I wouldn't even give this lot a 1 they are disgusting people treat you like dirt when there the scum they called me a liar that I was suppose to pay a payment but they didn't there a bunch of liars.

They employ a bailiff called Lara Verrell who vanished from Torquay with our holiday deposit on her van... if she comes calling, please feel free to remind her for me!

I’m 6 months pregnant and the guy HAMMERED on my door despite there being a doorbell. My dogs went bananas! And made me think someone was trying to get in the house since they were running between the front and back door. We knew nothing of the debt they were claiming was owed so fiancé called and spoke to a very rude and demanding man. All this because our Council tax DD hadn’t been set up properly by them when we moved in the house! This guy spoke to my fiancé like dirt and refused to take anything but full payment! Council confirmed this shouldn’t have happened and have instructed this company to jog on now and will be complaining directly to them also.

There is no lower star other than 1, sorry guys to give them even a single star. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

My property was rented out and upon the tenancy ended and the property became vacant, I did not receive any council tax bill to my email. Since my property is 3 hours away from where we live, I did not visit the property where the letter been posted.

When I went and found letters saying my non-payment resulted in debt collection agency, I called them and discussed everything. They agreed to send me email with outstanding payment which I paid for £118. then later I got email saying the overdue amount of £75 needs to be paid. When I asked why the letter sent to my email did not bear my name nor my address but simply having content and balance amount, the guy on the other end start saying if you don't pay you will receive additional sums added. When I politely asked him to explain why my name and address is not there he repeatedly said, we sent you email and you said you received it, so you need to pay. I said I am going to pay that mate but can you able to send me the bill with my name and address the money is owed, he started talking without listening and saying you will receive additional sums to pay.. you need to name now...

so much frustrated. Cheap behavior, Bad customer service, irresponsible attitude, Low profile serivce.

We received an outstanding debt from a property that we were not registered at living at.It was sold by my husband's ex-partner. The bill should have been in my maiden name. But we got the invoice in my married name. Along with my husband's name, we rang up. We'd had no prior warnings. And they were telling us, they were going to come and collect items from our house.If we did not pay a substantial amount or the full amount bearing in mind, it was over 1800 pound as over 9 years had gone by. And we d had not been notified, they were not very understanding, not prepared to listen. The lady that we were dealing with was very rude and abrupt repaid 500 pounds off straight away. And then we were told we would be able to pay 260 pounds a month after that, the next month we decided. Ok, we're gonna pay the 260 pound. We rang up, gave him our details, and the lady took the whole amount. And then when we told them that we needed the money back, because that wasn't the agreement, she said that was not her problem. And we wouldn't be able to get the money back. My husband then had to make a further complaint where we was then eventually reimbursed, but the whole experience is just disgusting. And I've no idea how these people live with themselves, the woman clearly power hungry no empathy or consideration foul mouthed definitely should not be working in a position that deals with the public as clearly no people skill or humility I understand they have a job to do. But there is a limit.I m a lady I don't know her name but she was very rude and disgraceful.Awful human being

I contacted Ross & Roberts to inform them I could only afford £100 a month they declined this offer we’re very rude told me that was not going to be the case it was £300 or they will be visiting, I contacted a debt advisory service for support they took on my debts and tried to support me to communicate with Ross & Roberts still no joy so together we contacted the council whom had instructed Ross & Roberts to collect the debt , they agreed a payment plan with me to suit my circumstances and I was informed of a date to start paying the debt , and they would notify Ross & Roberts of the arrangement made , I received a text from Ross and Roberts with a completely different payment date to the one I arranged with the creditor and now I am still receiving letters and calls from Ross & Roberts saying I have broken the arrangement, bailiffs are intimidating enough but this company are unreal no wonder people ignore letters and calls when staff are so unapproachable

Absolutely despicable people. There is no talking to these people, they don't care about you're personal circumstances, situations or even if you're partner suddenly passes away and you have to pay a grand before they can be even buried!. Ross&Roberts have impacted my mental and physical health dramatically. I Absolutely hate ALL that work for this company. Crazy george is what you should be called, beat down people who are at the lowest, and take good pride in it. Awful to deal with!.

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. Tried to explain my situation to the bailiff as I have been recovering from a domestic abuse situation, I am currently trying to find alternative safe housing for me and my daughter we are scared and the way the bailiff spoke to me put the phone down in my ear. I was trying to explain I can’t afford £500 right now and gave me no time to explain put the phone down several times on me. Requested the company and the bailiff for a woman worker due to the situation and I was denied this as well. I offered to pay what I can afford but still treating me disgusting. It has trigged all my anxiety and fears of men and so scared. I can not believe a person can treat another person like this.

They are not human they are rude disrespectful don't listen I was paying £150pm but it was a struggle so tried to call the bailiff mr mason to reduce my payments to £50 PM left a message for him to call me back which never happened then I had a email to say the bailiff called to the house but he never and they are sending the removal team in to remove goods not that I have anything worth selling but that's not the point I have physical and mental health issues I tried to ring the removal team to explain but got a answer phone again so messaged them explaining my situation I had a message back basically saying see you when we come to remove your goods well I'm afraid they will have to take me to court then maybe the judge will listen to me I have the messages and letters and see what the court makes of there bullying and intimidating ways because I have had enough

Disgusting people all other collection company reasonable these people will treat you disrespectfully even if you’re disabled and vulnerable will act like you’re scum of the earth even when trying to pay and will try and provoke you so they can end call, avoid at all costs nasty staff a company should be ashamed of!

