Take your money, miss out items from your deluvery box and never refund even though you chase them multiple times! Do not use!! Cant trust this company!! I am still waiting for my refund since 10th December 2024!!

The food is of commendable quality, with fresh ingredients, strong flavor, and a level of consistency that sets it above average. However, the experience is consistently let down by packaging issues. Containers frequently arrive damaged or leaking, making each delivery unreliable.

The order cancellation process is equally frustrating. Even after cancellations are confirmed, items are still sent out, which highlights a lack of coordination between the ordering system and fulfillment.

Although the food holds up well, the combination of poor customer service and operational inefficiencies significantly impacts the overall experience. Resolving these areas would align the service with the standard of the food.

Brilliant meal prep company with so many different options. All the meals are so tasty, to the point where since I started ordering I haven’t once thought ‘I don’t fancy that, I’ll order a takeaway’. The meals are also packed well and include ice packs to remain cold. The customer service has always been top notch and efficient whenever I’ve had any questions. I’d definitely recommend.

Been receiving meals from gainz for over 12 month/ never had an issue with 1 single box…meals always on point & different variety of tastes….good high protein & carbs. Leigh & the teams always provide good service to the needs of a customer

Prep gainz are by far the best meals around, I have tried all the meal places and always now stuck with Gainz.

There is one main issue and it's not Gainz's fault, it's the delivery company, they literally don't give to f's about what is in the box and the amount of times I have had broken meals, and again it happened to me today.

On a plus Leighanne from Gainz is always very responsive and gets the refunds or sorts out incorrect meals. I appreciate the support you give. I know the delivery services are all as bad as one another and i know it's not your fault, but it helps when you have quick responses from the Team.

Let's hope one day these delivery companies buck their ideas up and they are causing havoc for good companies like Gainz.

Received my order today, packed extremely well, tried my first of 5 meals, chicken katsu with rice, edamame beans and broccoli. It was delicious.
Looking forward to my next 4 meals Red Thai, Chinese peppered steak, salt n pepper chicken and chicken satay.

Never have I ever had a tastier meal preps than I have from gainz the seasoning is spot on even my children like them and they are fussy as hell…the packaging is fantastic even sent with a reusable icepack which is great…the macros have kept me on track with my fitness the desserts are to die for especially the snickers protein balls OMG heaven. Customer care is top notch even when I message for a simple query they are always on hand and happy to help. Thank you to Andy leighanne and the team I recommend you guys everywhere I go

Received my order yesterday.. had the JD chicken last night.. delicious.. tonight’s is the salt and pepper chicken.. looks amazing.. would definitely recommend these meals.. 😋

I really had high hopes for these prep meals given the social activity and appreciate there's always mixed reviews. The order process and delivery was great no issues there hence the 2 stars although £8.99 delivery is a tad high compared to other companies. Unfortunately the meal quality themselves really weren't nice at all and i was really disappointed. The Chinese peppered steak was fatty and very chewy barely edible. The butter meatballs were rock hard and slimy in texture and were unpleasant to eat. Creamy southwest chicken was very watery and had an awful taste. The jack Daniels chicken was grey in colour and smelt slightly off and the chicken texture wasn't nice. The carbless cheeseburgers were inedible sorry they were like rubber to eat and didn't look like beef. I really couldn't eat any of these 5 meals and i was so disappointed as was really looking forward to them. The food also had ice crystal on the inside which normally forms when food is frozen still warm which means when its defrosted fully it makes the contents soggy as water in left in the food. these meal had no real colour very bland looking especially the meal and veg and i feel i wasted £40 as couldn't eat them. Sadly therefore i wont be ordering them again and cant recommend them as hoped these would be an ideal option for my elderly in laws but they wont.

I started these meals 1 and a half month ago.

Firstly the meals are the tastiest meal prep I’ve tried. It does not feel like your eating meal prep the food is so good.

I’ve lost 2 stone in this time and I feel amazing.

I’ve tried different meal preps and none of them come close!

Trust me if you are thinking about starting to cut weight these are the best to do the job.

Got sent out of date food, the use by date was out before I even placed my order. Very dissatisfied as I’ve bought 5 meals!

EDIT: I've now received my refund thank you.

A real shame because I enjoyed the food but I'm no longer ordering until I receive the missing meals or a refund for them, the customer service so far has been shocking, my first order arrived a week late due to the snow at the beginning of the month which to be fair couldn't be helped, but I've text the number (someone called Leighanne?) to say these meals were missing from my order, she said we will send them with your next order which was bold to assume I'd order again when it was a one off purchase to try the food first, luckily I did enjoy it and made another order, even messaged Leighanne the order number to make sure the missing meals are included, no reply, and the meals were still missing from my next order! I've text the number and also emailed now, no answer on email, Leighanne replied 'how strange they must have put them in the wrong box I do apologise leave it with me' this was on 17th January. I asked they be sent out asap or process a refund, nothing. I text again on 23rd January, still no reply so I have no choice but to write a review to get somewhere with this!

