Awful customer service

Awful customer service. How on earth can a sustainable company hire such rude and disrespectful people? My Rothys are going back. I will not support a company that employs people who treats its customers the way their customer service agents have treated me.
We hope you forget that we never shipped it!
My wife made me buy these expensive masks. Actually, I wound up liking them. What I really care about is that I ordered the masks on 9/27 and they shipped on 9/30. I live 40 minutes away from where they ship from and I received them on 10/9 and only after I asked why the product never shipped. I could tell since they sent me the tracking information which stated that my package was waiting to be received at USPS. I contacted them 3 times and never received word back. That’s fine too. I’m happy to share my negative experience.
I will never buy from Rothys again
I will never buy from Rothys again. They sent my order to the wrong address and did nothing to help me retrieve it. Neither did DHL the shipper. I had to go to the incorrect address to get the shoes after spending 10 hours trying to track them down. After all that they did not fit and had to be returned and they had the nerve to charge me shipping. Shame on you Rothys. Never again will I purchase from you( after buying 5 pairs of your expensive shoes.
Over Priced Poor Quality Disaster of a Company
Poor quality. Poor sizing. Too expensive. No padding or support. You will likely be charged for shoes that never ship so watch very close! You will likely be shipped shoes that are dirty and used at some point. You will probably be shipped shoes that are not what you ordered.
Good customer service, good shoes!
I'm not sure where all these bad customer service reviews came from! My package got stolen out of the mail and Rothy's agents were extremely accommodating! It took a little bit to get some new ones sent out because they wanted me to give it a couple days to see if they turned up and file a claim with USPS. Ultimately they sent a new pair via UPS, free of charge.
Now for the shoes themselves, I definitely recommend trying them on in your house for a few hours to see how they truly fit your feet. I thought the first pair (the point) I ordered was good enough but it really pinched my toes after a few hours of house chores so I exchanged them for a half size up. Because I'd worn them in my house only Rothy's was able to take them back. The second pair did rub on my heels a little, but I bought some pad inserts at a local shoe store and fixed that issue immediately.
They're very high quality shoes that I believe will last me a very long time!
Rothys has an excellent product with horrible customer service
Rothys has a great product that asks a premium price. Happy to pay but if you have an issue, all you will receive a generic generated email response. I own 10 pairs of Rothys shoes. Even though the shoes are great, they have lost my loyalty.
Worst Customer Service.
Love Rothy's shoes, TERRIBLE customer service. Shoe sizes are inaccurate and inconsistent. The shoes are washable, but they SHRINK a ton. If you plan on washing, you must buy 2 sizes up. I had issues with the shoes shrinking so much that I couldn't wear them (even after following directions to hand wash in cold water) and emailed the company. 4 different reps told me contradictory information. One said that the shoes shrink with every wash. A second rep said that the shoes will shrink but "just like your favorite jeans" they stretch back out. A third said that they absolutely do not stretch back out. A 4th said that she has never heard anyone complain about the shoes shrinking. She also said that the shoes DO NOT shrink, that the other reps were wrong and accused me of lying. Totally ridiculous. Won't be purchasing again from this horrible company.
Unhappy with this company and their response to a mistake they made to my order.
I ordered three pairs of flats, three different colors. I finally received my order over a month later and my order had three pairs of black shoes. I do not need three pairs of identical black shoes. Your customer service told me that they hoped I would be happy with my order since it will cost more to return them! What kind of business is this?? I am not happy and I will be leaving bad reviews and contacting my credit card company I spent $234.97 and that is too much money to spend on three pairs of the very same shoe!
Great shoes, worst customer service ever
I love, love, love the shoes and bag I’ve purchased. The shoes are phenomenal for my feet. However, their customer service is abysmal. I’ve had two horrible interactions in the last few months. First, I used a $20 referral perk to purchase two pairs (same design, just different sizes, so I could see which would fit). I returned the pair which didn’t fit and they only applied half of the referral perk ($10). I asked customer service why the referral wasn’t applied in full to the pair I kept. They didn’t have a good answer. When I asked for another code so I could spend the remaining $10 of the referral, they refunded $10 to me. Second, I purchased four pairs (two designs and two sizes or each). I returned three pairs, but submitted two separate returns because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to keep. I mailed all three in one box (sustainability and all). Rothy’s only processed the return for the pair associated with the return code and said nothing about the other two pairs. I contacted customer service about them and got a mini lecture about the proper return policies. They made a one time exception and returned the other two pairs. I’m baffled they they said nothing about the other two pairs when they received the box. Like I’d send back pairs and not want a refund. I love the shoes and the company’s values, but their customer service makes me weary of ordering if there’s even a chance I’ll have to return anything. Their horrid customer service is what will hold them back from becoming a phenomenal company.
