I received my sofa set well before two…

I received my sofa set well before two weeks, i love my choice, series six armchair and two seater sofa,
It is a very comfortable set, i love it,
It looks very smart in my living room,
I believe I made the best choice,
The suite is very smart to look at,
Very comfortable
I love the headrest ,,, it reclines to suit your needs,
It’s excellent quality
The material is beautiful,
The recliners give a smooth silent movement,
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a suite
The company kept in touch with me throughout the process,
The delivery was on point,
They gave a two hour time slot but they arrived on the very first time, they were polite, they demonstreated
The movements they removed all packaging and disposed of the boxes,
All in all I am very happy, very satisfied, we love it

Faulty sofa & zero support – Avoid Tech Sofa

Bought the top-of-the-range S8 corner sofa in Oct 2024 with a 5-year warranty. Within a year, the heating mats failed. Tech Sofa fixed it once as it was under their 1 year warranty… then it failed AGAIN in Nov 2025.
Since then, it’s been a nightmare.

Castelan (warranty provider) cannot get replacement parts from Tech Sofa, despite chasing for 6 months and getting little to no response ("Regrettably we have been unable to source the part needed to resolve your claim, we have been in contact with the retailer and have received minimal responses). Now my claim is being closed with a credit note because Tech Sofa simply won’t cooperate or supply parts
So I’ve ended up with:

A faulty £3,800+ sofa
Repeated defects
No repairs because parts can’t be sourced
Completely wasted time and stress

Tech Sofa’s aftercare is non-existent once you’re out of the first year.

If you buy from them, don’t expect support when things go wrong.

Tech Sofa – I even wrote to you about the parts but you never got back to me. Avoid!

Product good

Product looks good but delivery was delayed and hassles sorting this with the delivery company direct not the Sofa company itself. Once it did arrive the delivery guys were cheery and helpful.

Tech sofa.com should you buy from them?! 🤔

So let me start by saying that the people that work in customer services at this company are amazing.

But...

I've had engineers out for this "smart tech sofa" to my house 9 times, in 3 years. Within a year so many things went wrong that in the end they just replaced the entire sofa for brand new one, thinking mine must have been a dud!

Since then...
1st
Mechanism, broken and bent twice! I've had recliner from DFS for 10 years never it bent, and so did my parents. Never a problem in over a decade.

Its like its made from aluminium.

2nd
Both heated elements in the 'smart heated seats' died within a year. But by the way replaced within 4 week.

3rd
The main motor for the seat just burnt out and "BANGED" and the whole motor needed replacement.

4th and please listen to this. The centre console cup units, are not water proof. So when I get a cold drink in a glass, place it in the holder and use the actually built in drink cooler (which is just a very loud fan) the condensation drips down into the controls and your seat suddenly had a mind of its own! Going in and out randomly. They were replaced. Started working correctly, but as soon as I put a put a glass in the holder with condensation, it happened again!

So so listen now, I put my glass on the windowsill cause of the condensation issue. Can't use the incredibly noisy fan that is the drink cooler. Also seat heaters don't work. One of the mechanisms has snapped at the joints, been replaced and then died again. My parents electric recliner from DFS has never had an issue in over 10 years.

Its just silly! There's nothing about this sofa is premium. Its just Chinese, regurgitated crap. Even the center console hasn't been screwed in straight! Lol.

But the best bit, is the 5 year warranty. Yep you might have one, but you'll be waiting 2 years for a resolution to your simple problem. I reported the failed heated seats and the broken mechanism, which began in April 2025.

Yeah we're in May 2026 and after about 20 emails and probably double the calls (by the way customer services go home at 3pm), I got a box arrived today with the parts (also promised about 5 times. Stayed in all day twice last week. Nothing).

Well its gonna get fixed. 3 years of constant issues, failures, unfulfilled promises, and just waiting with a broken product that was only a year old.

Its getting sold straight away.

