i came into mg portsmouth. i was greeted by the salesman olly and he took me for a test drive in a 2024 mg3 hybrid and i really enjoyed the feel of the car. i then found a car online and came into the dealership to test drive that. Olly showed brilliant professionalism and explained the process clearly to me.

Unscheduled drop in , we were seen by with Sundeep. He was endlessly patient and very helpful. Great service. Thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately, my experience with this Citroën service centre has been extremely disappointing.
I originally brought my vehicle to them for repairs and ended up having several major components replaced, including the clutch and flywheel. I paid a significant amount of money for the work.
After collecting the vehicle, further problems appeared. The car later developed gearbox-related issues and I had to return for further investigation. An independent mechanic subsequently changed the gearbox oil and the problem disappeared.
More recently, the clutch that was replaced by this garage started making a loud noise when the clutch pedal is pressed. The vehicle has now been returned to them so that they can investigate and repair the issue.
One of my biggest frustrations throughout my experience with this garage has been the availability of courtesy cars. Whenever I need to bring my vehicle back for repairs, there never seems to be a courtesy car available unless I am prepared to wait a long time for an appointment.
This is particularly disappointing in the current situation. I am returning because of a problem with a clutch that they replaced only several months ago, yet I have still been left without a vehicle because no courtesy car was available.
I understand that courtesy cars cannot always be guaranteed, but when a customer has already paid a substantial amount for major repairs and then has to return because of a possible issue with that work, I would expect better support and aftercare.
I have kept the invoices, booking information and correspondence relating to the repairs and subsequent issues.
Based on my experience, I am very disappointed with the overall level of aftercare and customer support.

This is the worst garage I have ever taken my car to.

I left my car there to have the clutch repaired. The repair took two days, but after I got the car back, the clutch was actually worse than before. When I returned, they told me the clutch master cylinder was faulty, so I had to pay for another repair.

After only two months, the clutch started malfunctioning again. I took the car back, and they said I should not drive it. They agreed to repair it under warranty, but they did not provide a courtesy car, leaving me without transport for work, shopping, or any other trips while my car was in the garage. This is especially inconvenient during the summer holidays.

The problems started in December 2025 and are still not resolved.

I do not recommend this garage. I have spent a lot of money, my car has become worse instead of better, and the issue remains unresolved. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a garage.

Toby was great from the first meeting to the collection of car a week later.
Answered all questions and I never felt under any pressure with my purchase .
Only concern is info ref warranty schedule being up to date was a bit vague .

I was looking for a second hand Suzuki Swift (they are fabulous little cars!), with an idea of what I was prepared to pay.
Jag found me the car I wanted at a price I could afford. He didn't try to push me to spend more, which means he wasn't being pressured to do that by the company. I find that very reassuring.
I genuinely enjoyed his company during the whole process.
I would definitely choose Richmond Suzuki Portsmouth again

Bought a new car after 13 years, Things have changed a lot since then but Daniel Tate was very helpful through the whole experience, We could not ask for better service and help.

Asking for to contact them, them are still lot responding to me. This company is not responding to my lease broker.

Thai company have supplied a vehicle missing spec and pre delivery inspection not done to MG standards. Having spoken to MG they also confirmed that it has not been done correctly.

No ownership is being taken, happy to take money but not provide the service.

We had thr best experience buy our mg from Richmond motor group portsmouth, sandeep our salesman was so warm a d friendly when we arrived and made us feel at ease. When my wife and I arrived at thw sales room the MG we wanted to see was being purchased. Sandeep and the management team bent over backwards and made sure that we got the car we wanted within the our budget. We could not have asked them to do anything more. We will definitely be recommending Richmond motor group MG to other people.

Took a test drive at Richmonds MG Farlington and was looked after by a lovely salesman Sundeep Valand who made us feel very comfortable and took time to explain everything to us nothing was too much trouble which resulted in us deciding to order a new car so thank you Sundeep for making it so easy for us you are a real gentleman
