I would suggest to avoid them, especially after DoE dropped them as approved supplier. The dashboard where you can access completion certificates has died straight after course has finished.

I first learned about HyperionDev from a friend who spoke highly of it and explained how it helped him secure a job. Based on his recommendation, I applied and enrolled in HyperionDev’s online Software Engineering bootcamp.
The support was fantastic, with mentors responding quickly. Whenever I was stuck on a task, there were multiple ways to get help, including a Discord server where several mentors were always available. I never had to schedule a mentor call, as it wasn’t necessary. The mentors reviewed my submissions and provided feedback the next day, which was impressively fast.
When I needed to extend my bootcamp period, I submitted a query and received a prompt response, guiding me on how and where to pay for the extension. Their quick support was much appreciated. After completing the bootcamp, I received my certificate in a very short time.
The career support was invaluable, providing resources that helped me craft my CV, optimize my LinkedIn profile, build my portfolio, and prepare for interviews. Additionally, the organization posted job boards, making it easier for graduates to find and apply for jobs.
Overall, my experience with HyperionDev was a 10 out of 10! I would highly recommend this organization to anyone interested in the IT field.

I took part in the CoGrammar data science bootcamp that was 'funded' by the Department of Education. The bootcamp does not provide sufficient training or knowledge for you to secure a job. Nothing you couldn't learn for free on Kaggle or other higher quality, open source resources.
I was not able to secure a job within the time frame and it was never made absolutely clear to students that they would be liable to pay a fee of £1245 (rising to full £4950 if not paid sooner) if they failed to meet this. They tried to cover this up in all their emails and never once mentioned the payment in the run up to the deadline. One day weeks after the deadline had passed, they write an email that ends up in your junk folder (in the hopes that you'll miss it so you have to pay more), demanding payment before a given date.
Imagine trying to do better for yourself, choosing to upskill in the hopes for a better future and then being penalised for trying your best without being given a sufficient education to get these jobs. Cogrammar prey on those that fall for the DofE scheme. I believe they are no longer contracted with DofE so hopefully nobody else will experience what me and others have.

Participated in the DFE funded web development bootcamp with CoGrammar which had good content offered by HyperionDev but unrealistic deadlines considering the bootcamp is supposed to be flexible. They require you to get a job which they know most people won’t be able to get after completing the bootcamp so they then try to charge you £4950 because you didn’t get a job, they never mention this throughout your application or bootcamp they just say you won’t get a certificate however Department of education (DFE) skills bootcamps team has sent an email stating “All DfE-funded Skills Bootcamps should be provided free of charge to learners. If your provider requests payment for any element of your Skills Bootcamp, we would advise against making payment.” CoGrammars attempt to gain extra cash and scamming people who are going through career changes is what gives them 1 star which is even more than they should get for being money hungry and using people.

I enrolled in the CoGrammar course, which was supposed to be government-funded. I completed all the lessons with good scores, fulfilled the required hours, updated my CV, and applied for numerous jobs. However, I received no job offers or responses, and now they are demanding I repay £5,000. I find this action outrageous.
Before signing up for the bootcamp, I emailed them specifically about clause 1.26, which states we would need to repay £5,000 under certain circumstances. The representative assured me that they had never enforced this clause in the past, but based on the comments I've seen, that doesn't seem to be the case.
I emailed them multiple times expressing interest in the job opportunities they sent me, but I never received a positive response. Whether I get a job offer is beyond my control.

I recently finished the Cogrammar Skills Bootcamp, which was advertised as being fully funded by the government. However, to my shock, I was contacted by HyperionDev, asking me to pay nearly £5,000 for the course. At no point during the application or registration process was this charge clearly communicated; instead, it was hidden in a lengthy agreement. This lack of transparency feels like a deliberate attempt to conceal the cost. If anyone had known about the risk of such a charge upfront, I doubt they would gamble £5,000 on this bootcamp.
The course content was extremely disappointing—on par with what you’d find in a basic Udemy course and far from enough to secure a job in the industry. Although I did receive a job offer, I haven't recorded it with them, simply due to their terrible support and lack of proper assistance.
Their career coaching was abysmal—more of a joke than any serious guidance. This experience left me feeling completely scammed. If you're considering this program, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere for a more transparent and valuable learning opportunity.

So I participated in one of their “Government funded” bootcamps. The only issue is that its not government funded. See the thing is that the government only pays them if you get a job outcome. But unfortunately their bootcamp is not sufficient to get a job. That means now they want me to pay for the bootcamp. Threatening me with legal actions.

