The Truth About PromptBase: Fake Reviews, Personal Attacks, and Zero Seller Support
UPDATE [06-02-2026]: The platform's response above confirms my original point: there is a clear double standard in moderation.
On "Harassment": The platform claims I "confronted" the buyer. In reality, I asked for technical proof (outputs) to verify a public claim that my product was "low quality"—a standard troubleshooting step for any digital product. The platform owner, however, continues to ignore that the buyer used abusive language, calling me a "pathetic liar," which is a clear violation of professional conduct that went unpunished.
On "Integrity": While the platform claims to protect "honest reviews," they refuse to verify the technical accuracy of those reviews when evidence is provided.
The Conclusion stands: This marketplace prioritizes "buyer experience" even when it involves verbal abuse and unverified claims, while threatening sellers who attempt to defend their professional reputation with facts.
My account of the "biased moderation" remains 100% factual.
Original review:
I have been a seller on this platform for two to three years, and what I am experiencing is completely unacceptable, and I can no longer stay silent about the absolute lack of integrity in how it is run.
There is no real moderation of fake reviews and accounts on this platform. A buyer can leave a one-star review without providing any evidence, and nothing happens. In my case, a buyer publicly labeled my prompt as low quality and made personal attacks against me, yet never showed a single output to support those claims.
When I contacted the buyer and asked a simple and reasonable question — “If the prompt is low quality, please show the outputs” the buyer did not respond and provided nothing. Despite this, the review remained visible.
I then contacted the platform owner. Instead of acting as a neutral moderator, he refused to take any action. He seems biased and dismissive. Even after being informed that the buyer was making personal attacks and refusing to show outputs, nothing was done. Personal insults from buyers toward sellers are apparently acceptable here. What makes this worse is that the owner refuses to even verify the prompt himself, despite being explicitly asked to do so. He does not request outputs from the buyer, does not investigate the claims, evidence I have provided with proofs and screenshots, and simply brushes everything off. He refused. He would rather let a fake review stand than spend five minutes verifying the truth.
Response times are extremely slow, and when they do come, they are consistently biased toward the buyer, regardless of the evidence provided. From a seller’s perspective, there is zero protection. Sellers are treated unfairly against fraudulent narratives and with no respect, and problems are not actually solved. This is not how a marketplace should function. An owner’s responsibility is to be unbiased and ensure fair treatment, and that is clearly not happening on this platform. Dishonest buyers are given a free pass to harass us.
On top of all this, the platform is simply not worth a seller’s time. For the vast majority of sellers, the income is negligible, and when you factor in the time spent creating prompts, dealing with some dishonest buyers, handling fake reviews, and nonexistent support, the return is not worth it. There are significantly more sellers than actual buyers here.
Is it worth your time to deal with harassment, a biased owner, and a broken review system, and support does not intervene even in clear abuse cases? For most sellers, the answer is no. The platform doesn't value your work, doesn't protect your reputation. Your time is better spent doing something more productive than selling prompts on a platform that does not protect or respect its sellers.
