Delicious and easy to order!
It was really easy to order the cake I wanted. Unfortunately it arrived a little later than we wanted it to, but that was because I ordered it last minute.
However, we were able to freeze it and are enjoying it now. Thank you for making my husband's birthday extra speacial. Delicious chocolate caramel fudge!

Tremendously delicious cake!
Tremendously delicious cake, wanted to find a gluten free cake for my Mum's birthday so that I could also have a piece, all 3 layers and the caramel within were delicious and made my Mum's day. Highly recommend Sponge for a lovely cake within a day from ordering to receiving. Cake was very well packaged, no misshaping with the cake at all unless the cutting knife came out!

Bought as a gift. Delivered on time.
The person I bought it for has coeliac disease and really enjoyed the gluten free cakes and appreciated that there was no risk of cross contamination given it is prepared separately.
Love the addition of being able to send a video with the cake in the post!

Fresh cake and card in one!
Cake arrived on the correct day although on delivery the box was left outside in the rain which was frustrating as I was at home.
Cake was lovely and fresh and I would recommend the touch with the photograph added to the box- would use again.

Delicious cakes as always
Sponge is my go-to place for the most delicious cakes ever! With the variety of flavours and themes available, there is always a cake to suit the occasion and the option of having additional ads ons like balloons and candles is very helpful. The option of a next day delivery is useful, although I haven't used it because some delivery companies aren't very reliable; my orders go through on Amazon so I always order cakes 2-3 days in advance to make sure that they are here on time.
Beautifully packaged - cakes arrived in perfect condition. Slight delay in delivery of my last order which confirmed Sponge's recommendation that you order 2 days in advance of required delivery/required date. Worth every penny as cakes are deep and so scrummy 😋😋

I orderd a gluten free lemon drizzle cake for my friends 60th birthday celebration ,as it was a last minute at my house , I was really impressed that sponge did a next day delivery which I payed extra for , the cake did not turn up the next day it turned up the following day so I had to go and buy a cake at 6pm as I tracked it and realised it was not coming ,I emailed and phoned the delivery company saying I do t want the cake now as I was going away the next day and wouldn’t be there the celebration was the day before , sponge informed me I would have to have the cake and would not be able to get a refund they said it states in small print it can take longer what is the point in advertising next day delivery for an extra charge if orderd nefore 2pm ,i orderd at 10am ,if you can not deliver I said they should say next day delivery if your lucky fingers crossed ,I think this is very misleading I got no refund and couldn’t comment if the cake was nice as was away for a week will be back today but the cake will have been sat in my garden now for a week so I won’t be eating it very disappointed customer

We are so sorry to hear that your order was delayed in transit and that you were left feeling disappointed following your experience with us.
We completely understand how disappointing it is when your order arrives later than requested, especially in this case, where you had arranged the cake for a specific celebration and were then due to be away from home.
Unfortunately, once a delivery is in transit our team are no longer able to intercept or amend the delivery. Customers can usually provide further instructions to the chosen courier via the tracking link, such as nominating a safe place or designated neighbour to accept the order where required, though I appreciate that in your circumstances that you are still may miss out on the opportunity to enjoy your order due to being away.
We do advise via a pop-up at checkout that, wherever possible, customers should allow additional time for their order to arrive to help avoid any inconvenience caused by unforeseen delivery delays and that orders may arrive any time between 8am - 8pm. We do appreciate, however, that this does not make the situation any less frustrating, particularly when you have paid additionally for a Next Day Service.
We genuinely value your feedback regarding the wording around our delivery options and will ensure your comments are passed on to the relevant team for consideration.
Once again, we are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and for the disappointment caused.