I took this course as it was advertised on the government’s website as a fully funded bootcamp as part of the Department of Education. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to secure a job afterwards and I have now had to repay £1245 - whilst it was my fault for not reading the contract properly, this was such a sneaky clause and I am extremely frustrated by this as the course was by no means to a standard to allow me to obtain a job within 3 months or so. I would definitely not recommend! I hope someone from the Department of Education sees this because CoGrammar are receiving funding by the Government and yet they’re charging students who weren’t able to secure a job.

Watch out for the Astroturfing on here (5* reviews from someone with no prior trustpilot reviews) following complaints that they were charging students for a free, government funded bootcamp.
Don't undertake a Department for Education Skills bootcamp unless you already have a job lined up.
It is NOT suitable if you are already in a career as you will not be able to benefit from many of the entry level roles out there due to being 'too experienced'. If you have a higher degree (e.g. Masters or other professional qualification) you will be ineligible for most government funded Apprenticeship which is much of the job opportunities that are promoted by the company. Please bare this in mind because failure to get a job will result in you being required to pay the tuition fee!
Depending on the job market or your previous experience, you will struggle to find work if you are looking for anything other than the most basic work which is often AI verification and manual data entry jobs for AI development for poorly regarded firms that scrape personal data and don't pay. Much of this work will not utilise many of the skills that you have learnt on this course.
I have spoken to several friends and colleagues who work in web and data roles who would not employ for many of their entry roles based upon knowledge gained from these bootcamps.
I was advertised this course as an opportunity to upskill for a career change from another skilled profession, but the content of this bootcamp is pretty shallow on completion and not enough to meet the requirements of many entry level Data and Machine learning roles.
1. The curriculum content was not provided with much detail before signing up and there was not much in the way of communication about what would be covered by the programme before it commenced
2. Many of the lectures, whilst interesting was mostly reading from slides with minimal opportunities to really go into depth about the code. The tasks themselves required little more than following instructions provided on the help documents and following through with tutorials.
3. Whilst the careers team were relatively pleasant, I was given conflicting information regarding CV writing and ultimately this service focuses on using LinkedIn as the one of the only source for finding jobs. Information was geared towards people from possibly low skilled or non-professional roles and the support for people transitioning from more senior roles in other fields was severely limited.
I will not go as far as to say that their bootcamps are a scam, but they are very shallow in the content that they provide and they seem geared towards students filling low skilled, data entry work rather than meaningful roles that would support professional development.

I believe the government's initiative to fund the Bootcamps is brilliant. But, Bootcamps such as CoGrammer could be considered a sort of fraud. Probably, the management should explain the huge gulf in communication with prospective candidates.
I have completed a skill assessment for a period of over three weeks without a response from a member of the team to update me on the outcome of my assessments.
Perhaps, I have severally attempted to call the support team but all to no avail. I have attempted up to five times but, no response. On every occasion I have attempted to speak I was transferred by the support staffs to the CoGrammar department and I have never had the privilege to talk a member of staff.
I want to believe this program is non functional and operational. The company should give up her license and get involved in some other activities rather than falsely raising the hopes of people.

Hi,
Thanks for the swift response.
How do I get in touch with a dedicated member of staff. In your response you have not provided an information such as an email or phone number with a referral specific to my review.
Come on CoGrammer. I believe the management team can do things differently and better.
It is disheartening to continually read negative responses all over the internet where there are only a handful of positive reviews could be highlighted about your company.
Please, remember knowledge is power!
Thanks.

Enrolled in a full stack web development bootcamp, the curriculum was comprehensive, covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, git, GitHub and MERN Stack. Instructors were supportive, projects were practical, fostering collaboration with peers, and job assistance services were effective, ultimately aiding in securing a position in the field. Highly recommend for those pursuing a career in web development.

When I was learning on another online interactive platform I believed I could learn coding as the teaching method was practical. Learning with CoGrammar is making me loose all the belief I had. Content is thrown at you with no practical projects being shown. Then they brag about the support team but when I asked for help they told me to watch the lectures....thanks! I've already done that and they're not helpful. Then on the mentor calls they just "guide you". Might as well call it a guidance call. google -"The definition of mentoring is when someone shares their knowledge, skills, and experience with another person to help them to progress." It's proving a very overwhelming and discouraging experience and I don't wish this to anyone.

These people are unprofessional and hokey. They recently rebranded as CoGrammar due to the many poor reviews about them all over the internet. (They were previously called HyperionDev.) They have a load of misleading web addresses and adverts where they misleadingly brand themselves as various universities. They are based in Cape Town and just try to cash in on the DfE bootcamp scheme. Run for the hills!
