My story is a bit different than most. I’m in the media. Traditional media of radio and TV – that’s right, real broadcast TV and radio. Our online social media presence is reasonable and all organic but far from ‘huge.’ Our YT presence is weak because we never focused on it. Maybe once every couple of months we’d post something with little to no views thinking YT was a waste of time. Here’s where things change. Someone rear ended me in a car accident. I had bleeding in the brain and lost a lot of brain cells. I have 4 neurologists doing what they could for me and after a year I forced myself to go back to work full time. One of the doctors suggested I do something I’m not good at, something that would challenge my brain to work parts that I haven’t tapped into before. I’m not certain how Shane Hummus’ course landed on my computer but it did. It didn’t take me long to schedule an onboarding call. There wasn’t a hard sales pitch but instead an explanation of the process which was the key to sign up.

Since taking the course, I confidently can say it has challenged me to the good. I’ve never been busier writing scripts, filming, editing, making thumbnails, coming up with descriptions and all the elements needed to increase views. I still do most of what I do old school using my noggin. AI is tempting but it won’t stimulate my creative juices when it does all the work. Today, instead of getting one view that my mom found accidently I’ve had slow, steady growth with nearly 35K views for one of them. I still struggle from the brain trauma but this course is definitely helping me heal. And, if I get more subscribers, more views and monetary compensation follows for my efforts that’s the best part of my healing process.

Bottom line? Take the course. All of the instructors are pro’s in their field and they are there to help you succeed. And, in my case…heal.

The Content Growth Engine was chock full of information and ideas to help get my YouTube channel off the ground. I especially appreciated the videos, the coaches, and the other students. They were always so kind, helpful, and willing to give constructive criticism. The best coaches I liked very much were Adrian, who answered my call late in the evening and kindly walked me through a solution to whatever difficulty I was having at the time. I think Jimmy should also be commended for hand-holding me as I put my YouTube videos together. He was happy to walk with me step-by-step when I needed it.

I’ve been a lifelong course taker, and I can honestly say the amount of information Shane Hummus has put into Content Growth Engine is fantastic.
You can see the depth of his background and the level of detail he brings into the YouTube process. From the strategy, to the documents behind every video, to the amount of data and structure provided, the course itself was worth the price of admission.

I had the opportunity to work with Tina, and she was excellent. Her level of expertise is very apparent. Her communication style is clear, direct, and easy to understand. She is not afraid to give her honest perspective, cut to the chase, and help you see what matters most.
She is efficient, effective, high caliber, and brings great energy to the process.
Overall, Content Growth Engine has been a very valuable experience, and I highly recommend it.

I am completely new to the social media world. I didn't know about thumbnails, which way to video or anything. CGE is helping me with those things and so much more. I didn't realize how tech savvy one has to be to create an online business but CGE is showing me the way.

I do recommend this course if you are looking for accountability and structure when trying to launch a successful YouTube business. Before joining the program, I was stuck trying to start my business. A lot of analysis paralysis and just not posting. Coach Jimmy and Shane challenged me to post my first videos, but the coaches also gave me ideas to start my new business. I was able to launch a high ticket service and now have steady income.

I knew that I needed to create content for my new business, but I had no idea where to start. Honestly, I was afraid to put myself out there because I had no idea what I was doing. I decided to hire CGE, and I was assigned to Jimmy as my coach. So far, they've helped me get started and think about it as a business owner with a channel as opposed to trying to be an 'influencer.' I'm only a couple of weeks in, and so far have about 50K views, so it's a start! For next steps, we are refining my content and focusing on driving sales to my business.

This program offers a combination of training, coaching support, and a collaborative online community. All are geared toward supporting you in creating, building, and managing a successful YouTube business. I got stuck while forming the framework for my channel, and the program led me through steps to hone my idea. I think the coaches have seen enough ideas and worked with enough people to have the tools to help you get clarity.

Before joining in November 2025, I had the ideas but no clear strategy for growth. Shane’s team helped me simplify everything with direct guidance and practical systems that made content creation more intentional and effective. Since then, I’ve grown by 9,000+ subscribers and reached YouTube Partner status by January.

I had started a couple of channels - and had even done a different YouTube course - and still felt lost. There’s so much information out there… Shane’s course cuts right to the meat of it. I’ve been able to get several videos up on a brand new channel, get hundreds of views already, and the best part is, I know what my next steps are. On top of everything, this has been the most engaged community and cadre of any course I’ve taken. I can't recommend them enough!

This program is specifically helping me fast track the understanding of the psychology behind Youtube, the business model, algorithm, and specifically understand why people go to YouTube as a resource. This understanding is allowing me to streamline my process as I build my channel from scratch. I would not recommend building a channel with out this program.