So if you're interested, it cost me £1699.99. Its now gonna be brand spanking new again. I half considered keeping it, but I'm gonna go for a simple normal, well made sofa, that won't go wrong.

DFS basically! Lol

Let me know, because its up for sale and hardly used.

Have I sold it to you?! Lol

In all honesty is impressed everyone that's sat on it.

Its actually amazingly comfortable. And when the tech things work, they work perfectly! Everyone I showed it to was massively impressed.

So my conclusion. They've bought a contract with a Chinese manufacturer, and although it works, and is initially impressive, its not built of the materials that products from DFS are. And I've now had2nof them and they just cannot last any where near the 5 year warranty they provide.

However, as an addendum to my conclusion. They're warranty has always followed through, although sometimes very long, still did. And their customer services staff especially the manager Carrie, are polite, professional and a delight. Would you have this with DFS, I'm gonna say maybe.

If you're going to buy a tech sofa, there are more and more and more things to go wrong. Its like buying a modern Ford Mondeo, against an 80'a Ford Capri. The more tech, the more there is to go wrong!

One last thing to consider. When I bought from Tech Sofa, they were owned by one company and 3 years later another company has bought them out. Service has gone down and the whole sofa range that I actually bought which was a flagship range, has now disappeared.

None of the new range have heated seated seats. Lol. But that's fine, try something and if it doesn't work dump it. Did they still support their existing customers and warranty?!....yes they bloody did!

So, can I hate them? I've given them a lot of lenience. The great and personal customer service has helped. However over the last 12-18 months, strangely when the original Tech Sofa got bought....

It got shit.

Sorry. I wanted to love them. I'm a massive nerd a tech geek, I thought I was buying the best of the best...but I wasn't.

Awful experience.

Update- I sent an email to TechSofa 6 days ago with pictures of the damage to my rug. Asking about there compensation policy. - No response.
They’ve asked for more details even though I’ve spoken to them multiple times.
And they’re claiming this review is for a different company.

Initial delivery from ASB delivery was the wrong sofa. 2 days later the correct sofa was delivered but it was faulty, someone had dropped it and the recliner mechanism did not work properly and it chewed the rug up underneath which which now has a hole in it.
This was 8th April, on a Weds late afternoon. I emailed TechSofa on the Weds to complain and sent photos and videos of the faulty sofa.
Thursday afternoon I still had heard nothing, so I rang them. They had not seen my email or the delivery companies feedback. Person said they would refund delivery charge and actioned broken sofa to be collected and get a new one delivered.
Friday, delivery company sent a whatsapp with wrong supplier name and postcode notifying me delivery was scheduled for the Monday. I said I wasn’t available. I asked for a delivery on Thursday or Friday.
On the Saturday they said they would reschedule and confirm.
It’s now Thursday and I’ve heard nothing since, I’ve whatsapped them, left a voicemail and tried ringing 3 times.
Went back to TechSofa, who said they would contact them, but had still heard nothing. I told TechSofa I wanted the sofa collected and cancel the order. I was told that was counter productive! They had no concept of the frustration and inconvenience at all. Their communication was appalling with me constantly having to chase things up.

Got a call on the Friday 17th from ASB delivery company saying they could pick up Sat afternoon. Which was not convenient as I was out, the next date they could give me where I was also available was 30th April. They sent me an email to confirm.
So I‘be had a broken sofa in the middle of my lounge for 3 weeks.
On the 30th, I’d received no further contact from ASB so I called to confirm when the sofa was being collected.i was told an afternoon collection after 12pm.
I got a call at 5.40pm saying the collection would be at 8.10pm, having rearranged my day to be in. But was for out in the evening.
Then got a call rearranging for Fri 1st. Between 2pm and 6pm.
Needless to say it’s now 7pm and the sofa is still in my lounge.
This whole reverence has been appalling and us still not over
Lack of communication , empathy and efficiency my TechSofa.
Same with ASB deliveries.

