Slow Customer Service
Parcel arrived quickly but a cheaper version of the pan set we had ordered. Tried to resolve with company first and although initially offered a refund or the correct product time wouldn’t allow. Correspondence has been slow and laboured and has now dried up altogether. We are now left seeking a refund direct from Amazon and we’ll get the product somewhere else. Won’t be going here anytime soon
We purchased a dometic airpro 5…
We purchased a dometic airpro 5 windbreak and on 2nd time inflating a support beam burst due to incorrect fixing of zip tie on zip during manufacturing. I contacted purely outdoors and received outstanding customer service which resulted within 10 days a new support beam bladder was posted to us. Can't fault the communication or service.
Utterly disgusted with this outlet
Attended today for the 1st time. Very disappointed as very little on the shelves, the assistants were not very helpful at all. We purchased awning lights while we were there, all to be told after 25 minutes, that they couldn't find them. We were given a refund as we already paid by card, then was told to wait for 3 days for the money to be returned into our account. We also showed the cashier a purely outdoors awning carpet that we wanted. She bought out the same size carpet but a leisurewise brand and said it was the same. When we got home, we cross referenced the carpets and found that she charged us 12 pound more that what the purely outdoors carpet would have cost. A very unhappy experience, sadly will never use again. So so disappointed as we thought we had found a great outlet for our caravan needs.

Do not use this company. Read the reviews. Customer service is measured when things go wrong not when things go right. My item was left in an undesignated area by the courier. Dumped photographed and left. I reported via email and they said an investigation would take place. I went out and purchased an alternative and provided evidence of this and asked for a refund as the one from them was no longer needed as it was required for the weekend. I was offered a refund on condition I signed a disclosure form. I refused as my contract is with the retailer not the courier. I was then accused of being dodgy for refusing to sign. There is no legal basis for any customer to sign any paperwork for non, incorrect or lost deliveries. But because I exercised my right not to I'm labelled dodgy Luckily I spoke to my card company and paid by credit card and a section 75 has been submitted.
Don’t waste your time or money
We purchased a Camptech moto crown awning from this company. On first try out, we discovered the internal door zip was broken. We sent photos & asked for a replacement within the 30 days after buying. We were advised of various ways to “fiddle” with the zip, to get it to work. Having spent £500 on a brand new awning, I was not expecting to have to make do & mend! Eventually they agreed to accept a return & provide me with a refund. Even then, it was a farce, with tooing & frowing with if they would send me a return note, or sending a courier to pick it up. Eventually a courier arrived, who was not expecting such a large box. Thanks to the individual courier who used his brains for a work around, it is finally on its way back. I will never buy from Purely Outdoors again!

I wish I could leave a review of no stars! Bought an item with a tear in it so wanted a return or replacement under the consumer act 2015. They insisted that it had to go back to the manufacturer to be inspected. I reminded them of their legal obligations but they were evasive and would not honour their obligations. Now reporting them to trading standards and raising small claims court action against them if they do not honour their obligations.

I was struggling to buy a Telta sun canopy and was recommended to try Purely Outdoors.
The service has been brilliant from the initial phone call to them to make an enquiry to the fast delivery of my purchase.
Terrible customer service
Bought a caravan cover. Cover is now 13 months old and I have just discovered that it is leaking. Requested a refund but this has been refused as it is out of the 12 months old warranty period. Purely Outdoors appears to consider the product failing after just 13 months to be acceptable. I have pointed out that the Sale of Goods Act requires goods to be fit for purpose, and that this includes a reasonable serviceable life, but Purely Outdoors is maintaining its position. Looking at the other reviews it appears that other people have had similar customer service issues when dealing with Purely Outdoors.
Ordered gas canisters
Ordered gas canisters, delivery driver dumped my parcel right next to the pavement. Didn't knock or ring bell. No email notifications.
I will not ever order from this company again. Good riddence.
Great service- bought a drive-away awning.
Visited today to view drive away awnings for our Motorhome. Received excellent service and advice from Andy, and instruction on how to attach it/erect it. So we’ve ordered a Vango. Thanks Andy- we are looking forward to using it next year.

Amazing experience at the shop yesterday!
I needed a 6kg Propane cylinder and advice on a few more bits for our caravan and received all that and more.
Andy was not only able to advise me on what I needed but literally went straight to the stock on the shelves to supply the bits at great prices which included an offered 5% discount because of my Camping and Caravanning Club membership.
The shop is very modern, clean, tidy, well laid out and stocked with some very high quality and useful items.
Purely outdoors is just over an hour from my home and are now my absolute favourite supplier. I'm not going to say "my go to guys from the get go" because I'm English and I'm sure you know what I mean ;-)
Very highly recommended.

They make up excuses that are not in the documentation, so that they can get away with replacing damaged awnings.

Ordered a coolbox via next day delivery. DPD sent to the wrong distribution centre which delayed delivery. Needed the item asap for a trip and customer service were great. They checked and confirmed it would arrive the following day and refunded the postage. Quick response to emails and overall happy with the experience.

Do not travel to this store if you want to view tents.

First 3 x use driveway awning may leak?
First use of driveway awning, it leaks everywhere. Middle of roof sections all over like rain inside. Phoned for help.
Let it go through 3 wet/dry weather cycles before it becomes weatherproof.
Having a laugh at my expense.
Ask me to take photos when on 4th raining in experience. He said the driveway awnings are like this.

Awful experience
Awful experience. My item never made it to me and the company do not want any responsibility what so ever, they are not replying to my emails. They are happy to take my £399 but I have no item. Currently seeking advice and going through the correct channels now. But please avoid unless you want them stealing from you. They basically like to take your money then just ignore you. Please do not use them.
