Funny that a company puts so much emphasis on Pangram knowing how flawed of an AI detection tool it is. The cherry on top is them defending it by giving you a corporate response that is clearly made by AI LOL. When tried to get more info, they just ended the online convo. Great customer service!
Account disabled for no apparent reason
I created an account on Qwoted and had barely started using the platform. I had not applied to any opportunities, submitted any pitches, contacted anyone, or taken any other action on the site.
A few days after signing up, my account was suddenly disabled without any clear reason.
When I contacted customer support, I was asked to send personal and professional information by email, including my LinkedIn profile and details about my background, directly to a member of the support team.
I found this process very strange. If additional information is required to verify an account, I would expect it to be requested as part of the normal onboarding or verification process on the platform, rather than having an account disabled first and then being asked to send personal information by email.
Considering that I had not even used the platform yet, the whole experience felt unnecessarily confusing and made me uncomfortable continuing with the service.
Manual onboarding?
I opened a Qwoted account on August 4. The next day, before I had even finished setting up my profile or taken any action on the platform, my account was "temporarily disabled."
Support explained that additional information was required to verify my expertise and asked me to send my qualifications, areas of expertise and LinkedIn profile by email(!) for manual review.
I find this onboarding process very strange. If additional information is required for verification, users should be allowed to complete their profiles first, then provide it before their accounts are disabled. I hadn't submitted a pitch, contacted anyone, or otherwise used the platform yet.
I decided not to continue. I shouldn't need to go through a separate manual verification process by email simply because the platform disabled my account before I could finish setting it up.

Annoying service ran by self-important "girl bosses" like it's the HR department from hell. Idiotic "rules", false positive issues. Just a headache. Overpriced. Underdelivering. Save your money and your time
Love Qwoted
I really appreciate how Qwoted curates media opportunities that I may not know about through my own monitoring. It also saves me time by helping me know exactly which reporters and outlets want to cover news or publish articles that are relevant to my clients. With so many AI tools/spammers clogging up journalists' inboxes, it's helpful to know Qwoted can help ensure my pitches are actually read and I don't spend time getting lost in a reporter's Outlook emails. My experiences with customer service and our account representative have been fabulous. Qwoted helps me do my job better and helps generate fresh opportunities for my clients.
If I could give this website 0 stars I would.
Terrible experience even registering. All this will do is flood your emails with the exact same "inquiries" over and over, and no way to actually respond to them. And no clear way to delete your account once customer support has finished wasting your time. Which is against "Right to Delete" laws.
Stay away.
So far, it seems like a headache and a half..
Overall the Qwoted process has tons of hurdles, rule after rule, constant need for approval for minor adjustments through their management team, don't allow team support, their even picky about the email being used. So far, it seems like a headache and a half - Doesn't feel worth it so far.

Deceptive Practices and Zero Accountability
We managed an agency account with 30+ clients through Qwoted, and without warning, they pulled the plug — accusing us of using AI-generated content. We weren't. Their so-called "AI Checker" is laughably unreliable; we ran the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution through it and it flagged it as 100% AI-written. That should tell you everything you need to know about how seriously to take their detection methods.
What's really going on? It's simple math. Our agency account was $750/month. If each of our clients has to sign up individually at $200/month, that's $6,000/month for Qwoted — nearly $72,000 a year compared to the $9,000 they were getting from us. The AI accusation was just the excuse they needed to force a far more profitable arrangement.
On top of all that, their customer support feels entirely scripted, no one takes ownership of anything, and there's zero path to a real resolution. This has been one of the most frustrating vendor experiences I've encountered in my career. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
I sound like I'm exaggerating but...
I sound like I'm exaggerating, but Qwoted has changed my life. As a new entrepreneur in a niche business, I knew that it was important for me to be seen in the media. Visibility leads to credibility which leads to trust and trust converts to sales. But how do I get seen? I tried multiple popular systems and services, but Qwoted gave me results instantly. The emails they send me matching my niche are accurate, targeted and are from real and vetted media outlets. This saves a TON of time. It's also important to me to EARN placement, not pay for it. I wanted to be quoted as the expert, not to pay someone to say I'm the expert. I have been in all sorts of major media (again not exaggerating!) as a result of working with Qwoted and it continues to wow me every day. I love these guys!!

Real humans, great customer service
As a freelance journalist, I appreciate the amount of effort the team takes to keep the expert community high-quality and real. There is so much press now about fake experts or real people with fake expertise and, not only do the platform and team diligently verify people, they take all feedback and reports very seriously. The customer service is top notch and they even email me occasionally to ask if they can help recommend experts for any stories I am working on.

