Fraud company
They have suspended our Stripe account without giving any clarification, just said that it has risk associated.
On top of that they have been holding our funds from last 3.5 months without any reason.
We have already provided services to our client and our client is happy. But neither Stripe is paying that money to us nor refunding to the client.
Looks like they have found a good way to scam money from businesses.
I will give you the concrete explanation of these thieves.
They removed my review here on trustpilot and I had to prove that I am telling the truth! that I am real, verified profile and all, and I had to send screenshots of Stripe emails, invoices, etc, as to legitimize what I say.
I had been working with Stripe for several years (for the only good things they have, they have a lot of payment systems, and there is less denial in terms of conversions) but they are THIEVES!!! to their face, and I will explain it as accurately as possible.
You open an account, you start accepting payments, after a few transactions, you have 99% that they will block your account (of course high risk)
your money will be held for more than 120 days and you will be lucky to get it, whatever the amount is, in case they refund the money to the customer, they refund you the full amount butooo.... Stripe keeps their commission, so your account goes negative and you owe Stripe money.
You write to Stripe support, many times they tell you that they will refund the customer after 5 days (they don't), other times you just wait for them to answer and they don't, other times you feel like a machine is writing to you because it's the same answer over and over again.
Conclusion: you only have to sue them, and thousands and thousands of people do not do it because of the money it takes to sue them, because of the time, psychological wear, etc in order to make a claim, and to have a minimum of security that you will be able to get a miserable amount at the end for taking them to justice.
Stripe is a payment gateway like Paypal that abuses the power of their customers, they keep 90% of the money of their customers, and only favor the big companies, those who do generate millions of euros, not us that even if you make 40 thousand a month which was my case, that's not money for them ....

Warning. Do not sign up to any service via Stripe
Do not sign up to any service with recurring payment, monthly or similar via Stripe. The merchant can block the cancellation and charge you as long as your card is valid. There is no support from Stripe or a way to block the automatic payment via Stripe. In Paypal you van manage you subscriptions so that is way more secure for the customer

They will close your account and hold your money without any warning or hesitation. They will cause disturbance on your business without your knowledge. Stripe in my case with my company the situation it’s the same, you decide to stocked 5000 aud from 22 of march 2024, I sent several email almost 20, and always receive the same answer “Sorry but it’s a final decision” and from a year we never have noone dispute 😖 at the end explain in many emails that money it’s for our students you understand that they need to pay their school otherwise they can get their Enrolment and that’s mean their status visa it’s in dangerous?? Looks like you don’t care, just stocked the funds and you don’t give us a justified reason.

At the moment I told them, that’s ok don’t returned my account but make a Reimbursing customers directly to the cards they used, we need to pay their fees and we will look for other mechanisms, but give them their money back, it doesn't cost you 5 minutes for a person to do several clicks and that's it! and your responses are still automatic and there is no solution!

Holding 2000£ from 11th April and not responding to any emails , no reply at all from any form of communication. They decided to close account on stripe long time ago, not refunding any money they ate holding and not even releasing to any accounts. First email they mentioned they will revert whole amount to the original payment method it was paid on 22nd April, today 26th april, still no update, no refund ,and stopped replying to any emails. Avoid this company at all cost if you dont want your customers money stucked with them.. there are lot of better options for payment methods than this

Worst experience ever, I am sending them emails from past 4 days , and not a single reply, and there is no other way to contact them… they are holding 2000£ which they are not refunding to customer nor they are releasing payment to me. I will need to write reviews everyday about this until they clear my account by refunding whole amount as they are not replying to emails and no communications at all. This is 3rd review I am writing for the same thing as this is the only thing they care about …. And I will need to post 100s of review for this until they give me refund .

I had high hopes for using Stripe based on their reputation, but my experience has been nothing short of distressing.

