A typical bet-and-switch scam do not trust them
All I wanted was an invoice!! Your a joke. Booking.com is a joke and for what just an invoice
What an absolute scam! I paid for my "flights reservations" just to be told "your flights are on hold" and get a call the next day stating i have to pay 3000 if i want to keep the same flights. Then i get told i cant cancel because its nonrefundable. This is highway robery at its finest! Do NOT purchase anything from this "company". What a scam!
I appreciated Robert for handling my reservations, ticket and assisting with the recovery service for the validation of my payment. He made the process simple. I’m very grateful and I give him 5 stars.
However, Isaac who first assisted with the validation of my payment wanted to call my bank, put in my personal access info and say the last 4ssn. I thought and stated, I will not give my personal banking or ssn, even the last 4. He responded with a threat that if I didn’t complete this process he would not process my e-tickets. So, I decided I didn’t need my tickets with this company and he could initiate a refund since my money was already taken from my account. This is a silly unnecessary process, if the money has already been paid. This is a very uncomfortable procedure that should be addressed and reinstated on the condition that the payment doesn’t process, then payment information should be requested.
You may want to readdress this process to improve the customer experience as a win-win and not an annoyance and violation of one’s private information being requested.
Thank you for letting me share my experience.
I booked a flight and got this message: "We are processing your reservation and you will receive your e-ticket confirmation via email shortly." I never did. I got an email that they made repeated attempts to reach me, and cancelled my flight. I had no phone messages from them and the only other email besides booking the flight was cancelling the flight. I called them today when I got the cancellation message and they told me that the fare I got was no longer available and they could get me on the same flight if I pay a lot more money. I asked why my flight was not being honored if there is room on the plane and he said that the fare was gone. I now have to change all my plans. DON'T use this site. It is a scam. I should have known. There are multiple typos on their email correspondence. Why would they put my DOB on my email confirmation? There were clues I did not pick up. Learn from my mistake.
Please do not use this . Is a scam . They confirm a price and then they call you saying the price went up and if
You want to cancel they charge you $125
Same experience. I booked a international ticket and recieved confirmation. They called me within a few hours that my departure was confirmed and but my return was going to be much more expensive. This was nonrefundable except for a $150 fee. Paid with a credit card fortunately. This is a scam.
Trivalgo needs to x them.
I strongly recommend avoiding Skytripfare based on my recent experience.
I booked an international trip through their website and immediately received a booking acknowledgment email. A few hours later, their customer service called and claimed they could only confirm the first flight segment, while the second segment was unavailable.
They then told me that:
I would have to pay an additional about $500 to keep the itinerary, or
Pay a $125 cancellation fee, even though they could not provide the complete trip I booked.
This made no sense to me. I refused to pay any additional fees, contacted American Express, and disputed the transaction.
In my opinion, this was a very misleading and stressful experience. I recommend that anyone considering booking with this company proceed with extreme caution. If you use them, pay with a credit card that offers strong purchase protection and do not agree to unexpected fees over the phone without verifying everything in writing.
I hope sharing my experience helps others avoid the same situation.
They cancelled the last portion of my 3 part international flight, stranding me in Edinburgh. I thought I had a 21 hour layover, showed up for the flight 3 hours early, and was told that the airline couldn't find my booking. After calling sky trip fare, they said logan air cancelled it on their end. After calling logan air, they said sky trip fare cancelled it on their end, the day before the first flight, at midnight. The whole ticket cost me over $1000, with the last flight of the round trip costing about $400 of that total. I had to get alternative transportation, emergency accomodations, and ended up almost $1000 out of pocket because of that denied boarding. Trying to get transcripts of every conversation I've had with sky trip fare and loganair regarding the booking has been like pulling teeth, and I'm going to have to get a lawyer to get my money back.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my experience with booking SKYB14605.
I originally reached an agreement for a specific fare and provided my payment information accordingly. However, Skytripfare failed to honor this agreement and subsequently attempted to renegotiate the price for nearly 25% more than the original quote.
While a secondary, higher amount was eventually agreed upon and charged to my credit card, Skytripfare has once again failed to honor the terms of this renegotiated agreement.
Due to these repeated failures to fulfill the agreed-upon terms, I no longer wish to proceed and expect a full refund immediately.
It's a bait & switch scam.....
I booked 4 flights online, the flights were not confirmed, I then received a call saying that they could confirm 3 passengers only and if I wanted to confirm the 4th passenger the flights would cost only an extra $4,000 Dollars! When I said oh, ok, please cancel, they had the cheek to tell me that I would have to pay a cancellation fee.
Scammers they made me book at unrealistic price then canceled it and asked me to book again and pay extra and new service fee at a higher price.
Grand Total: USD $2983.82 Including all taxes & fees
Note: You may have multiple charges on your bank statement from Royal Jordanian Airlines $2733.86 and Skytripfare LLC for $249.96.
Scam alert. The website advertises unrealistically low prices, but when you try to book, it conveniently throws an error and prompts you to call their customer support. Once connected, they claim the advertised fare is “no longer available” and offer the same flight at a significantly higher price than what was shown online.
A textbook bait-and-switch tactic. Avoid.
Skytripfare used tactic like bait and switch.
When you saw hot sale of roundtrip airfare $737.00 then you get email flight information etc and not assiged your seat yet. I called agent who spoke ENGLISH WITH ACCENT of other country and found out they dont have my $737.00 airfare then offered me different company airline and pumped more $$. I told agent go to hell.
Bought tickets online .then they after few hours later called me try sell me different air tickets told me the one I bought it’s not available with the same price… watch them …
Used FareCompare to search for flight deals and accepted their offer. I called to update some information on one of the passengers so their data would match their passport and the [very rude] agent proceeded to tell me the flights were no longer available and said he could offer me a different booking for nearly $2k above what I originally accepted. He stated I owed a $200 "administrative fee" before I could cancel the booking request, but working for a police department I can smell a scam when I see one, so I canceled my card and moved on.
Scam alert they will show you lower price of ticket when you call them and they will give you higher price .
