Had a great day competing at the viking games. Bamburgh castle being the perfect venue for the competition. Also competing with a brilliant group of people. I would recommend giving this competition a try.

Why would you swing a kettle bell when you can swing an axe?? Steel viking is a great fitness experience, with a historical slant and something very different from the usual boot camps on offer.
Always a fantastic atmosphere and instructor knows how to adapt the exercises to different abilities. You leave with a smile on your face and the glory of the gods in your heart!

Steel Viking is a really fun and exciting way to get fit! The exercises feel epic when you’re doing them, and hit muscles I didn’t even know I had. It’s also a great opportunity to get out any pent up aggression - when else would you get to think about that person who pissed you off that week and swing an axe with full strength?!

Excellent fitness class with a historical twist. As a competitive fencer still on the regional circuit (and a history teacher), this has been a perfect group for me to attend. Overall fitness/strength has quickly improved and feel ready for the new fencing season. The whole group is very friendly and the ‘alehouse mindset’ sessions after each class have seen some very good health advice passed on, in addition to creating bonds between the group. Definitely worth a try if there’s one in your area!
