I was told I was going to be getting a better deal than if I'd worked with a broker, which might be true, but I would have preferred to have been connected through a broker that might have given me a mover with better service.

It was clever as hell that they'd set up as a villain who they're better than, because it means no matter how bad the service was, I could imagine it being worse.

Weeks without an update that I didn't initiate, an extra 500 dollar charge at the end because Sunstate apparently didn't see the fact that my apartment was in a complex despite the fact that my new address was the very first thing I gave them when we started doing business (but no there was no way to adequately prepare themselves or me for this last shuttle charge) and several of my objects came in broken and busted.

The fact that they had the gall to mention they take tips when I was getting my stuff packed up the first time infuriates me. Genuinely- avoid at all costs. They squeezed me for a pretty penny but at least it's the last one. Don't let them do the same.

I recently moved from locally and used Sunstate Moving Company. They were great.
I got a lot of calls from movers, but then I spoke with Kym. She talks a lot, but in a good way, and she set everything up for me with a very good team.
David and Alex did the move. They were on time, careful with my things, and made the move easy and stress-free.
She even helped me move my mom’s car from Chicago to California. Kym is a real treasure, and I’m keeping her number for anything I ever need to move.

SunState Moving Company made what could have been a stressful day completely smooth. The crew showed up on time, professional and ready to work. Of course, it started pouring rain halfway through the move — but they didn't miss a beat. They wrapped everything in heavy blankets and plastic wrap, covered my furniture, and made sure not a single item got wet. I was amazed at how prepared they were for it.
Everything arrived at the new house in perfect condition — not a scratch, not a dent. The whole team had great attitudes from start to finish, and the pricing was fair and transparent with no surprises.
If you want a moving company that's efficient, careful, and ready for anything — SunState is the one to call. I won't use anyone else.

Guys were great, professional, helpful beyond expectations, thank god they gave pallet jack, we managed to fit all my belongings in to storage unit.
