The instructions were missing a few details like rotating the piece that holds the bar in place. The curtain makes absolutely zero difference in noise level. The magnetic strip is pulled off the wall by the weight of the curtain.

The most recent purchase, one of the drapes is falling apart. While the canvas covering is intact, the internal sound dampening material is ripped quite substantially, thus negating the sound deadening qualities of the product significantly.
I’ve purchase many of these curtains in the past, but this time it appears that the materials they are using is not the same high quality materials they’ve used previously.

The product as advertised was easy to roll up as well as down. Rolling up takes several minutes. This also made it a fire hazard, in my opinion, if used on the only exit door of the home (which happened to be the case in my apartment). Also I tried to follow the instructions to measure it properly for the door but ended up getting the wrong size. A terrible experience.

Piece of junk! Why can't we have no star or a dark night? Even one star is something shining...their video on their site showing a curtain stopping loud music has to be a complete fake. But as a customer we are also stupid to think a canvass cloth curtain can stop noise! Mine doesn't - not even 1 decibel if I can put it scientifically. I complained and their first comment was they can't refund me. I had not even asked for a refund at this point but evidently they receive so many requests for refund that she started off with that, making it a standard default response! She asked for the order # to verify about the product but never replied back. When I followed up a week later asking if they confirmed the correct product was shipped, she said Yes. Next, I sent her pictures of the installed curtain and she confirmed it is installed properly. So the curtain is good and the installation is fine. But most importantly I also have a good door separating the 2 areas AND I added this curtain. But they can't tell me why it is not working! Why can they not? It's their product...it is not working because it is not even meant to work. Their advice is for me to get a solid door in place of what we have. Why do they advertise it without any door as if it is a catch all of all noise! 600 dollars down the drain.

I see the company's reply to my initial comment and do not agree with it. This is not what they say when they show their video or put it anywhere in their product guide. And neither are the walls hollow, it can be inspected by anyone. The wall separates one unit of the house from the other and can't be set up without being properly solid. I wonder how many more excuses they will give...

I purchased 3 curtains three months ago and they don't really work much as a soundproof curtains, besides they are awkward to roll back up and you'll end up leaving them down all the time.
Also, another important thing is you'll get charged a delivery fee for each curtain you purchase. I literally received 1 box with 3 curtains rolled into it and I had to pay 3 delivery fees, I consequently raised the issue with the company and the answer was that that is the deal they have with their currier partner so be aware of that.
Overall It's a poor quality product and widely overpriced, look somewhere else in my opinion.

This is a follow up review - I submitted a previous review and provided my order info since they responded they wanted to resolve my problem, they did not try once to correct any issue, instead they flag my review and try to get it removed.

Do not buy this product. After following the measuring guide as well as contacting the company before purchasing, the product I received did not fit our windows. The perimeter seal is attached very sloppily and is not square on the curtain so it does not line up with our window sill. After talking with customer service, the only option available to me was to pay $150 to have them redo it. That being said, I also think the product looks worse than it does in the photos on their website. Avoid this overpriced poor product.

We live relatively close to a highway, and while the leaves in the summer dampen the noise, it can be pretty disturbing in the winter. My wife is a very light sleeper, so I bought her some acoustic for her for Christmas.
The first night we used them, I was amazed at how quiet it was. I expected an improvement, but not for the room to be quiet enough that you could hear a pin drop. These are amazing!

Shades help but not what you advertised. Very expensive. Would not recommend for the price I had to pay!!!!!!!!!

And on top of everything they sent me a curtain that was too short
I told them about it and their answer was oh if you pay us more money we can resize the curtain ! I followed the measuring directions by the book it was their fault why should I pay to resize
It doesn’t block any noise anyways , better to stay away and use a solid core door

We purchased an AcousticCurtain to mask the sound of a noisy AC unit located right outside our bedroom window. The curtain made a dramatic difference and rendered the room habitable, even for my light-sleeping husband. Hooray!

So far so good with the sound blockage of a media room. We had a slight measuring/length issue, but, as of today, Customer Service handled it fairly and professionally so we will update the review after the additional piece is installed. But great so far!

Worked better than I expected. We had a problem with the dog barking with noise from the downstairs apartment, so I ordered an AcoustiCurtain to cover the doorway. I was skeptical of the cost, but if it helped at all it was probably worth it for us.

Took several weeks to arrive since it was custom. But the product that came was really well crafted, and the color looked better against my walls than I expected. The micro-velcro really helps the sealing, and the straps and grommets are top quality, heavy duty, while not looking too industrial. I could see what I was paying for, and now I think it's a good price!

It sealed well around the doorway and the noise, indeed, was greatly reduced; more more than the sand-filled door jamb blocker I'd had before. I was happy enough with it to order another one.

The one time I emailed customer service, I got a response within 8 hours.

It doesn't stop all the noise, but in this case, it did more than enough. Months later, I decided I needed another one.

Worth the money in my opinion. Not a miracle worker but definitely makes street noise quieter beyond the sound control offered from our double pane windows. Nice look. Installation a bit tricky with measurements of the hooks but not too bad.

We needed a product that would help us turn a den into a nursery for baby #2 by closing off an open doorway into the room to block light & sound but still allowing us to come in and out. After learning that other methods (sheetrock, accordian doors, etc) couldnt work, Residential Acoustics was able to create a large, custom fitted acoustic curtain that we could hang and slide open and closed as needed. The curtain does a great job keep light and sound out to keep the baby asleep while still allowing air to flow. The staff were super helpful in coming up with this creative solution to our problem and getting the product to us in time! Thanks Residential Acoustics!

Inner layer breaking down after only a few years. Velcro also worn out and doesn’t seal adequately.

I'm very happy with my residential acoustics curtain. The company went above and beyond to help me with the right solution for the French doors of my home office, answered all of my multiple questions and provided excellent customer service. The curtain is very sturdy and blends well with my décor. I have seen a big improvement in muffling the sound of my barking dog while I'm working. The curtain will not make my office entirely soundproof and I wasn't expecting that it would, but the noise level is definitely much lower than before when I didn't have the curtain.

RA customer service is bad , tried calling for two weeks , nothing , emailed multiple times , nothing , once you pay for something it’s done , nobody will be willing to help , that will finally respond but that response is as good as nothing. As far as product goes , I agree it’s very well made , however it doesn’t work as advertised , I really don’t know how this can work after trying it out, I was really hoping it would but it doesn’t . I end up spending all together approx $500 and I can throw them out.

Residential Acoustics is simply a first class company that makes a quality product. I needed a solution for the entry to a theater room. The people at RA gladly exchanged numerous emails and phone calls with me to help me choose the right product (which turned out to be the AcoustiTrac), and explain to me the various custom options that were available to make the product perfect for my needs (including a different color on each side). Then, the product was delayed, but the delay was well-intended because someone at RA had noticed a potential glitch in my design and dimensions that would result in substantially less sound being blocked. After talking me through it, I actually received a refund because the dimensions were reduced. The product that arrived was very well made, and certainly needed two people to install because the curtain is so substantial. Installation, however, was not difficult, and the curtain looks beautiful and does an excellent job blocking sound and light. Finally, when I discovered that the entry way required an extra piece of material for aesthetic purposes, RA manufactured it, and then didn’t charge me for it because they felt that it had taken too long to complete the initial order. In sum, great people, great product – you can’t go wrong with Residential Acoustics.