Qwoted - an A+ Media Relations Tool
I manage media relations efforts for an 11-hospital System, which includes an Academic Medical Center. We have been using Qwoted for approximately 1.5 years and absolutely find it to be the best use of any dollars in our very limited budget. Through Qwoted, we have learned of many story opportunities that we would otherwise not have known about and developed relationships with a number of journalists. We have had multiple expert clinicians quoted in national media coverage and secured dozens of stories as a direct result of being active on the Qwoted platform -- which is very easy to use! I would highly recommend incorporating Qwoted into your media relations workflow.

A Game-Changing Platform for Thought…
A Game-Changing Platform for Thought Leaders and Innovators, By Martin Mehl, Founder & CEO, Mentorship Academy, LLC | Scholar in Residence | Inventor of AI WorkScore
In my decades of work at the intersection of academia, industry, and consulting, I've seen countless platforms promise to connect experts with media opportunities. Most fall short. Qwoted is the rare exception that not only delivers on its promise but exceeds expectations in ways that genuinely matter to those of us doing cutting-edge work in emerging fields.
As someone deeply embedded in AI innovation, mentorship frameworks, and digital literacy—areas where nuance, accuracy, and credibility are paramount - I cannot overstate how refreshing it is to have a reliable space where pioneering thought leadership can reach truly high-caliber journalism. Qwoted has become an indispensable tool in my work, and here's why.
The Quality of Connection Matters
What sets Qwoted apart is the caliber of journalists and publications actively using the platform. These aren't content farms looking for quick quotes, these are credible primary authors and editors from respected outlets who understand the importance of expert sourcing.
When I respond to a query on Qwoted, I know I'm potentially contributing to journalism that matters, that will be fact-checked, and that will reach audiences who value substantive insight.
In fields as rapidly evolving as AI and digital transformation, this level of credibility is essential. Misinformation spreads quickly, and having a platform that connects genuine experts with responsible journalists is not just convenient, it's critical for public discourse.
Proactive Outreach That Respects Expertise
One of Qwoted's greatest strengths is its ability to facilitate proactive outreach from journalists once you've established your reputation on the platform. After several successful collaborations, I've found that journalists begin to recognize the value of specialized expertise in areas like AI WorkScore methodology, digital literacy frameworks, and the unique challenges at the crossroads of academia and industry.
The platform doesn't just post queries and hope for responses—it actively creates an ecosystem where expertise is valued, discovered, and leveraged. For someone juggling the demands of running Mentorship Academy, conducting research, and developing innovative AI solutions, this efficiency is invaluable.
The Qwoted Team Makes the Difference
I'd be remiss not to give a special shout-out to Shelby and the entire Qwoted team. Their thoughtful monitoring and facilitation demonstrate a deep understanding of what experts need.
They're not just running a matching service; they're curating an environment where meaningful professional relationships can develop between sources and publications.
The team clearly understands the challenges we face as experts trying to share complex, nuanced insights in an increasingly fragmented media landscape. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine commitment to quality have made every interaction positive & productive.
Success in Bringing Sources and Publications Together
The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. Qwoted has consistently demonstrated success in actually connecting the right experts with the right opportunities.
I've been quoted in articles that reached audiences I wouldn't have accessed otherwise, contributing insights on AI innovation, mentorship best practices, and digital transformation that needed to be part of the broader conversation.
For those of us working in specialized domains—particularly at the intersection of multiple fields—finding journalists who understand the context and complexity of our work is challenging.
Qwoted makes it possible, and they make it reliable.
A Platform for the Future of Expert Commentary
As AI continues to transform how we work, learn, and innovate, the need for credible expert voices has never been greater.
Platforms like Qwoted represent the future of how knowledge should be shared with the public, connecting those doing the work with those telling the stories, in a way that serves both accuracy and accessibility.
Whether you're pioneering new methodologies in AI, developing innovative mentorship frameworks, or working to improve digital literacy across sectors, Qwoted provides the infrastructure to ensure your expertise reaches the audiences who need it most.
For anyone hesitating about whether to invest time in another platform: Qwoted is worth it.
It's reliable, it's effective, and it's run by people who genuinely care about elevating expert voices in an age when we need them more than ever.

Excellent platform and highly recommend
There is a reason why publicists will pay a high monthly fee for this service - because it is extremely valuable. I highly recommend for agencies and experts representing themselves. The customer service is incredible and there are constant improvements. I appreciate all of the meet-ups and webinars too.

UPDATE:
So, I got this reply accusing me of "spam". Since my account was opened, I have probably submitted no more than 6-7 responses to journalists, all relevant requests that match my expertise. My account was active for 6 months. From all of these, I was featured 4 times by outlets like Live Science. Success, Family Handyman, and more.
So, please tell me, what have I done that you consider spammy? Your reply is a copy-paste script, and you haven't even bothered to look into my case.
Get in touch with me via e-mail, and let's resolve this dispute; it's totally unacceptable.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I waited almost a year to leave this review. I didn't want to leave the review because I hoped my situation would be resolved at some point, and maybe this was temporary. This company disables and blocks customers without any reason whatsoever. I have contributed to multiple outlets, including Tom's Guide, Live Science, Family Handyman, and more. After 3 months, my account was suspended without any explanation.
If you try to communicate with them, they will simply ignore you. This isn't how you build a credible media company.
I do not recommend the platform, as it is very unprofessional and rude.
Go with platforms such as Featured (HARO) Sources of Sources, and don't waste your time here.

