You cannot trust RentMasseur
You cannot trust RentMasseur’s ratings to reflect the full customer experience
I have used RentMasseur dozens of times and have had many positive experiences, so I am very familiar with the platform and its review system.
I recently had a confirmed appointment with a provider. We had agreed on the day, approximate time, duration, rate, and address, and I even confirmed the exact location the day before.
The provider then gave my appointment time to someone else because I had not contacted him again that day, despite never telling me that another confirmation was required. I only found out when I messaged that I was getting into my car to leave for the appointment.
I submitted a factual review describing what happened. RentMasseur rejected it because the massage itself never took place.
That makes their rating system fundamentally misleading. The massage did not take place because of the provider’s conduct, yet RentMasseur will not allow that conduct to be reflected in the provider’s rating.
Scheduling, reliability, communication, and respect for a customer’s time are part of the service. If negative experiences involving those things are excluded simply because the appointment ultimately did not occur, then users are not seeing the complete history of a provider’s customer interactions.
After using RentMasseur dozens of times, I now have to question how meaningful its ratings actually are. If experiences like mine are systematically excluded, you cannot rely on the ratings to tell you the whole story.
