Save your money … and sanity!

To call this place a bad joke would be an understatement. I’m surprised I even received an email asking for a review. The address is 5150 — so apropos. Let me explain…

The Long Beach PCH location was my second office with Premier. My first office in Santa Monica was a great experience from start to finish. This location was a misguided choice I regretted.

The manager was as incompetent as her man-secretary who doesn’t know how to send basic emails. My requests often would go unfulfilled and I’d get blatant lies about why. The odd thing is I *barely* asked for anything or even used anything outside of my office, not even the kitchen.

From Day 1 there were issues.

I work in media and was turning my side hustles into my main hustle because I was preparing to be laid off due to Covid. I’m used to working crazy hours, late or early, and was still required to work my primary job before I was to be let go in order to receive my severance pay. I asked Lilian if there would be a desk in my office when I start working there. She said she would have one there for me. It was not — I had to sign in to my main job remotely while working on the floor with my laptop until her assistants brought one.

The experiences there would only get worse over time. (I wish I could detail more.)

The office and building itself is a nightmare. (The location might even be considered worse.) No offense but you would have to be someone who isn’t used to “nice things” if you think anything about that office is mildly impressive. I *rarely* saw Lilian there, and I’m not surprised.

God bless her, there is a homeless woman who has mental health issues who has made a semi residence on the corner right in front of the building. Nothing against her or anybody in her shoes but it was a blight. She brings her entire belongings everyday. She is so well known around town that the day I accidentally locked my keys in my car, a locksmith confirmed my location by describing the woman on the corner. I guess she has lived there for some time.

There would frequently be mentally-ill people hanging around the building. One in particular made it a point to randomly shout the N-word at cars throughout the day. (Of course, this also provoked fights. On at least one occasion I looked out my window and saw someone beat the crap out of him.) No normal person wants to hear or see any of that while they’re trying to work.

Parking was never convenient underground. I eventually started parking above ground in the limited parking area mostly reserved for ChildNet. My car was damaged by the spike strips in the underground parking after it busted my exhaust pipe, even though my car doesn’t sit low enough to warrant it touching it. I spent months with a loud exhaust because I didn’t want to fix it so long as I might possibly have to park there.

The walls are paper thin — don’t expect any privacy. The building is also unbearably hot during the summer weekends (and night) because they don’t run AC. My office was next to a window facing East and felt like a sauna by noon if I didn’t open the door.

People who work at the building are also very creepy, especially some of the maintenance crew. Avoid eye contact and conversation at all costs!

The last straw was coming to the office on the weekend in my gym shorts and having someone in cleaning say I was in my underwear! I really let Lilian have it when she shared this BS with me via email. If she bothered to do the slightest diligence and look at the camera she would have seen what I was wearing.

I finally had enough and left before my lease expired Nov. 1. I refused to pay at that point. I found a better office.

I was torn between the PCH office and the other office downtown but simply chose 5150 because I wouldn’t have to traverse so many floors — the other office was too high for me.

Lesson learned.

Paying *anything* for this location is too much money. They should have been paying me!

Watch Out For The Shark!

The facility is nice, but you got to watch out for the shark, she is vicious. Please please read your contract carefully before you sign up. It’s not a month to month. I was informed from the get go that’s a month to month contract. When I asked to be released from my contract, I was informed I have to give a 60 days notice. My lease was supposed to be a month to month lease. DON’T BELIEVE IT! I gave my notice in November, she wanted to keep me all the way until February. So be very very careful. Avoid that shark, she is dishonest. Once my contract is over, I will NEVER give them my business ever again. Her name starts with an L.
