Purely government propaganda. Zero talent and overpaid throughout. It'd be no loss to make it pay per view. Scandals yet to come I'm sure pure muck and good riddance when it eventually does fail 🙏

After the riots in Dublin the rte coverage or lack or it was a discrace they are clearly a propaganda machine for the current government. Along with many other story's that were dropped passed over or completely ignored rte should be scrapped at this point. It is sad to say I got a more information from news channels not based outside Ireland.

The mark little show last night tomorrow tonight was the greatest load of rubbish and fear mongering garbage I've ever seen.

Personally, I don't get all of the shade RTÉ gets. I understand some but the vast majority is just people angry that they have to pay a tv licence, and let's be honest, most people complaining don't pay it anyways. However RTÉ's funding model is fundamentally broken, not only has it not seen profits for years, not only does it not even fund RTÉ enough, it also makes the public angry about the fact they have to pay €150 a year. I think that it should be funded by the government like the Australian ABC. RTÉ should get enough money to be able to expand, not cut back. If RTÉ is funded well and has enough money, it's output on television, radio and online (RTÉ.ie and RTÉ Player) will significantly improve.

5 minutes a night twice a week, these morons have the rest of the week to make sure their lotto machines are working correctly, yet Saturday 21st October,

they have to cancel it because of "technical issues". In light of their previous behaviour giving underhand payments to so called "Celebrities " they should be closed down permanently, they will not be missed.

Rte Player. An absolute embarrassment to Ireland

The RTE Live Player is absolutely rubbish, my Internet is fibre connected, yet any live streamed sports constant buffering, servers not fit for purpose, programming is abysmal, repeats, or soaps from abroad, very little invested in homegrown entertainment. It's easy to see why the licence fee has seen such a vast drop in numbers paying, and why should they, when the hard working people of this country see their fee contributing to the purchase of 5k worth of flip flops.

RTE remains an 'old boys club' with fat cats lining each others pockets from hard working peoples license fees. This is evident in programming that is stuck in 1980, along with an on demand app that a kid made up in 2nd year high school technology class. If the fee was based on the output of RTE and how many people consume it, it would be €1 per year. RTE remains only due to legal threat of prosecution for the fees, it should be left to wither and rot.

Worst streaming service iv ever used both the app and the website are shockingly bad, need to sack their whole IT team and people in who know what they're doing.

It has improved from been terrible to just being bad. Compared to other streaming platforms continue watching doesn’t transcend devices. When you do use the same device it takes you to the start of the episode not where you left off.

Terrible app. Can’t use live tv except on mobile apps. Ads work fine but hit and miss if your content will load after the ads. Slow to open and search through content. I would never pay for this if I wasn’t forced through the licence fee.

Get rid of it funding criminals that this government does nothing about the government is just as bad they are all in it together 🤬🤬🤬

Its potluck as to whether this app will even bother opening when you want to watch something, absolute joke that this company asks the public to subsidise this useless product, too busy paying presenters exorbitant wages to fix this app

This ap crashes after watching 1 episode of something. You then have to uninstall and restart. Life's too short for this

This has to be the worst. The spooling constantly whilst watching a programme thats if you manage to even get to play a programme. I'm having issues with playing a programme JUST WONT PLAY. The amount of ads are ridiculous most programmes now 6 ads.

Worst app out there full of ads, when ads finishing playing after part 1 of a program, the program will not play.

Rte is a mouthpiece for the woke agenda..no balance .no serious journalism .Debate on Asylum seekers had no balance just two nodding donkeys parroting the government narrative.

Where did RTE get their tv player software it is quite honestly the worst player I have ever used we pay a license fee for this absolutely ridiculous

I am a British Royalist living in Northern Ireland who hates and despises RTE. The mouthpiece of the Irish Republic. It is full of lies and praise for Sein Fein/IRA. I would never watch it.