Beware of inconsistent sizing
I ordered a pair of the flat in my size (12). They felt fine. After an hour they hurt and felt small. They’re worn now so it’s a waste of $125, because of their return policy. Next I ordered the Chelsie in a size 12 1/2. Perfect fit! So I ordered another flat in a 12 1/2, figuring it will be good. I put them on, seemed ok. And after a few hours, they felt too small. In fact, they feel more like the original size 12 pair. They’re sizing is inconsistent and they’re way too expensive to be sitting in a closet unworn. They’re return policy sucks. I really wanted to get the loafer, but I won’t risk it again. BTW the soles of the flat are extremely thin. The Chelsie was better.
The company is aware that tons of scam…
The company is aware that tons of scam websites cropping up claiming to be Rothy's, yet will not warn their customers about it. Many people have been scammed already, and the company is doing nothing even after reports have been made to the company. It is truly irresponsible of them to not put up a warning against scam operations. To this day, these scammers' websites are still up and running, after all the claims of "we are actively working to take these down."
Rip off
These shoes are like wearing nothing on your feet... Could they be any thinner? So it you want something between the ground and your feet - don't buy these.
They are cute and the marketing is catchy, and since I couldn't go out shopping I fell for it. Mistake.
I gave an extra star
I gave an extra star, because the person I interacted with was a nice human. I should say, these shoes are comfortable. I should also say, it is pretty much like wearing a SWEATER on your foot. NOT durable. I got a huge pick on my shoe the first day just from walking half a mile to work on concrete. It was my first pair, the offered no remedy to the situation, did not offer a way that I could prevent this in the future. When this happens the FIRST DAY I wore them, that gives me a huge pause on buying any more. And if you are paying THAT MUCh for a shoe, there should be a way they can prevent that or replace it if it happens with first wear. will not be ordering from them again!
Beware of Rothy's
Beware of Rothy's. I ordered 02 May 2020, they charged my card - and it is now the 15th and they have not even shipped. Rothy's will not cancel the order. They do not have an expected ship date. They do not have an expected receipt date. I will most likely never get shoes or my money.
Unlike other on-line retailers (Chewy.com comes to mind), there is no statement about shipping delays, expected arrival. Customer service cannot provide anything other than an apology. Buyer beware.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. I was drastically overcharged and they have done nothing about it. They told me it was canceled and it wasn’t. Now it seems they are ignoring my emails. Will never purchase anything from them again.
BAD Business and not honoring the referral code!
After being a loyal customer for years and a few referrals, my barely adult daughter wanted to purchase herself a pair. So i sent her a referral code to her email address. She used the family computer to log in, used the code from her email address and I agreed to allow her to use my credit card for this purchase. Long story short, we have the same 1st name but different last names (my son is also a Jr.), they honor her discount but didn't honor the refer discount stating, "I know this is not the answer you were expecting to hear, but we cannot issue referral rewards or self-referrals". Basically accusing me of making up a self-referral! I explained maybe when she used the family computer maybe that caused the hiccup, spent 2 days verifying the details and 2 separate email accounts and in the end again, sorry you're not getting a referral code. Just feel like if this were a male scenario stating they have the same name as their father it would've been ok AND feels like total discriminatory. I was also told because we have the same address, I don't know of any young adults able to afford rent on their own, especially in California!

Terrible customer service!!! And guess what you can’t review their customer service on their site. Shoes are made in China! I’m still waiting on supervisor to call me. Awful experience. Will never buy more Rothy’s.
I walk all day in these with NO problems
I’m also surprised to see all the negative reviews-I have 2 pair and I love them. Both of mine are the pointed toe flats, a pair in Navy and a pair in Flax & they both are comfy and hold up very well. I did order half a size up as recommended for that style and it was spot on.
If I know I’m walking a lot that day-I wear these or my Allbirds flats.
I have several pairs of flats from Rita’s shoe closet too but the Rothy’s are higher quality
Never Again!
I purchased a pair of shoes from Rothys because of all of the hype of how great they are. Boy was I disappointed. I got a pair in black of the pointed toe shoes. I have had them for about a month now and they are so not comfortable. Also you can see my toes through the shoes. I am so disappointed especially considering how much I paid for them. Rothys needs to go way down on their price. Will never purchase again.
