Scents On Trial Limited
I hadn't come across Scentsontrial before so was slightly nervous before ordering, but I am glad I took the plunge. The samples I received were top quality, were delivered promptly and Scentsontrial even generously put some extra ones in as well. I have used a few decant sites in the past, but I plan to make Scentsontrial my new 'goto.' Oh and their prices are very fair too, highly recommended.

I was really impressed with Scents On Trial from placing my order right through to delivery.
I was looking for a perfume for my daughter’s birthday, but she is really fussy when it comes to fragrances and definitely has expensive taste! 😂 She had mentioned a few perfumes she liked, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a full-size bottle without knowing what they actually smelled like on her.
Being able to order the smaller samples was absolutely perfect. It meant we could try a few different fragrances first and decide which one she liked the most before committing to an expensive bottle. It made the whole process so much easier and gave me peace of mind that I was buying the right perfume for her.
The samples arrived quickly and were nicely presented, and everything from ordering to delivery was smooth and hassle-free. I was also really pleased with the quality and authenticity of the fragrances.
I think this is such a brilliant idea for anyone who loves designer perfumes but wants to try them before spending a lot of money on a full bottle.

I bought a 5 ml sample of Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky from Scents on Trial, and the performance of what I received was frankly awful.
This was not a case of the fragrance lasting a few hours less than expected or becoming a skin scent later in the day. Even immediately after spraying, I could barely smell any fragrance around me at all. There was essentially no proper personal scent bubble or noticeable projection. If I moved my wrist or turned my head I could occasionally catch a faint trace of it, but that was about it - and this was during the opening, not hours later.
That is particularly concerning because 1 Million Lucky is well known for having respectable to strong performance, especially in its opening hours. Scents on Trial's own description of Lucky calls its sillage "moderate to strong" and its projection "noticeable and attention-grabbing." What I received was nowhere remotely close to that description.
I cannot prove why the sample performed this way, so I am not going to claim that it was diluted, counterfeit, or anything else I cannot substantiate. It could conceivably have come from an unusually weak bottle or batch. But the difference was extreme enough that I simply do not trust this sample as a genuine representation of 1 Million Lucky.
Their returns policy states that opened or used fragrances will not be refunded simply because they are perceived as different from previous versions, meaning there is very little practical recourse when a problem like this can only be discovered by actually spraying the sample. This blanket policy is the reason for further "star" reductions.
I bought a sample specifically so that I could properly assess whether I wanted the full bottle. Unfortunately, the performance was so extraordinarily poor that I learned virtually nothing about how a normal bottle of 1 Million Lucky would actually wear. I consider it money wasted and will now have to buy another sample elsewhere.

We completely understand your frustration, particularly as the purpose of purchasing a sample is to experience the fragrance before committing to a full bottle. We also appreciate that you have been fair in your review by acknowledging that you cannot determine the reason for the performance you experienced.
All of our fragrances are sourced through our usual supply channels, and we have no reason to believe that the sample was anything other than the genuine fragrance. That said, we take reports of unusual performance seriously, especially when the difference experienced is as significant as you have described.
It is also worth noting that 1 Million Lucky is an Eau de Toilette (EDT), which generally has a lighter concentration and can have less longevity and projection than an Eau de Parfum or Parfum. Performance can also vary depending on factors such as batch, storage, skin chemistry and environmental conditions. However, we appreciate that the performance you experienced was considerably below what you expected.
We’re also sorry that you feel our returns policy left you without a satisfactory resolution. As samples need to be sprayed in order to assess them, we understand the difficulty this can sometimes create when there is a concern about performance.

Was Planning my Holidays This summer and was worried to miss my signature Fragrance as Can’t take a full bottle in my Luggage when traveling with Rucksacks.
I came across scents on Trial and thought to order a smaller Bottle that can fit my purpose i was astonished to see Response from the Team as ordering was super easy and they kept me updated throughout the process and Received my Order in 2 Days.