I am on insolvency register and they have been contacted by official receiver to only deal with them and not contact me, they just ignore everything and everyone and apparently are coming to my homeless accommodation to seize goods that I don't have so that should be interesting, I intend to call police and also film the entire scenario and upload to as many platforms as possible to expose these criminals.

These guys NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE!! Spending hours on hold to try and resolve an issue!!! Sort it out guys!!

Depraved incompetent employee. Dialled "5" to be put through to line where you believe an error has been made. First thing the women states after security questions is " Yes are you paying in full today? ". Robotic individuals who laugh when you state that people have commited suicide over companies like them selves. Looks like this individuals personality matches this kind of job perfect.
They'd actually be receiving alot more money had they the common sense and empathy within themselves to deal with human beings in the correct manner.
They have absolutely no clue in how to deal with anyone.
Perhaps you'd get the money you're asking for if you're more attuned to communicating properly with individuals reaching out.
Let me repeat again, they laugh and then get angry at you pointing out people take their own lives over companies like themselves.

They are chasing me for a debt I don’t owe! I’m trying to sort it out but I’ve been on hold forever, utterly ridiculous.

Scam company, don't listen to what you tell them, what threw up red flags for me was they have an area code of 01458 Which is a town called Langport in the south west of England, but their address is in North Hamptonshire. Anyone who reads this contact companies house about them immediately, also talking to a legal representative where I live in Florida(I don't live in the United Kingdom anymore, I live with my girlfriend in Florida who's an attorney at law) if you move abroad, your debts in the United Kingdom become null and void,

I have had the most distressing last Friday of my life, I was greeted on Thursday with a loud bang at the door and a letter pushed through stating I have to pay my finalised bill plus enforcement charges, I also received another letter via the post man the same day stating I had to pay the original balance without enforcement charges by 02/02/25 (this letter dated 20/01/25 arrived 30/01/25). I tried explaining that i hadn’t even been given the correct time frame to pay the amount and offered to pay the original amount (which they took), they were rude told me they would continue to pursue me for the enforcement money! I said I would be looking at sourcing help for this as they refused to put my account of hold while reviewing my internal complaint I also clearly stated to them that I am classed as a vulnerable adult and suffer from depression and anxiety (I can prove via the doctors if needed) an hour later I get a threatening text stating they will be arriving to my property from 6am the following day! I held multiple times waiting over 40 minutes each time just to speak to someone for them to refuse to even look at the letters they’d sent me, I asked for a supervisor or manager as The person I spoke to told me “I won’t look at your letters whether I can access them or not” and was informed that a manager would not bother to even answer the phone if I was put through! I contacted stop the bailiffs which told me to refuse to pay the enforcement and ask for the account to be put on hold which they’d already refused, I tried contacting the bailiff directly who kept his phone off for the whole day on the Thursday and only managed to get through on the Friday to be told that he too would still be pursuing and that he does not need to wait for them to investigate and that he would continue to rack up the charges against me for each time he has to visit! Eventually I managed to contact the council almost in an anxiety attack state to put a hold on this account (I only knew I could go this route after talking to a solicitor for free legal advice) as they could already see that I had paid the requested amount and they could see the letter clearly stated 02/02/25. I can’t believe how they treat vulnerable people I can’t imagine being worse off than I currently am mentally and having to handle these people! I understand wanting to pursue but when dealing with people with anxiety I do not expect to get threatening text after paying back my debt. FYI this was for council tax that I had been paying a monthly sum off to clear and is the only debt I had gotten into thankfully.

Zero star from me. They are a despicable company with no manners. They are rude, unhelpful and when they cant answer the questions as they know they are in the wrong they pull the dont be abusive to me card! Been trying to pay my account, no one answers the phone, cant use the payment line as it wont let me, when u get through its always someone else’s problem and for some reason they are unable to transfer calls internally! Charged me for a letter despite me leaving messages to try to pay my bill on the date they asked for. Paying it as just want them off my back. Had the council on one phone whilst on the phone to r&r, council lady agreed and noted at how unhelpful they were and said i should stand tall and refuse to pay the charge. Bunch of uneducated nasty crooks. Absolute joke of a company, should be struck off. Not painting a good picture for our councils!

Absolutely appalling service.
Multiple times received notices for the previous occupier of my property, so tried using their online service to update the information (as they ask you to do!), and yet my updates were completely ignored - I'm still receiving notices for the previous tenants.

Filed a complaint, but there's no acknowledgement that it's even been recorded, the website simply takes you back to the starting page, no reference, nothing, so how am I supposed to keep track of it?

Finally, as others have mentioned, their phone number is practically obsolete - NO-ONE ANSWERS. I've been on that same holding stage for sometimes hours at a time, only to finally have to give up when I need to make other calls. No call backs, no acknowledgement, just like everything else.

Abysmal (lack of) customer service.

Just received a threatening aggressive letter from them about some supposed non response to an imaginary enforcement letter of theirs. Nobody answering the phone at their offices - spelling mistakes on their website - could be a scam company.