This company is bunch of scamers, my last food order and it never arrived, and I never have received my money back either. You can see that they dont care about customers and their plans are just to steal poor peoples money that they spend on these horrible meals that they supose to provide.

I've been using Prep By Gainz for nearly 2 years now and they are without doubt the best out there. I cannot fault the customer service. Especially Leighanne who is always extremely helpful and always goes the extra mile.

Food is so tasty and nutritious in each bite 😋. Literally can feel my gainz while having some nutritious meal specially after my intense gym sessions.

Always worth a money ! Without proper nutrition Fitness goal is impossible to achieve so I always choose Prep by gainz to optimize my hard work in the gym

I’ve used these for three weeks and virtually all of the meals have been far tastier, with far more protein, much more filling and will more natural ingredients than any ready meals that I’ve had from the supermarket. Really pleased and will continue to subscribe.

I feel like I've edited this review more times than enough and now I will explain why. I placed my first order just before Christmas which should have been received by myself on the Wednesday. It came on the Tuesday - no big deal, but it would have been nice to have been told it would not be coming on the Wednesday. Nowhere on their website or social media does it state that they do not deliver on days such as Christmas etc as some delivery companies actually do that I've tried. Anyways, I swept that aside. The meals that week overall were nice, albeit some very peppery and also some soggy wraps. The following week, my box was supposed to come on the Wednesday again (New Years Day). I had a notification from DPD to state they were awaiting my box on NYE so there was nothing that made me think it wouldn't come still. Once again, no social media posts or notification to alert you to any changes. The box didn't come, meaning I had no meals to take to work with me. I'd already spent around £60+ on the meals, but ended up spending additional ££ on takeouts so I had food. I contacted Prep by Gainz via email, phone and all social media outlets... no response. It was only by chance that I found a support email on here. In the mean time I was very unhappy so I left a negative review on here. I then received an almost instant reply to my email from Andrew who basically shamed me for leaving such a review and tried to make me feel guilty that his chefs had come in for new years to make the food and that it was DPD fault. Also made me feel guilty for emailing them as the team were on annual leave. I'm sorry but as a company you shouldn't be making customers feel sorry or guilty for doing anything. Theve spent a lot of money and when the contact between customer and company is non-existant , what do you expect? Whilst the team are off on annual leave, customers are stressing wondering where their box is? If it will arrive? If they need to go to the shop and cook meals for work or not? Sitting waiting for hours for a reply that will never come? Google saying they are open... someone posting a story to their social media post but ignoring direct messages? I've never ever had this experience with other meal prep companies before. Anyways, The box never ended up arriving, they said DPD lost it? There seems to be alot of reviews on here saying how terrible the delivery is and prep by gainz blaming them constantly- which probably is true.. but why keep using DPD then? Or why not have a backup company for when things go wrong? Andrew got a replacement box sent out via special delivery with DPD which did arrive the next day (Day 3 of no box). The meals this time were not as nice, I have no idea why. But even my partner agreed who tried them. Andrew then told me that if I left a positive review for sorting out the replacement box, he would put some free items in my next order. Initially I thought this was OK however looking back on my journey with this company , I feel this is manipulative. Surely sorting out the replacement box is what good customer service does? You shouldn't need thanking for this through good reviews. I notice others have edited their negative reviews on here so seems to be a reoccuring thing.. ? When things go wrong It should be expected that companies either replace or refund especially for a premium service. Oh and by the way, the free items were not in my next order. I've cancelled my subscription now as I've never had such a bizarre experience with a food delivery service. I read reviews that people were charged even after they cancelled. I cancelled my subscription days ago and it still says that the " action is pending". So I had to cancel my debit card too as I didn't trust that I would not be charged. Absolute shame as I had been looking forward to trying this company for years when they just used to be collection only. Someone needs to be employed to be answering the phone or dedicated to answering emails and social media queries... I understand things go wrong but blaming DPD constantly as per other reviews isn't the way to go. Instead, respond to people's issues and get them rectified. This includes giving out refunds if necessary and not just saying you will and not following through. It's not right. I used to work in catering and hospitality for 6 years as a manager, so I do know about the sector and dealt with such issues myself but never spoke to my customers this way and always went above and beyond to rectify issues. Even if this meant providing a refund and a replacement item. Good customer service costs nothing.

My first meal with my new box today i had to throw as part of the chicken tasted vile. My meals came "chilled" with 1 ice pack and some bubble wrap? I give up. At this point I just want a full refund so I can go to my supermarket.

I never leave negative < reviews but this experience has been too poor.

So far paid for 2 deliveries and haven't received any food.
No reply to emails or phone calls.
I've had no food and no contact but am £200 down.
There's plenty similar companies out there, I'd recommend trying one who'll actually feed you

First time ordering from Prep by Gainz and honestly their customer service is incredible. Leighanne who i was dealing with was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Their food is so tasty and the best Prep company I have used. Will highly recommend them to everyone.
