I recently completed my Level 6 with the team at SASS Aesthetics Training Academy, and I can honestly say wow! The standard of training they provide is incredible. The support was amazing, all my questions were answered quickly, and the communication throughout was fantastic.

After previously feeling scammed and badly let down by another large training academy while trying to achieve my Level 7, I was understandably cautious. However, SASS truly go above and beyond for their students and have completely restored my confidence in training academies. From the outset and your initial enquiry, you will get sound and comprehensive advice, upfront and concise information and this never fades or diminishes. Having travelled all Over the country attending courses at a vast range of academies I can confidently and truthfully say, there isn’t another I could even compare to Sass. Hayley’s facilitating, passion, wealth of knowledge and integrity is unmatched. I’m a 42-year-old wife and mum of two, and I was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate.

I’ve never been someone who has let my cleft define me. I’ve had a wonderful life, a lovely family, a career I love, and I’ve never wanted people to feel sorry for me. But if you’re born with a visible difference, there are little things that quietly travel alongside you through life. Things you rarely talk about. Memories of tricky surgeries and painful treatments. The way you angle yourself in photographs. The side you instinctively turn towards people. The way your eyes are drawn to your own asymmetry before anyone else’s.

For years I’d occasionally wonder what it would be like if my upper lip looked a little more balanced, but I never wanted to look “over done”. I didn’t want a different face. I just wanted mine, with a little less of the cleft stealing the spotlight.

I first discovered the incredible work of Lindsay Owens and was blown away by the transformations she was achieving for cleft-affected adults. As someone who lives at the opposite end of the country, I admired her work from afar and resigned myself to the fact that it probably wasn’t something I’d ever pursue.

Then I discovered Hayley and her beautiful clinic.

Not only was she local, but I learned that she had trained under Lindsay herself. Having followed both of their work, I can honestly say that Lindsay should be immensely proud. Hayley has taken that knowledge, skill and understanding and delivers it with such confidence, compassion and expertise that I never once questioned whether I was in the right hands.

After a respectable amount of social media stalking, I finally got in touch.

From our very first conversation, Hayley understood something that many people don’t. Cleft isn’t just anatomy. It isn’t just a scar. It comes with decades of memories, surgeries, hospital appointments, uncertainty and resilience. It becomes woven into your story.

What struck me immediately was that Hayley wasn’t trying to just give me bigger lips. She was offering something much more meaningful: the opportunity to see a version of myself that I’d often imagined but never thought was possible.

I’ve now had two appointments with Hayley and both experiences have been exceptional. She combines warmth, professionalism and expertise in a way that makes you feel completely safe. There was never any pressure, never any unrealistic promises, just honest conversations and an obvious determination to achieve the best possible result.

And then there was the aftercare.

Most practitioners send you home with a leaflet and a polite wave.

Hayley practically adopted me.

At one point I felt like a celebrity with my own management team. Every question was answered, every wobble was reassured, every stage of healing was checked and monitored. She promised she’d be messaging me a lot and she wasn’t joking - it made me feel so safe and gave me the peace of mind I needed.

The thing is, I’ve read countless stories from other adults born with cleft lip and palate. One theme appears again and again. It’s rarely about vanity. It’s about finally seeing the outside catch up with how you’ve always felt inside. It’s about looking in the mirror and noticing what is there, rather than what isn’t. It’s about quietly letting go of something you’ve carried for decades.

That’s exactly what this experience has given me.

The funny thing is that most people probably wouldn’t notice the changes as much as I do. But every morning when I catch my reflection, I notice. Every photograph, every smile, every little glance in a shop window.

And after forty-two years, that’s quite a special thing.

Hayley has an extraordinary talent, but what makes her truly special is that she never loses sight of the person behind the treatment. She understands that for some of us, this isn’t simply about filler. It’s about confidence. It’s about healing. It’s about rewriting a tiny part of our story.

I walked into Sass Aesthetics hoping for a slightly more symmetrical lip.

I left with that (they're amazing), but I also left with something far more valuable: a little piece of confidence I didn’t realise I was still missing.

Recently attended a BLS course at Sass and it was really informative! Essential for every practitioner to keep up-to-date with new emergency protocols. Hayley was inviting as always and the course trainer was very knowledgeable (I always ask a million questions lol and she answered them all!). Would really recommend Sass to anyone for their training needs ❤️

I attended the basic life support course at Sass training academy. I had such an informative day in a professional and relaxed environment. The course has given me so much confidence to help my clients if they ever needed first aid/life support. The staff at Sass (Hayley and Levi) are super nice and welcoming!! I am currently undertaking a my ProQual Level 7 course with SASS Aesthetics Training Academy, and so far, my experience has been exceptional. I just finished my theory and practical with Sass, I moved over from another company due to having poor teaching and communication elsewhere. I traveled 5 hours as I was recommended to come to Sass from multiple others practitioners and knew from my first call with Hayley she’d give me the support I needed! Hayley has been amazing at keeping in touch, always fast replies if i have had any questions or queries and the levels are all home learning which is easy to navigate. I attended for my practical this week and felt so welcomed by Hayley and Levi, no question to silly and really knowledgeable training. I can’t wait to go back to do my level 7 I highly recommend Sass aesthetics worth the travel for the amazing support you recieve !

Absolutely phenomenal service from the moment I first contacted Hayley to ask about some treatments. She was so professional and understanding to my situation.
What really made Hayley and her team as SASS shine was the care and reassurance she gave me (even before the phenomenal results). I wanted everything done straight away with instant Results which so many aesthetic clinics promise. But Hayley and her team helped me understand that it was a journey and to achieve the goals I have ultimately achieved I had to be patient and trust the process. Not only to achieve the best results but also to achieve them safely in a way that my body was able to adapt to naturally.
Also very little aesthetic practitioners will promote healthy life style changes to enhance and prolong the effects of aesthetics, but this is something SASS lives by. Sure you could go into any aesthetics clinic and get instant results, but I promise you from experience… those instant results are not healthy and if you want a naturally enhanced aesthetic look you should look no further than SASS aesthetics.
Also one last thing I would say is that I was adamant years ago that I would never go to an aesthetic practitioner/advanced or not for aesthetic work. I always paid almost double to go and have the same work done at either a doctors or a dentist. Why? Because so many aesthetics clinics do not follow ethical guidelines (including doctors and dentists alike) and Ive heard and seen horror stories from clinics that will just give the customer exactly what they want despite that not being healthy or safe. However, I have honestly found the results over time have been by far the best results I have ever had. Even comparing them to doctors and dentists. Hayley and her team really do care and they really do have your best interest at heart. They are not just there to line their pockets. Their results are amazing and you have to trust the process. Believe in what she tells you and you will not regret the results. Thank you to Hayley and all her team for all the hard work she has put in and thank you for always ensuring a warm, friendly and professional environment every time I visit.
Sass aesthetics is no doubt the best aesthetic practitioner within the Northwest and I would not go anywhere else.

I had a hair appointment with Michelle. She was welcoming and friendly and I always feel at ease. Michelle takes on board and follows your instruction on what I want doing with my hair. Came out with my hair feeling so silky smooth after a cut and blow dry. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else to have my hair done now. Good to support your local salon also.