Account Disabled Without Warning – Zero Communication for Weeks
I have been an active expert source on Qwoted for over a year, successfully contributing to major outlets like Forbes, BBC, and Travel+Leisure. My experience recently turned into a total lack of professional transparency.
I realized something was wrong when my regular email notifications for relevant media requests suddenly stopped in December. When I tried to log in at the start of January to investigate, I discovered my account had been disabled without any prior warning or explanation.
The lack of support is systemic:
Complete Silence: I sent multiple inquiries to their support team and my assigned Success Manager over the last three weeks. Every single email went unanswered.
Failed Live Chat: I attempted to resolve this via live chat today. The agent used an incorrect script claiming I was a duplicate user. When I explained that I have been a loyal user for over a year, the agent simply abandoned the conversation.
It seems I am not alone in this experience. Other recent reviews from users like Svetlana and Ehlana confirm a pattern of Qwoted blocking relevant, high-quality contributors with zero explanation or customer service.
If Qwoted is purging accounts to prioritize paid users, they should at least have the professional courtesy to inform their long-term partners. Disabling a proven expert source without a word is not how you build a credible media network.
I am now moving my expertise to more reliable and transparent platforms like HARO, Featured.com (owns also HARO), and Sources of Sources (SOS). Do not waste your time here if you expect basic communication or professional respect.
EDIT (13 February):
Trustpilot contacted me stating that Qwoted requested additional details to recognize my review.
I confirm that I was an active user of Qwoted for over a year. If further verification is required, Qwoted can contact me directly using the information associated with my account.
I stand by my review, which reflects my personal experience.
UPDATE (14 February 2026):
Trustpilot has contacted me again requesting additional verification details to confirm my experience with Qwoted. Here are the requested details:
Account email: provided privately via verification form
Account created: March 2024
Last successful login: December 2025
Success Manager: Shelby Bridges
Interestingly, my Success Manager Shelby Bridges viewed both my company profile (World Travel Index) and my LinkedIn profile immediately after I posted this review - proving that Qwoted is fully aware of who I am and can easily verify my account. Yet despite this, I still have received zero communication regarding why my account was disabled.
Qwoted has complete access to my account history and can verify all details at any time.
EDIT (18 February 2026) - Response to Qwoted's Reply:
Thank you for finally responding after weeks of silence.
However, your explanation raises serious questions:
1. "Inconsistent login patterns across time zones" - I am a travel industry expert who was traveling internationally throughout 2025 - which is literally my area of expertise that I pitched to journalists. Are you seriously flagging a travel expert for logging in from different countries while traveling? That's not suspicious activity - that's proof of my credentials. International travel is part of my professional work. This explanation makes no sense for someone in the travel industry.
2. "AI-generated content" - This claim is particularly puzzling. Qwoted has integrated third-party AI detection tools (GPTZero until Q3 2025, then Pangram) that automatically check all pitches before submission. Every single one of my pitches passed with 0% AI detection and was flagged as human-written. My contributions were published in Forbes, BBC, and Travel+Leisure - outlets with rigorous editorial standards. Are you suggesting these publications ran AI content?
3. "Spam or off-topic" - Major international publications found my travel industry expertise relevant enough to quote. How is that spam?
The core issue remains unchanged: You disabled my account without warning, ignored weeks of inquiries, and only responded after a public review. Your Success Manager Shelby Bridges viewed my LinkedIn profile after this review, confirming you knew exactly who I was - yet chose not to communicate directly.
If there was a legitimate concern, basic professional courtesy would have been to reach out before disabling the account of a proven contributor to top-tier outlets.

I wrote around 4 pitches that were highly relevant, specifically requests for products for Valentines' day. Then I decided to pay for a year. Tried to do another relevant pitch on the same day and discovered that my account is blocked due to "negative feedback". What feedback? All I did was send descriptions with links to relevant products, as was requested. No explanation what I did wrong, just a letter with a refund and recommendation to turn to free resources. Thanks, I will. How are we supposed to know what we did wrong or how we abused the system? On the plus side, they are not money grabbers considering the refund, which I am supposedly getting soon. But overall, it was a very bad experience. I was ONLY replying to relevant requests. I am no spammer. If you guys have such high standards for pitchers in your elite club, you should live up to these standards by at the very least explaining what they are.
