I love getting my duvets cleaned by Stony dry cleaners the service is great and they are fantastic at ironing too.

Extremely disappointed and upset. Bought in two Indian bridesmaid dresses, and asked whether they could be cleaned. I was told yes, and was not told that there was a risk of damage, otherwise I would not have dropped them in. I went back two weeks later to pick them up, both dresses had lots of the gems missing. I was told that if sequins or gems were glued on that they might have come off in the wash. When I complained to the ladies behind the counter they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them and said 'well sari's are very difficult to clean', huffed and tutted and accepted no responsibility or apology for the damage. I felt singled out due to the ethnic differences in my clothing and made to feel stupid and small for initially raising the complaint.

When I refused to pay for one of the dresses I was told the manager was on holiday and would call me when he came back at the end of the week. He didn't call me back, and when I called to ask the same lady on the phone was quite dismissive, saying 'he's obviously been busy'. Again I was made to feel like a huge inconvenience and I felt disrespected.
When I did receive a call, I still did not get an apology for the ruined dress. I was told that different 'cultural clothes' usually have labels and the cleaning instructions are followed using google translate. Mine 'didn't have a label' so washed normally, despite being delicate and having sequins and gems. I can now not wear the dress, it was unique, very expensive and has a lot of sentimental value and is now ruined. Awful service.

It was nice to have a place that pickups and delivers for a reasonable cost. I have troubles getting around so I will be using them going forward.

Ruined my rug. They took forever to give me the rug back after cleaning. When I finally got it back - it was destroyed, colours ruined and falling apart. I complained and tried to resolve and they never got back to me. Actually shameful business practices, wish I’d never ever contacted them.
