I give them 4 stars because many of the stores I shop are no longer on the list.
Also being retired and my only income being SS the cost is monthly isbarely being covered by what I get back from my purchases.
They ae very good about payout though so that is a plus.

Too hard to work with concerning cash back questions. Don’t pay attention to what I send them.

Generally your customer service is not responsive. The call center you use are not ShopSmarter employees and many times have to take time to familiarize themselves with your program. I have asked for a replacement check for a staledated check and to this day, like 3 months ago, have not received it. I have enjoyed my membership but I am frustrated with the lack of accuracy and responsiveness.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this one really bothered me.

About 2 years ago, my wife used ShopSmarter once when checking out on Macy’s, just to get a small cashback (around $10). We thought it was a one-time thing and didn’t pay much attention after that.

What we didn’t realize at all was that this signed her up for a monthly subscription.

They’ve been charging us about $16 every month since then, and we never used the service again. Because the charge is relatively small, it didn’t stand out right away, so it went unnoticed for a long time (nearly 2 years).

That’s the frustrating part — the signup was not clear. It did not feel like we were agreeing to an ongoing paid membership. It felt like a simple cashback offer tied to that purchase. Finding out later that it turned into a recurring charge without us knowingly opting in is honestly very disappointing.

If you ever see a ShopSmarter offer during checkout, I’d strongly suggest skipping it or reading every detail very carefully. What looks like a small reward can quietly turn into a monthly charge.

I do not want to give even one star to this website. I have been trying for 3-4 years to join, but, it has no options for sign up. Not sure, why it has no option for new users....

Great experience, would like more stores on the website but overall, I am very pleased.

ShopSmarter gives rebates on purchases from a large selection of well-known stores that can be shopped online. There is no mystery; the rebate is always 10% whether purchasing clothing or appliances.

I love shopsmarter! Really good reward for simply going through their website!

Ease of use, and lots of stores.

The program is easy to use and very responsive if I have an issue. I like the promptness of the payout and being able to see what is being paid. The only thing I wish, if I am at the store and I go through shopsmarter, you should still get a credit...even if it is not the full 10%. Sometimes you need things on an instances, but you miss out. Other than this, I like the program.
