthday. We chose the Greek as something perhaps a little different.
He was delighted with it. He said the ingredients were beautifully packed and presented. He enjoyed the whole process and was clearly delighted with the end result. The portions were sufficient that with some extra (homemade!) flatbreads, all four (parents and two boys) had a delicious meal. We added a packet of mixed baklava, etc to finish.
Our daughter said with the addition of the suggested Greek music, his birthday ended with a lovely evening of celebration.

We were given a Cookaway voucher as a Christmas present and we chose the Greek Lamb Kleftico for a treat at Easter, intending to have it on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, DPD did not deliver Easter Saturday and the food must be eaten within 48 hours so we switched the meal to Good Friday. We were very impressed with the quality of the lamb and the generous portions. The website said serves 2-3 and we did, indeed, have one portion of the vegetables left over (which we ate next day) - there would have been one portion of the lamb over too but our dog was happy to step up to the plate and eat that 🤣. I think I would prefer slightly smaller portions at a reduced price but accept that the size of people's appetites varies. Hubby and I spent a happy hour preparing the food between us. We have previously had cook your own meals from Angela Hartnett and Simon Rogan, which were all great, but you get individual recipes for each item and have to merge the preparation and cooking times yourself. So we were very impressed that Cookaway provided separate recipes for each item but also an overall timetable and schedule to successfully allow us to merge the complete meal into one seamless cooking experience. Unfortunately, I am unable to eat spicy food so that limits my choice of Cookaway meals considerably. Perhaps Cookaway could consider adding a few more non-spicy dishes? I would love to see some French and Italian cuisine.

We had a fantastic night with our first Cookaway box.

Inside our box we found a cooking guide with detailed instructions, fresh high quality ingredients, & even a Spanish playlist QR code which was fab, it really added to the afternoons mood while we cooked.

When the meal was finally set it looked incredible, and the taste; delicious & authentic.

We’ll definitely be trying Cookaway again.

We tried the Spanish Kits and it’s absolutely amazing. The quality of the ingredients, packaging and instructions made it so easy to follow. I love the fact that they sent us complete ingredients. Will definitely try the other cuisines from different countries. This is a great way to cook at home especially if you have guests to impress.

Lots of information provided, and all ingredients given - super tasty too - a dish I wouldn't have usually tried before so that was exciting.

I just wish there were more vegan options!
