After 14 years working in a dark kitchen my husband fitted a solarspot daylight system. i now keep thinking i have left a light on, the kitchen is now bathed in sunshine. the company were brilliant on the phone very helpful and extremley polite. my husband fitted the system himself, i was a little worried at 75 being on the roof but he made fitting it look easy. we are just so impressed with it and would have no worry about recommending it to anyone who wants more light.

The product and finished job is really good. We just had a few set backs. Make sure you survey the area before starting any work or installation.

The product was just as we wanted gives us all the light needed . The installation was perfect no mess or fuss and both the guys were great.

I do not often respond to requests for a review but in this instance I feel inspired to do so. We are very pleased with the transformation that our D25 has made to our small, dark ensuite shower room.

Chris at Solarspot was exceptionally patient with all my questions and provided some very sound advice. Langley Roofing (the Dorset installers) were swift off the mark and did a good job on the installation especially the clearing up afterwards!

Thanks to Solarspot, Chris really knew his stuff - they were the first company I called ... I then did research and came right back to where I started - great product and installer (Jimmy and his team were fast, polite, and very tidy) made a dark hallway bright.

As part of an extension we lost our natural light from a landing window which is now an internal door. After much research I ordered my tubular daylight system from Solarspot which was installed by their recommended engineer. What can I say, absolutely amazing. It is actually lighter than before and the light filters to the hallway. Would fully recommend this product.

It's not very often I take time to review products, but this product is one which deserves the time to comment. We are renovating and remodeling a bungalow and due to a roof truss being just off centre of our newly created utility, we were not able to fit a conventional velux type roof light. We looked for sun tunnel options and considering that a window based option would not necessarily allow maximum light enter on a north westerly facing roof, we opted for the dome version from SolarSpot. The builder advised we would be wasting money as all sun tunnels he had fitted did not perform well. All I can say is he obviously did not fit SolarSpot sun tunnels. Even on the dullest of days it is bright in our utility and looks like a light has been left on. The ambient light even lights up the bottom end of our hallway. Although too early to comment on long term performance it is an excellent product, easy installation, and I would definitely recommend.

just had our D38 Solarspot fitted and are amazed at the difference it has made to the lighting levels to our upper landing and stairwell. On the day it was fitted it was lovely and sunny but the day after it was overcast and raining but the level of light was still bright, obviously not as bright as the day before but still much better than before the installation.
The installation was carried out by Dermot from Lennox Building Services, Dermot was a gentleman and the work carried out was first class and we would happily recommend his work.
Chris from Solarspot also made the purchase and choice of product very simple and there was no sales pressure, a delight to deal with.
We were also kept up to date with both delivery and installation dates.
In conclusion we are extremely happy with the end results.

The Solarspot system may have some of the best performance ratings in the market today but my recent experience with these products and the support services has been far from ideal. The initial delays were apparently caused by the retirement of our local installer and it wasn't possible to get a home survey done so the supply and installation requirements were handled directly by Syneco.
The supply of the materials is handled by one organisation and the installation service is provided by a separate contractor which adds to the confusion and complications.
After several procurement delays the materials finally arrived followed 3 days later by the fitter who made little progress as the kit was found to be short of sufficient tubing to complete the job. Several discussions then took place to determine how much tubing would be necessary and this involved me in having to do the survey work that should have been done at the outset.
The light tubing and associated fittings are very flimsy and are generally only taped together to provide a minimal amount of structural integrity. Assembling a 3.5 metre pipe length consisting 7 different components with no structural fixings provided or recommended is a real challenge and not for the faint hearted.
In summary, it's a good concept but the tube and fittings are poorly engineered and the lack of affiliated installers to oversee and complete the project work only serves to complicate matters.

The D25 Solarspot arrived all Okay on Tuesday 27th April 2021, the date specified by the company. The courier kept us informed and delivery was within the one hour specified slot.

I have fitted it today (Thursday 29th April 2021) with no problems (apart from my own continued trips up and down ladders because I forgot something or other!!!)



My wife and I are very pleased with the additional light in our once gloomy kitchen. Our kitchen measures 11ft x 12ft.



Prior to fitting the Solarspot D25 we had to switch the spotlights on every time we entered the kitchen as there was very little natural light and what did come through the window was 'borrowed light' as we have a small extension utility room on the kitchen.



Now, with the D25 fitted, the kitchen is far brighter and electric lights will not be needed until the end of the day.

Today's weather here is mixed, sunlight and clouds with occasional rain showers so we've had a chance to see every combination.

Really pleased with the product - it looks great, the installation was quick and professionally done, and we really can't believe the difference it has made to our room. We have to keep checking if the kids have left the light on!!

I am buying items as I go along as I convert an existing flexi tube system. The support from Chris has been amazing. Deliveries are very well organised with a text to confirm delivery slot and they are always there in the allotted hour. The system has been a revelation, it was immediately obvious as we started to put the pieces in that the amount and quality of light was going to be far better.
When the final tube went in it was as if somebody had turned a very bright LED light on; it's even bright on dull days. The existing dome, which we had to leave in situ (and put the Solar spot dome inside) is on the north side of the roof so that demonstrates the effectiveness of the system. It's easy to be sceptical but this is one product that definitely lives up to its promises.

I had been contemplating using a solar tubing system to lighten our long darkish hall for some time and contacted Solarspot for some information. I spoke to Chris several times with questions and measurements, and always found him most helpful and informative, with constructive advise, and nothing was too much trouble. I subsequently placed an order for 2 solarspot systems and had the assurance that Chris was at the end of a phone should I need any help. They are now fitted without any problems and the difference is amazing. I just did not believe they could bring so much light in! The internal diffusers look good on the ceiling and the external domes on the roof are very discrete. Easy to fit and would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely love our new solar spot, it has made such a difference to our dark and gloomy hallway. The hallway has now become a real focal point of our house with all the lovely light that now comes in. We are now excitedly picking paint colours for the finishing touch.

We'd highly recommend Solarspot for their professionalism, especially with our numerous questions before fitting :) Tony our fitter was also excellent, accommodating where he could to suit our needs and always checking that we were happy before proceeding.

We've already recommended to family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. So go for it! You won't be disappointed with the outcome.
