I ordered samples---and received a package with a slip of paper that said the samples are out of stock. Seems like a waste of postage!

Hello Lindley, I am sorry that the samples that you requested were not available. Some of the materials are either on back order or our sample room is waiting for the material to come in so they can hand cut the samples. We do all possible to get the samples sent out as soon as they are available.

Deduction in measurements for shades

I’ve ordered Roman shades in the past and was very happy. I replaced 2 Roman shades since we repainted the room. The new shades are much smaller than the window measurements (shorter and narrower) so that light comes in both the bottom and sides. I ordered blackout shades since I sleep in the day time. I understand a slight decrease in size for fit fit but it was a much larger gap all around. I think the website they take off 1/8” but it was much greater than that. My husband is in construction so our measurements were correct. Very upset after paying $1,000+ for 2 shades that don’t do the job. The shades should be true to the window size.

Ordered a wide (80") Cellular shade…

Ordered a wide (80") Cellular shade with cordless lift. The fit was perfect and installation relatively easy. The shade works perfectly and looks just right in our family room. It arrived sooner than expected.

I'm giving 4 stars only because I did not make a final purchase. My experience with Smith & Noble has been a positive one. My design consultant, Jennifer Oberfoell has been very patient with me and always willing to answer any questions or concerns.

I only reordered to get a replacement…

I only reordered to get a replacement blind for one ruined by dog. Previous customer service was terrible. Paid for expedited shipping, didn’t get it and the manager said “close enough.” Not true when you GM have someone moving in.

Roman shade

The quality of the products is what sets Smith and Noble apart. I've bought blinds, shades in the past and am always very happy with them.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service in acknowledging a product that was installed defective. The installer stated it was the best he could do. So, we are forced to live with a defective product/workmanship as Smith and Noble refused to make it right. I no longer regard Smith and Noble as a worthwhile, righteous company. Sad

The solution that was provided does fall under our Limited Life Time Warranty. This is made available on our web-site and on all orders placed with us. Highly professional

Highly professional! The designer was knowledgeable and helpful did a precise measuring. She continued to follow and support us after we put the order and throughout to process. Customer service representatives were quick to respond and helpful.

You can order yourself, On our Web Site, you can order with a the assistance of an On-Phone Designer, or Video Designer and finally you can order through one of our In-Home Designers who come out, measure and assist you in the privacy of your home. Each customer has a preference and we are ready to work with you to provide the experience you are looking for. There are a few In-Home Designer in your area. If you don't mind, I will ask one of them to reach out to you.

Blinds are the finishing touch!

The blinds came just as ordered. The online instructions were easy to follow and made the installation easier than I expected. I don't have experience in this endeavor so the instructions were perfect! I got ordering and measurement help from Kim Demazeliere who understood my questions and was very helpful in making my final decision. I highly recommend talking to her or an agent for guidance.

Window Coverings

My husband and I recently had a new home built in eastern Idaho, so needed window coverings for many of the rooms. I have ordered from Smith & Noble many times in the past, and love the quality of their products and customer service. I ordered free samples online, and Victoria Lawyer Emmett is the Design Consultant who responded back...I truly hit the jackpot with Victoria. Over numerous phone calls, and with Victoria’s knowledge, expertise and patience, she guided me into selecting curtains and shades that are absolutely perfect...beautiful, functional, and within our budget! Victoria was always easy to contact, and spent as much time as needed answering questions, providing input/suggestions, and putting together/going over numerous quotes. She is very detail oriented, and ensured our order included every specialty item necessary for proper installation/function of our window coverings (not nearly as easy as it sounds). As we are in a very rural location, with no professional installers within a reasonable distance, we did our own measuring and installation, so having Victoria’s guidance from start to finish was extremely helpful. Victoria truly provided exceptional customer service, and is, without a doubt, the Design Consultant I will utilize when I am ready to order additional window coverings.

I ordered samples based on prices…

I ordered samples based on prices quoted on your website. However, prices online are totally deceptive. Actual prices quoted by your representative who came to measure were more than double what was listed online. It is basically bait and switch. I will not do business with this company.

From the samples that you ordered, and the Roman Shade that the designer quoted you with the one of the materials from your sample order, Grade 3, X19696: Vapor/Stone with Priviacy Liner and the Cordless Lft option, The designer's quote is the same as the price on our website when specified in the same manor.
Smith & Noble is transparent with our products and pricing. We would like the opportunity to work with you and ask for the chance to do so.
