very good shop many kitchen fitters or those who deal with furniture or construction joinery can find a lot of nice things for their work

I purchased an eccentric clamp for my saw's sliding table. Its details suggested it should fit the T-slot on my table but when it arrived its screw fixing was too large a diameter (M12). I phoned their helpline, they arranged to deliver a re-engineered clamp that would fit and for the delivery company (APC) to return the original. All at no extra cost. Really pleased with the result. Excellent service so will definitely use them again.

Very good selection of items, and if they do t have it, they can probably find and get it for you with the vaguest of descriptions. Very good customer service experience.

Good levels of stock, good price, however delivery cost seemed overly expensive for a small item compared with what other companies charge

Great service from Scott+Sargeant. We received our order on time and in good condition. The staff were really helpful providing prompt replies to our queries.

Absolutely first class service. Dealing with Louis has been a pleasure. The kit arrived promptly but it had been thrown around the truck. Almost 200KG of planer on its side and the crate broken open. Louis could not have dealt with it any better, the courier took it away and there will be a new one on its way to me next week. Perfect service and you couldn't ask for more, well done team!

I’ll retract my not so good review. As the staff are very nice and have been very helpful. I am disappointed my order has taken so long. Ordered first thing Monday. Should be with me today (Friday). I feel the delivery charge of £8.95. For one router bit is too much. But other than that. Great company.

Much like other reviews here, our experience with Scott + Sargeant can be summed up by a great variety of products paired with incredibly poor customer service.

In the last four years, every interaction over the phone has been met with disinterest and unwillingness to help. The lack of basic manners, and even swearing if they are pressed too much, has been shocking.

While they do deliver what you purchase and are a reliable company in terms of not scamming customers, don't expect any level of decent customer service. Our most recent order arrived with broken handle caps; despite several emails requesting replacements, there was no response. I even tried to compromise by asking for the part number so I could source them myself, but still, no reply.

When we tried to sell a machine back to them, they initially made an offer. After we responded, there was no follow-up. We chased them several times only to be told by the same uninterested employee—who turns out not to be responsible for purchasing used machines—that they were no longer interested, without ever indicating his role was irrelevant.

In summary, they sell good machines, but often, they arrive slightly damaged. If it’s inconvenient for them to help, they simply ignore you. Be prepared for a lack of interest, frustration, and swearing if you call—and they might not even answer, recognising your number and ignoring further calls.

It's a shame that a company with such good products consistently fails in customer service. We will definitely be looking to source our future machines elsewhere, even at a higher cost and distance. Good customer service and after-sales care are crucial in this industry, but unfortunately, they don't seem to value that at all.

Massive selection of quality products, rapid delivery and great customer service - they are a pleasure to deal with!

There Irish website just sells goods from the UK. so you will be charged vat and handling on all goods making what I bought (€90) coming in after shipping vat and handling €160 euro. Better of buying somewhere else.