Outstanding sofa

Well I ordered the 3 seat and arm chair series 8 sofa. On the 22/04 and I couldn't believe it but it was delivered 6 days later. Super fast service the sofa itself is absolutely fabulous top notch it just looks premium it was a tiny bit bigger than expected but that was a good thing. The heated seats, electric recliner and electric head rest are absolutely amazing. And the 4d surround sound speakers built into the sofa are way better than I thought.They would be. All in all i am super impressed with the sofa.Probably the best one i've ever had. My only negative thing would be.The delivery men didn't really have a lot of knowledge on the sofa 😕 but all in all, I would definitely recommend this company.Especially for the price

Issue with Sofa and no response from TechSofa

I have been trying to contact Tech Sofa since March this year as the heating seat on my Series 8 2 Seater Sofa with centre console stopped working on 1 of the chairs and on the other chair the recliner for the legs part is not fully going back in flush with the sofa so it is sticking out.

Id like to know what can be done to fix these issues or if nothing can be done for the sofa can be fully returned and i can be refunded what i have paid so far towards the sofa cost. I am still paying for this sofa and it is still on warranty.

Ive filled in the online forms and had no response, sent messages on whatsapp and theyve been read but not replied, ive tried to call multiple times and been waiting over an hour and no answer.

5 years on, going strong!

So been meaning to post for a while. 5 years on and still so pleased with our Vinson sofas. Still look great, comfortable and fully working. Only very slight wear on one seat from my husband. But otherwise fab sofas that are used daily. Would definitely recommend.

*Update now they want to talk, when they already have my number.... ASK CARRIE, I SPK TO HER ON A WEEKLY BASIS ... PLS CALL ME!!!
Ordered sofas in December 2025, delivery day, only 1 arrived! Then second one arrived, a few days later (once I called them). My hall table damaged on delivery, but they didn't want to know. Two seater stopped working immediately, we are now entering May and on, hopefully, the FOURTH attempt to fix it, if the part ever arrives. I spend most weeks phoning, and chasing up, these repairs. I have asked for replacement, only to be told they are not in till July... then oh no we won't be getting these in! Do yourself a favour..... AVOID!!!!

Warning - don't buy from Tech Sofa

Edit 2: the final rejection letter has not been responded to and still no communication. Final notice before legal action has been sent signed for delivery day.

Edit: neither of the two numbers I provided have had a missed call and when I tried to ring back I waited 24 minutes with no answer. The final rejection letter has been sent signed for and received so I would expect a reply to this, in writing, by the end of this week.

Ordered a large series 8 corner sofa and it was built in November 2024. In the same month the wireless charger stopped working. Since then we have had nothing but problems. Heated seats stopped heating, recliner frame fell apart at the foot and the list continues.

An engineer came out and couldn't fix it. No communication from Tech Sofa to update me. I asked for an update. Nothing. I have WhatsApp'd and a lady that replies to these reviews WAS replying and agreed to swap for either the same or a different model. Then communication stopped. Another collegue then reached out by email and phoned that night as promised. He advised me that the series 8 has been discontinued so it was agreed we would swap for a series 5. It wasnt in stock but he would let me know in a couple of days when it was expected. I thought I was getting somewhere. Of course, I had to reach out again and was told expected March. I looked online and it said June. So I asked the question - should we expect delivery in June.

I have had no response since February and have tried multiple emails which have gone unanswered and the same with phone calls.

Now, tonight the control panel has stopped working and the sofa reclined and went down of it's own accord, so that has had to be unplugged.

We have send a final notice letter recorded delivery and as the deadline looms we have not had a reply.

As a tip for those buying or thinking of buying, don't. If the usual person replies to this review saying they've asked for more information it's a lie. They have all the information and they definitely don't reach out!

Save yourselves some time and stress and order an expensive sofa from elsewhere.
