Samuel came to provide a quote for a soak away and was clearly experienced. I found the translation between his advice and recommendation to the back office a little odd and still have some unanswered questions. However, overall, a good experience.

What rubbish!
This company needs to be better organised, and to alter their website. Can’t comment on their workmanship as no one arrived. About 9.30 am booked an engineer to attend the next day, told I would get a confirmatory email. Nothing had arrived by about 4.30, so phoned them, and it finally got sent. This email said the next morning I would get a text with “the name of the attending engineer, their vehicle registration and their contact number”. Looked good, except next morning by about 9.45, no text. Phoned them up and spoke to ‘the manager’ who apologised and said the engineer would call me about 30 min before arriving. Then about 2.30 pm, ‘the manager’ again called to say very sorry, we don’t actually cover your area, a new member of staff made a mistake. Which of course the manager didn’t pick up on despite my earlier phone call, so waited all day and still need a drainage engineer. What rubbish!

From what you have described, the level of communication you received fell below the standard we expect from our team. Once your appointment had been accepted, the fact that your address was outside of our service area should have been identified immediately. You should certainly not have been left waiting throughout the day expecting an engineer to attend, particularly after you had contacted our office that morning for an update.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the confirmation email and the information provided about receiving the attending engineer’s details. Our usual procedure is to provide customers with their engineer’s details and for the engineer to make contact regarding their estimated arrival time. In this instance, however, the booking itself should not have progressed to that stage if we were unable to provide coverage in your area.
We accept that an error was made when the original booking was taken by a newer member of the team, but we also recognise that this should have been picked up much sooner during the subsequent communication with our office. We are reviewing this internally so that our team are clearer on the areas we currently service and so that customers are not inconvenienced in the same way in future.
We are particularly sorry that you set aside your time and waited for an engineer who ultimately could not attend. We fully appreciate that customers contacting a drainage company are often dealing with an issue that needs prompt attention, and losing valuable time as a result of an administrative error is understandably frustrating.
Although we did not have the opportunity to demonstrate the standard of workmanship and drainage service that we pride ourselves on, we acknowledge that the customer experience begins from the very first telephone call, and on this occasion we did not provide the level of organisation or communication that we expect from ourselves.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Feedback such as yours is important because it allows us to identify where our procedures need to be improved. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience, wasted time and frustration caused.

Great craftsmanship, but communication and scheduling need improvement
I have mixed feelings about my experience with this company. On one hand, the actual plumbing work was excellent. The technician who came to my home was professional, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job resolving the issue. Additionally, whenever I spoke with the office staff, they were incredibly polite and courteous.On the other hand, the process leading up to the repair was frustrating. I experienced several communication gaps and unexpected delays in getting things scheduled and confirmed. While the quality of the work and the friendliness of the staff are big pluses, the administrative backend and scheduling communication definitely have room for improvement. I would consider using them again, but I hope they streamline their updates and timing for future customers.

1 star – Very disappointing experience
I would not recommend Precise Drainage Solutions based on my experience.
I paid a substantial amount for a full drain survey, report and CCTV footage. From the outset there were problems: the original survey was cancelled at the last minute with no proper communication. I then repeatedly chased for the report and footage, eventually being told there was no record of the original survey, meaning it had to be repeated.
Despite this, I foolishly put my trust in the company again and instructed further liner work. The work was interrupted, there were concerns over the preparation and cleaning, my property was not correctly protected and resin was left on and damaged the property. When they returned, the resin was poorly removed.
Most seriously, the foul drainage hatch was left unsecured. Around a week later, raw sewage entered two lower areas of my property. Their own surveyor suggested the unsecured hatch may have been the route.
Although they eventually returned to rectify the hatch, by then I had completely lost confidence in the workmanship and management of the job.
After extensive correspondence, a very small amount was eventually refunded as a goodwill payment, which I accepted simply to bring the matter to an end, with the 10-year guarantee remaining in place.
Having finally resolved the matter, I was then asked to leave a Google review.
So here it is: my honest experience was one of repeated poor communication, administration and workmanship, property damage and, most seriously, sewage entering my property.
I would strongly recommend anyone considering using this company to do thorough due diligence first.

We take comments of this nature extremely seriously. We recognise that there were aspects of the communication and administration surrounding your appointments that caused frustration, and we apologise that your experience in these areas did not meet the standard we aim to provide.
We would, however, like to clarify that some of the points and conclusions contained within this review do not fully reflect our understanding of the circumstances or the extensive discussions that subsequently took place. In particular, where the cause of damage, drainage issues or sewage ingress is concerned, we do not believe it would be appropriate to make assumptions regarding responsibility through a public review platform where the circumstances may be more complex.
Following your concerns, PDS remained engaged with you, returned to the property, investigated the matters raised and undertook actions intended to address the outstanding concerns. We also maintained communication in an effort to reach an amicable conclusion. A goodwill payment was ultimately agreed and accepted, and, as you have confirmed, the applicable 10-year guarantee for the qualifying remedial works remains in place.
We are sorry that you felt the removal of resin and protection of the surrounding property fell below expectations. Care of a customer's property is extremely important to us, and feedback regarding workmanship, preparation and site protection is taken seriously and reviewed internally with the relevant members of our team.
With regard to the request for a review, our intention when asking customers for feedback is simply to understand their experience and allow them to provide their genuine opinion. We would never expect a customer to leave a positive review where they did not feel one was warranted.
While we appreciate that your confidence in PDS was affected by your experience, we are pleased that dialogue remained open long enough for the matter to reach a conclusion. We will use the concerns you have raised as an opportunity to review our internal communication, scheduling, quality-control and customer-care procedures so that lessons can be taken forward.
We sincerely regret that your experience did not reflect the high standards we work hard to provide to our customers, and we wish you all the very best moving forward.

It was a good experience
It was a good experience. They arrived and got on with the job at hand. I was disappointed that they did not protect the wall. I had said to the young operative on Wednesday that they had to protect the wall. The damage is minor and I will get the builder to touch it up when he is next at the property. The main man on the prompt in dealing with sanitary equipment that was destabilised during the work.

Their service and Engineer Joshua was outstanding. After removing blocked Gully and installing two resin liners within the 4inch clay pipe he accessed via our neighbour after checking everything.
Excellent service and gave a 10 year guarantee. Joshua checked every aspect of the problem and explained so we could understand. Thank you.