No reply from customer service team after holding 5k pounds in the stripe.
They decided to close account on 17th April and in the first email it was mentioned that customers will be getting refunded on 22nd April, but no reply from past 2 days from customer service, no refunds has been made to customers, I am not able to access any of the funds stuck in the stripe account. Not getting any reply from their emails now, seems nobody cares in this company about their customers. It's not small amount, its 5000 pounds they are holding and not refunding to anyone for more than a week they are still holding it. Worst payment system to use it. Avoid it at all costs.

Stripe then closed the account down and the money apparently was reissued to the customer. The customer says they have not received the money and my son now is out of pocket. They have no proper contact and god knows where the money is now. I have had to lend mys son the money because he was relying on the money from stripe. Je partage également ma mauvaise expérience avec Stripe, qui semble avoir mis en place une stratégie pour retenir l'argent des clients et des vendeurs utilisant leur plateforme. Parallèlement, ils informent le vendeur que le client n'a pas donné son consentement pour ce paiement et leur promettent un remboursement, tandis que l'argent demeure retenu par Stripe. Je vous adresse cette communication en tant que mesure finale avant de procéder à des actions plus conséquentes, suite à la rétention prolongée et, selon moi, infondée de fonds sur mon compte Stripe (référence acct_1MinYxBVRXJkH7JG). Après une période de quatre mois pendant laquelle ces fonds ont été injustement immobilisés, et au cours de laquelle seulement deux litiges ont été soulevés et résolus, je me vois confronté à une situation où Stripe continue de retenir mes fonds sans aucune raison valable.
Il est inadmissible que, après une période amplement suffisante pour identifier et résoudre tout litige potentiel, Stripe choisisse de se prévaloir de son paragraphe 5.6 pour s'approprier des fonds qui me reviennent légitimement. Cette démarche s'apparente à un acte de vol, privant mon entreprise de ressources nécessaires à son fonctionnement et à sa croissance.
Je suis particulièrement indigné par la qualité du service client qui, par ses réponses automatisées, fait preuve d'un désintérêt flagrant pour les problématiques sérieuses de ses clients. Il est évident que le support, en se cachant derrière des réponses formatées et impersonnelles, ne manifeste aucune intention réelle de résoudre les problèmes présentés.
À moins d'un réexamen sérieux et d'une libération immédiate de mes fonds, je me verrai obligé d'entreprendre les actions suivantes sans plus attendre :
Consultation Juridique : Mon avocat spécialisé est prêt à évaluer toutes les démarches légales nécessaires pour assurer la restitution de mes fonds.
Communication Publique : Je m'apprête à divulguer mon expérience sur les réseaux sociaux et autres plateformes professionnelles, dénonçant ainsi les risques inhérents à l'utilisation de vos services.
Mobilisation Collective : Une coordination avec d'autres clients lésés par des pratiques similaires est en cours pour envisager une action collective.
J'insiste pour une réponse personnalisée qui témoigne d'une réelle prise en charge de mon cas et non d'un simple traitement automatique qui, jusqu'à présent, ne fait qu'illustrer un manque de considération pour les conséquences graves que de telles pratiques imposent aux entreprises de vos clients.

Absolutely shocked by their false payment / pay-out terms and inability to resolve this and to add to this, they dictate to you your ability to receive your payments. Making their customers wait 7 days for the money that belongs to them. This is false advertising at the highest level. You cannot communicate that your first payment takes 7 days and then there after your payments will take 3 days and not stick to that term and when contact about a payment not being made on those terms, telling your customer that there is nothing that can be done and the payment terms change only once your account is reviewed which is poor customer practice! Any business these days relies on customers paying their invoices timeously so that they can pay their suppliers, but not STRIPE - They keep your money and decide when to pay you out............... Thereby reducing a companies ability to operate efficiently.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO ASSIST WITH PAYMENTS Rather go with a trusted, truthful Financial institution that does not mislead you!

They have withheld my money for four months now one minute they promise to pay me my money on a certain next minute my bank account is suspended (never was and no changes have been made to my bank account) then told me to update details and I will get my pay out in 48 hours and yet to receive nothing I called the company and was promised to get a call back. It's been an absolute nightmare imagine a business not paying them their fees!
