I’ve been considering solar/battery installation for some time and I wanted a local company to complete the installation. I asked for a quote from Solar Star at the beginning of 2024 just to get an approximate cost but at that time I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger. Mark attended and was very knowledgeable. There was no hard sell just the facts and the science. I told him that it would probably be towards the end of the year that I’d be ready. I was provided with a quote within 24 hours and was asked to let them know when I was ready to go ahead. I received no chasing phone calls or chasing email communication which is unusual in this day and age. I booked in the installation for 9th October this year and the Solar Star team arrived at 8:30am and got to work straight away regardless of the inclement weather. They worked until the job was done which consisted of 14 solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery. The job was completed in 1 day although they had allowed 2 days. They were polite, neat and tidy, took the rubbish away and swept up. I couldn’t ask for any better service. The price for the installation was very competitive compared with Octopus Energy. Thoroughly recommend them.

Great local, trustworthy solar company. I've had 2 systems from Solar Star Power in 18 months as I moved house since my first installation. Both times the installation has been great from start to finish. Great advice (that saved us money) from Dave about the type of installation that was possible. The installation, both times, was super neat and the installers are both friendly, super tidy and know a lot about their products. Both times the guys installing the electrics took me through all the hardware and software in great detail (I'm a bit of a geek!). You can tell that you're dealing with a small, local company. Everybody knows everybody else, they keep you well informed as to installation dates. The second installation I had the panels were up 2 weeks after the site visit! Great stuff.

I first contacted Emily over 12 months ago trying to decide if solar energy would actually have any benefit, I'm glad I did. They have stuck with me and iterated the design several times and even argued with the electricity supplier over how much I should be allowed to export. Having finally settled on a system, the team fitted the panels and completed the electrical work in a professional and tidy way and always wanted to make sure the details were dealt with including hiding cables as best as possible.
Very pleased with the system and its cost benefits and would recommend them to others.

from the day I spoke to David at the staffordshire show until the day the panels were installed and started working everything went extremely well. things have got even better since then. i have been getting £50 a month from my energy supplier, I can see that they work well even on dull days. this is a thoroughly professional company.

I wanted to mention the little details that made a world of difference for me, I am a wheelchair user and without asking they recognised that the units being put in the loft would be pointless as I would not be able to access them,ever!
So the kind electricians set it all up in my garage Instead, so neatly and professionally done.
This is a level of service I have yet to see elsewhere, making accommodations without making a fuss, making an issue and keeping me independent.

Would not hesitate to recommend this company. From site visit to quotation and the install itself, all very prompt and delivery schedule as stated. Communication throughout the process was spot on and nothing seemed to be too much of a problem for them. Installation team got on with it and left the site virtually spotless.

Solar Star Power provided an excellent service from start to finish - from drawing up the specification to the completed installation. All members of the team were courteous, helpful and professional. The solar panels, battery and EV charger along with the necessary cabling and components were installed in less than a day and we are extremely pleased with the results and how the system works to reduce our impact on the environment as well as save money!

We have had a very good experience with Solar Star. The whole process was quick and efficient. We had our 9 solar panels, Solar iBoost water heater and myenergi EV charger installed about 18 months ago.
The solar panels have generated approximately 4,300 kWh of electricity - which is around a £1,300 saving.
When we're not using the generated electric to run the house, the dishwasher, tumble drier and washing machine, the excess is being used to heat the water or is exported to the grid - which we get paid for.
During the summer months, we also charge the car with solar generated electric.
