Thames Gas Heating Electrical Ltd recently installed a Vaillant heat pump at our property, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.
I found the company through Heat Geek, which is widely regarded as a leading authority on heat pump technology. From the outset, the process was straightforward and professional. They visited our home to carry out a heat loss calculation — using the latest scanning technology, this was completed quickly and efficiently. Within a few days, I received a quotation that was considerably lower than I had anticipated, and I was also able to take advantage of the £7,500 government grant, making the investment even more accessible.
Heat Geek coordinated the ordering of all materials and the heat pump itself, with everything delivered directly to our property on the day of installation. They also provided all the necessary paperwork to obtain installation approval, which made the administrative side of things simple.
The installation was carried out by Thames Gas Heating Electrical Ltd to an excellent standard. Michael was outstanding throughout — always responsive and approachable whenever I had a question or concern. His team were considerate and careful, keeping all work areas covered and tidy. We were genuinely impressed with the quality of their workmanship.
As for the results — it has been a complete game changer. Our home spans three floors, and we had always struggled to heat the lower level adequately. That is no longer an issue; the room is now consistently comfortable. The radiators run at a lower temperature than with our old gas boiler, but they remain on for longer periods, creating a much more even and pleasant warmth throughout the house.
Perhaps the greatest benefit is the peace of mind. With our previous gas boiler, we had to remember to manually manage the heating and hot water, especially when leaving the house. Now, everything takes care of itself — one less thing to think about.

I have had an issue with leaking pipe and lack of hot water as result. Michael looked and it and found an issue straight away. Then his team arrived a couple of days later and fix the issue. Great communication, honest pricing and really nice engineers. Highly recommended.

i found Michael and his team to be very professional and very efficient arrived smack on time i was given. Nothing was to much bother and cleaned up after they had finished. 2 days after install of new boiler had a small problem phoned Michael and he came straight round. there was no problem it was me pushing the wrong button. definitely 5 star.

The quote was very prompt and information transparent from the start. It was good to have a written statement of procedure and what was included in the service. Very good service

We recently had Michael out to give us a quote for a new boiler as our old one was 15 years old, he arrived on time supplied us with a quote which was very reasonable and within a week Michael arrived and fitted our new boiler. He made sure he’s work area was clean and tidy and we was happy with everything before he left, I would highly recommend if your looking for a gas engineer that you give this company a call, you will not be disappointed with the quality of work they provide.

We had an excellent experience with this company. We wanted a single air conditioning unit installed in our bedroom for summer and were considering the national installer BOXT but thought we would check out local options as well. Very glad we did as Thames Gas were priced more competitively and the quote/order process was extremely efficient (I was even able to pay with AMEX for no extra charge which I prefer to a bank transfer for added peace of mind). We are so pleased with the result we will be ordering an additional installation for our lounge. Highly recommended.
